Hi Billy, when you bind a spirit you must loose the opposite in its place. So before you bind the spirit you must know what you are going to loose. Also yes you can loose someone from a negative spirits which would be like loosing them from chains but you would then need to bind them to the opposite of what you loosed. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Grace, thank you for the reminder!! I made an edit to the post. The reason binding and loosing is temporary is due to sin. We bind and loose based on our spiritual authority. The minute those demonic spirits realize they are bound from operating in a way they have grown accustomed to they immediately start looking for a work around or a way out of the chains you’ve used to tie them in the spirit. So, there comes along another demon whose sole purpose is to get you to fall into sin so that they can accuse you before the Lord and untie the chains you use to bound them in the first place. Hello Ablessyn82, you must bind the negative action and loose the opposite positive action. Therefore, the opposite of deception is truth. You bind deception and loose truth. Always remember that the purpose of prayer is to communicate with God and operate in the spiritual realm. Prayer is not a means of controlling people or changing their mind or decisions. Controlling people through prayer is just another form of witchcraft. Before you start binding and loosing in this relationship you may want to ask God if the relationship is indeed ordained by Him.

Hi Chamika, I don’t think you have anything in this situation that requires binding. If your son’s father has left he’s not in the picture so you should be praying that God would give him a heart to see his children and pay his child support. Are you married to him? If not, ask God to send you a spouse and pray for the emotional well being of your boys and yourself. Ask God to supply for your needs. He is able to provide other means of support other than your ex. Binding and loosing in this situation would be used as a means to control someone’s choice and that would be witchcraft.

Saying a binding loosing prayer sounds like it might be an easy way to go about this but I believe you are going to need more than this. Hi Debbie, the first thing I would do is ask God if you should move. It doesn’t matter what you want, what is God saying? Then you obey. If you stay in a situation that God is telling you to leave that means you have no covering because you are walking in rebellion. This is why it is important to find out first. Second, you need to bind the spirit of fear within you and your entire family. What is the opposite of fear? This is what you will loose. Then you need to bind the spirit of murder and addiction, loosing life. But outside of all of this you need to find out what the Lord’s will is first. But since you said you already did that and ended up in exactly the same situation I agree with you that the Lord is teaching you something through this. I think it is how to battle on a daily basis when there is chaos around you. So the first thing I would say is you need to put the Armor of God on everyday. You also need to pray Psalm 91 over yourself, daily. Start with that. If you look under “Prayers” you will find a list of prayers for protection. The next thing I would advise you to do is ask God not to release you from this place until you learn everything you need to learn. Then you need to ask Him to show you what you are to learn from this experience. The minute you master this I am sure He will have you leave there. When you do, you don’t want your living situation to be with people that are not Christians. Your home is your place of solace. Why would you want to make your home in a war zone? Hi Jason, Binding and Loosing won’t help this problem. This is temporary type of prayer and what you need is a permanent solution. You need deliverance from a spirit of lust. You need to find a deliverance ministry in your area and go to them. If you want to try doing this on your own then you need to go on an extreme fast, like a liquid fast for 1 – 7 days and pray while you’re in the fast for God to deliver you from this. You’ll need to clear out your house of any and all things that will lead you back down this path. I want you to think of it as opposites. Binding & Loosing is opposite of each other. If you are going to bind something to you, what will you loose? So, if you are going to bind the word of God to you, you can’t bind it to your body because that’s not where it would be stored. You store the Word in your heart & mind, not on your physical body. The opposite of the Word (the truth) is a lie. Therefore, you can Bind the word of God to your heart & mind and loose the lies of the enemy. You need to think logically about it before you pray it. It must make sense. You can’t bind the fruit of the spirit to your body because….it’s spirit, so you need to bind it to your spirit. Stop and think it through. If you are binding the fruit of the Spirit to your spirit, then what are you loosing? And, isn’t the fruit of the Spirit a manifestation of the Spirit? So you can’t bind it to you, you have to bear it, manifest it. It’s fruit. Hope this makes sense. If you are still confused, don’t pray it. Ask God to give you a revelation of how to do this. Binding and loosing is replacing evil with good. Opposites.

Hi Jacqueline, It does sound as if you have some witchcraft going on there. You’re going to need to get with a deliverance minister. Because the issue wasn’t dealt with in the beginning it sounds like it may be in effect in other areas of your life as well. Find a deliverance minister or a church that specializes in deliverance in your area and work with them. This may take several sessions. If you cannot find anyone in your area then you will need to go through self deliverance for yourself and then your family and this will be a process that you need to do alone and it will require high levels of commitment from yourself to follow the exercises we will send to you. If you have no idea what the opposite of an evil manifestation is, this is too advanced for you. If your spirit is telling you not to pray this prayer, then you shouldn’t. This prayer wouldn’t be the way to approach it. It needs to be cast out and then you need to ask the Lord to show you where the child is picking up that spirit and keep the child away from that environment. As you read above binding is temporary but this is an issue that you need to address for permanent results.

HI Coco, thank you for sharing. Well, it is biblical, and the scripture was shared in the post, Jesus said it. The problem is, some Christians think they can use this in instances where it is not applicable i.e. wanting to bind someone’s flesh. It doesn’t work. This is for demonic activity and they are only bound temporarily. I’ve used it many times in instances where there is demonic opposition to get something done and it works beautifully. You are correct in saying that we are to cast out the demons because that makes it go permanently. We should always be looking for a permanent solution and not a temporary one. However, there are times when you can’t cast the demon out. What if you are in a business meeting and there is demonic activity going on? Are you going to start casting out a demon then? I’m sure those who don’t discern a demon is present will think you are crazy. Your only solution is to bind it so that you can get done what you need to do. It is HOW we use this as Christians that is the key. You can’t bind someone’s homosexual lifestyle because that is a CHOICE the person made with their flesh. We have to know the difference between works of the flesh and demonic activity. However, if you notice that there is this particular demon is around and the person has not made this choice yet, this is a different case. Hope that helps to bring some clarity. Binding and loosing can be used to further the Kingdom. It is not a permanent solution because demons don’t stay bound forever.
