This is the prophetic word for February 2020, the Hebraic month of Shevat. Get Ready to Bloom.
This Hebrew month of Shevat began on January 25th and goes through February 25th. 15th of Shevat (Tu B’Shevat) is known as the New Year of trees. This year it is on February 10th. This is a celebration of the almond trees coming into bloom! What is interesting about this celebration is that it is done while the trees are still looking dried up and dead.
However, the celebration is about what is to come. Celebrating the potential of a new day, a new season of blooming. The Almond Tree means promises being fulfilled, fruitfulness.
What is the significance of the Almond Tree in the scripture?
Jeremiah 1:9-12 New International Version (NIV)
9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
11 The word of the Lord came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”
“I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied.
12 The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”
We see the correlation between what we say and what we see.
The Lord wants you to say what you see. So what do you see? It is important to know that God will fill your mouth with those declarations. Your words have the power to create. Therefore what you speak is what you reap.
So we don’t speak what we see right now but we speak into the future. We speak our potential. We speak our future.
It is walking by faith and not by sight!
It is declaring a thing and seeing it spring forth. As you do this the Lord would say to you “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.” God fulfills His word and watches over it to perform it.
Ask Him to give you a vision of your future.
It is also the rainy season in Israel and this brings to mind this scripture…
Isaiah 55:10-12 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 “The rain and snow come down from the heavens
and stay on the ground to water the earth.
They cause the grain to grow,
producing seed for the farmer
and bread for the hungry.
11 It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
12 You will live in joy and peace.
The mountains and hills will burst into song,
and the trees of the field will clap their hands!
As you declare the of God over your future and what you see, God will bring it to pass. This is a promise. His word doesn’t just dissipate into thin air it actually accomplishes something. Speak His word. As you do that you bring about change. Dead things come to life. What appears to be nothing at first turns into something.
Here’s a prayer for you…
Abba Father, open my eyes to see the wondrous things in Your Word. You said no eyes have seen and we can’t even perceive the things you have planned for those who love you. Well, I love You and today I ask you for a glimpse of that plan. Show me what you have in store for me in this season. Show me what you have in store for me now. Show me what you have in store for me in 2020. As you show it to me, fill my mouth with prophetic declarations and give me creative power in my speech to turn these dry bones into life. Streams of living water flowing through the wilderness of my life. Renew my hope in You and Your promises, in Jesus name, Amen!
As you remain close to the Lord in the secret place, through prayer, reading His word and declaring His Word over what He will show you, you will see all that you have said come to pass. Focus on the future and get ready to bloom.
