Prophetic Word – Deuteronomy 8:18 Deconstruction to Reconstruction

Prophetic Word is titled Deuteronomy 8:18 the Deconstruction to the Reconstruction.

Who is this word for?  Everyone!

This is a long read but I decided to give everything to you in this one post because if I end it at Deconstruction and wait until next week to give you Reconstruction, you’re going to be depressed for a week.  I figured there’s enough depressing things happening in our world that I don’t need to add to that.  You can read until something speaks to you then stop and process it and then come back and continue reading.

Deuteronomy 8:18 ASV

But you are to remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, in order to confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

I’m sure many of you have heard this scripture before.  If you’ve been seeing the numbers 8:18 a lot this is more than likely what it is referring to.  There’s generally a process that has to happen for most of us to step into this.  This process is the deconstruction to the reconstruction.  By the end of this post you are going to know exactly where you are in this process.

You know when someone says to me “it can’t get any worse than it is for me now” I usually open my eyes wide and say “don’t say that” because you know what happens after that?  It gets worse.

It also tells me that they are not dead yet.  Que?   Dead to themself.  They still kicking and screaming on the inside, defiantly throwing an internal tantrum and God is trying to kill something within them that refuses to die.  That means they are still in the process of the deconstruction.  They have more dying to do.

Galatians 2:20

“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.”

We are supposed to be dead to ourselves.  Not so easily offended because generally offense has to do with pride.  We are too entitled.  We think God owes us something. You know the Carly Simon song “you’re so vain…I bet you think this song is about you…”  We think that once we get saved we are supposed to fly to the moon, have everything INSTANTLY!!!  Ginormous Ministry!!!  Kids that walk on water!!  King Solomon status OVERNIGHT!!!  LOL.  Until we realize, it’s not happening like that.

Deconstruction – examination of something often in order to reveal its inadequacy

Deconstruction doesn’t actually mean “demolition;” instead it means “breaking down” or analyzing something to discover its true significance (merridian-webster.com).

God doesn’t want to destroy you, He’s trying to get you to a place of pliability. That’s when He can work with you. The clay is not suppose to fight the Potter (Isaiah 64:8).  It is suppose to be easily molded into whatever the Potter desires to make of it.

What does it look like when God starts to deconstruct you?

Well first, you gotta leave Egypt!  That place God told you to leave but you’re still there.  That person God has been showing you over and over again to separate from but you’re still keeping company with them.  That ministry or church that you keep going to when you have seen so much ungodly things happening but you are still there.  Sometimes it’s leaving an attitude or behavior behind.  This means that we are always leaving some “type of Egypt”.

After Egypt comes the wilderness. In the wilderness seasons, things start getting taken away.  God starts deconstructing your entire life and getting rid of everything that has no purpose for where He’s taking you. It’s unfruitful.

So, your friends are gone (the ones from Egypt).  Your family is gone.  Your job is gone.  You lost all your money.  “Oh my it can’t get any worse!”  You better stop saying that!!!!  ….more deconstruction.

You got a divorce.  You lost your house.  Whatever friends you had left have turned away from you because they are sure you missed God and then they start telling you “don’t you realize that it all went wrong for you when you left Egypt?”.  So then you do the WORST thing you can do at this point you start reminiscing about Egypt.  Even though the words never came out of your mouth “the One who reads minds”  knows that you are going back and thinking that was better. Bad Idea!  God doesn’t like it when we do that.  It’s like Lot’s wife. When you think you hit rock bottom somehow….you still keep falling because what you thought was the bottom wasn’t.

You keep trying to stop yourself from falling even further.  But no matter what you do, it’s not working.  You’ve prayed every prayer known to man and nothing is working.  You fasted and then fasted some more.  It seems to work for about a week and then you are back to the same spot.

Have you been there?

Are you still in this place?  I have some advice for you.  Stop moving.  And, this is especially hard when you have the ‘doer’ type of personality and somehow you think you can fix it.  But the truth is this isn’t going to stop until you stop.  It’s a very humbling experience.

Stop trying to figure it out.

Stop trying to fix it yourself.

Stop thinking that you can somehow get yourself out of this mess.  No!  It’s not going to work because you are actually trying to get away from an issue that you may be facing right now but God is actually working on something within you.  Internal issues.  Control issues.  Character issues.  And even if you change location sometimes it’s still there because it’s you He’s working on.  And, then you can feel like OK I have truly surrendered now and there is nothing left to die within me.  I am dead to myself, hmmmm.

Have you ever woken up one morning and find a dead cockroach in your house.  Well, you thought it was dead until you moved in for a closer look and you see this…

The good ole twitching…LOL.  Hmmm, almost dead but not quite there yet!  LOL  Yes, you finally hit the bottom.  But, there’s still a little bit of movement going on.

Sorry, I’m not calling you a cockroach.  I just couldn’t think of a better image to explain where some of us are right now.  Almost dead, not quite.   You are down on your back.  The angel that has been assigned to get you there comes over, moves in closer to take a look “nope, she’s still moving”

Why are my promises from God taking so long???  You still have some dying to do!

How do you know you’re dead?  You have no other solution.

Why do you think the rich young ruler was having a hard time?  (Matthew 19:16-24) The more you have, is the more you are going to try and fix it.  As someone who does mission work it is so much easier for me to perform a miracle in a third world country than here in the USA.  People with no other solution have the most faith.  They NEED the miracle because they have no other options.

God is trying to get you to a place where you realize HE is all you need.

One option…Jesus.

What I am telling you here is an internal thing because I can write this and say this with my mouth but in my actions and in my heart I may be relying on something or someone else to save me.  The only One who knows the truth is God.  Man looks at the outside, God is watching the heart.

It’s an internal deconstruction because God really doesn’t want to take everything away from you.  He IS a God of prosperity.

What happens at the end of the deconstruction?

Now comes the test.  More tests?  Yep!  And, this one is very important.  It is the test to be SURE that you are dead and ready to receive ABUNDANCE.  Yep, no more twitching.  The only way to know for sure that you are dead, dead, dead is that God is going to bring about another situation to see if you learnt your lesson.

If you are really dead, then a switch would’ve occurred.

I just got a notice in the mail, I am about to lose my house and I will be homeless.

I have 2 options:

Option 1 – Oh my goodness, what am I gonna do??  I have kids.  Let me call this friend, that friend, maybe I’ll move in with my parents, I wonder if my sister will let me stay with her, I think I can sell off whatever furniture we have left in a garage sale to get the money.  This would be a SURE SIGN you are still twitching….there’s still movement.

Option 2 – Oh, OK.  Goes into the prayer closet “well, Lord you know what’s happening and Your mortgage is due and You need to fix this before (insert deadline) so let me know what You want to do” Comes out of prayer closet, unbothered, no anxiety or fear and goes back to living life.   This is a dead person.  The house doesn’t belong them it belongs to God because….

Dead men don’t own a thing!!!

That is not my house, the house belongs to Jesus.

Jesus, Your light bill is due.

Jesus, Your phone bill is due.

Jesus, Your car payment is due.

I don’t own a thing!  These are not my bills they belong to the Lord.  Why?

“I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.”

He said for us to cast our cares upon Him because He cares for us and take His yoke upon us because is yoke is light.  An exchange needs to be made.

When they came to collect the temple tax, Peter didn’t wring his hands and wonder how it would be paid since he gave up his day job.  No, he went to Jesus and basically said “Jesus, Your tax bill is due”.  Then Jesus gave him the solution.  It is not Peter’s job to figure out how to pay the taxes (Matthew 17:24-27).

When the problems come,  God doesn’t need you to carry it…You fall back and He catches you.  Have you ever seen those people crowd surfing?

If you can have enough faith to fall back into the hands of a room full of strangers and trust them to carry you until you land on your feet.  Then you have enough faith to fall back into the hands of Jesus and KNOW that HE WILL NOT LET YOU FALL!!!   Relax.  Enter the rest of the Lord.

And, Oh my goodness!  The day you experience the supernatural move of God in your life when you COMPLETELY DIE TO YOURSELF and allow GOD to show up for you like that….whew! You will never be the same.

I know I’m primarily talking about money here but this has to do with anything – your marriage!  Your husband’s infidelity is not your problem.  Hand him over to his Maker.  Your husband is not your problem that is Jesus’ problem …”Jesus, Your son is acting up, I’m leaving him in Your hands”.  Watch the change happen.  In my husband?  No, in YOU.  You are the one that God is changing on the inside, remember?  This is not about your problem, this is about you.

Stop moving!

Summary – if you have any other solutions to your problems, you haven’t died yet and you are still being deconstructed.

The only way you will ever know if you trust God is to be put in a position where you have to trust Him. The deconstruction removes IDOLATRY (anything exalted above God) and causes you to be completely reliant on Him.

God cannot have a conversation with you about wealth and finances until you are dead.  Otherwise, your little twitching, moving fingers will ruin it.  If all the bills belong to Him, then all the money or any blessings you are going to receive belongs to Him too.  I hope you understand that.  You don’t own any of it.

Let’s talk about the reconstruction which only comes after you have been completely deconstructed

Reconstruction – the act or process of rebuilding, repairing, or restoring something.

I believe most of us have a very bad mindset/revelation about money.  Money is a tool.  You’re supposed to use it, it’s not supposed to use you.

I said before that in the midst of this darkness and hardship God has just been showing me over and over again, ABUNDANCE.  I’m seeing gold bars just falling out of the sky amongst other things and I’ll share more on this next week.  It is a lot that we have coming so I’ve asked Him what is all of this for?

He specifically said to me “This money is for the reestablishment and the rebuilding of My Church”

He didn’t say it was to build His church.  No, He said REbuild.  That is because He is deconstructing the whole church.  You’ve seen it.  The process already started from 2020.  Those who were pliable were allowed to come back.  Others He had to remove and He’s still working on them.  While some still have not learnt and you are about to see more public deconstruction. He’s not doing this to demolish but to remove what is unfruitful.

And, then He is going to take a group of people who are dead to themselves and He is going to Rebuild it with them.  Because they won’t be arguing with Him.  They are pliable.  They follow instructions.  They don’t have a reputation to maintain.  They don’t care if you reject them.  They are not in it for fame or fortune.  They don’t care if it’s popular.  They are not easily offended. Have you ever met an offended dead man? Me neither. When He says “go to Nineveh”  They are going!

They are not building based off their ideas or following what they saw someone else do.  No, the blueprint is coming directly from Him.  They know exactly what to do when the opposition comes…fall back and crowd surfing in God’s hands…

Deuteronomy 8:16

“He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you.”

Say what now?  The manna was a test????  Yes, the manna was a test.  Remember after the deconstruction comes the test before the reconstruction begins.  So, they left Egypt, got deconstructed in the wilderness, went through a period of being humbled and tested by the Lord before they could get reconstructed in the Promised Land.

Exodus 16:4

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Look, I’m going to rain down food from heaven for you. Each day the people can go out and pick up as much food as they need for that day. I will test them in this to see whether or not they will follow my instructions.”

I think He was very clear as to what they were supposed to do, right?  What did they do?

Exodus 16:17-19

“So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little. But when they measured it out, everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed.

Then Moses told them, “Do not keep any of it until morning.” But some of them didn’t listen and kept some of it until morning. But by then it was full of maggots and had a terrible smell. Moses was very angry with them.”

Now, why on earth would they choose to go out there and do what they want to do when God clearly said not to pick up more than what they needed for the day?  This is what is known as the poverty mentality.  Self reliance. In their mind they think that they are going to starve and suffer, as if God wasn’t caring for them this whole time, so they have to try to help themselves and fix this issue.  Otherwise known as…they were still moving.  Twitching.  They never fully trusted Him.

So once they saw that it did have maggots they knew that there was no point saving it for more than a day.  It appears they obeyed from that day moving forward.

He wasn’t testing them to just be mean, it says at the end of Deuteronomy 8:16…“to humble you and test you, so that in the end He might cause you to prosper.”

The entire time God’s plan was to prosper them.

Listen, the deconstruction is to prosper you.  Period. The End.  His intention is to prosper you.  This is why I keep seeing the abundance.  It’s coming but the Lord needs to know that you trust Him and will obey the instructions that He will give you that is associated with the blessings. You won’t be operating from a poverty mentality.

Deuteronomy 8:17

“He did all this so you would never say to yourself, ‘I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy.”

He deconstructed you so that you will never take any of the credit for  what He did.

How does the wealth come?

Deuteronomy 8:18

““And you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”

It is God who gives you to power.

When you study the word power, it is a supernatural strength.  This is not a man-made power.  It is supernatural abilities….same as Samson.  This is not a natural thing.

What is the power for?

To get

To gain, to accomplish, to do, to make, to act with effect, to produce, yield, to bear, to bestow

Yes, this word “to get” means to gain. It is not a one time thing.  This word means whatever you do increases and multiplies.  To acquire properties, to make money. You just begin to multiply in a manner you never thought possible because you are operating with a power that is supernatural.  Multiplication…gain.

wealth.

What does this word wealth mean?

able , armies , capability, elite army , excellence , excellent , forces , full , goods , great , might, mighty , nobly , power , retinue , riches , strength , substance , valiant , valiant* , valiantly , valor , very powerful , warriors , wealth , wealthy , worthy.

It’s not just money.  It’s goods, resources, armies, employees, in strength, in substance, in excellence.  You literally just become better and better, supernaturally.

From Deconstruction to Reconstruction

How long does this take?  That depends on you.  How many times did Jonah need to end up in the belly of the whale before he realized he never wanted to do that again? Some people, the minute the storm hit that boat would be screaming out to God “Ok, Ok, I’ll go!  I’ll go to Nineveh!!”  Others need to be inside the whale to finally get it.  Some, are so hard headed they seriously need to see the inside of 3 whale bellies before they realize they need to leave Egypt!

So, how many whale bellies would you like to see?  It’s up to you.  He’s got all the time in the world.  Fall back into the hands of Jesus.  Give up!  Stop moving.

The good news is that the reconstruction happens a lot quicker than the deconstruction.  Thank you Jesus!!! I’m telling you this from experience.  You know as I was writing this I asked the Lord if this was just my experience that the reconstruction goes faster and He said, this is how is SHOULD BE!

He led me to look at the process of the Israelites.  They were slaves in Egypt for 400 years, it took them awhile to leave Egypt.  We know the journey was only supposed to be 11 days in the wilderness but that turned into 40 years.  Due to hard headedness and disobedience.

But when they finally got it in the land and the reconstruction started, it took them 5-7 years to conquer the land (with limited hiccups along the way, the mess up at Ai) and 7 years to settle all the tribes in their land.  IT WENT FAST!  It was a fraction of the time.  And actually, God told them in the beginning that it would happen little by little (Exodus 23:30).  Because they needed to learn not only how to get the land, but how to maintain it.  You gotta learn how to keep it.  All they had to do was follow HIS instructions. Obey and Listen, Listen and Obey.

Once you get to the end of yourself, it doesn’t take long for you to start going up.

Remember He said that the wealth was to “reestablish and rebuild the church”.  It is interesting that as soon as the Israelites crossed over the first thing they needed to do was circumcise all the men who were born in the wilderness because no circumcision was done then.  This tells me that there are things that God has intended for His Ministries and Churches to do that we may have stepped away from and He would like to reestablish these things.

Before you start anything for the Lord ask Him, “Lord, is there anything You need me to reestablish that I may have stepped away from?  Is there something You need me to reestablish in this ministry that I am building for You?  Is there something I need to reestablish in this church?” <<< This is key.

I can tell you that the biggest thing you will begin to notice is how different you are.  When He told the Israelites not to collect more that one day’s worth of manna and they did it anyway He didn’t strike them dead instantly.  No, He overlooked it and went on. Not all of them disobeyed and the ones who were obedient didn’t seem to be upset at the ones who weren’t

But then there comes a time when you are in your Promised Land and you reflect on all the sacrifices you made to get to that place…you are going to have ZERO tolerance for nonsense!

Achan with his one mess up at Ai (Joshua 7) Have you considered how completely militant these Israelites had become?  Zero tolerance.  They were probably thinking “Are you crazy Achan? After what we went through in the wilderness.  Bruh, what were you thinking?” Stone him to death!  They are not interested in going backwards!  They’ve gone through too much. Lost too much to go back and relearn the same lesson.

You are not the same.  The things the enemy use to use as a trap won’t work anymore because your inside has changed.  Your desires have changed. The things you used to hold close to your heart has changed.  You are dead, so how is the same tricks going to work?  They don’t.  You will find you are going to have no tolerance for nonsense.  It will be easier for you to disconnect from anything that starts to look or feel like it may lead to a whale belly.  You’ve been there and done that.  Those days are over. You’ll see your friendship circles will start changing.

This is why the reconstruction goes faster.  You are not the same person.  Pliability.  Now God can work with you.

Blessings!

  1. So much comfort and hope not just in this message, but also in the comments. Feeling a specific prompt in the spirit to lift up everyone who left a comment. Thank you, MoP and readers. God bless you.

  2. This is most definitely an on-time word from God!! So thankful for this ministry! God has definitely been humbling and testing (deconstructing) me for such a time as this!! I have been experiencing multiplication and increase in every area of my life! I will not and cannot go back to the way things used to be!! Going up and not looking back! 🙌🏽 God bless!!

  3. Boy oh boy oh boy. We (my husband and I) are in a brutal deconstruction/death to self phase, and when I call it brutal I don’t mean to say it’s not God or not good, but it’s like being grated on with a carrot-grater. Sanded with scrap metal. Yikes. It’s happening to us individually and as a couple. All I can say is that if God weren’t holding us in place and steadying us… we would have fled this refining at lightning speed. The Lord has basically told us “If you don’t submit to this, I will use something harder”. He is so kind to always start with the gentlest tool that will work effectively on us. And to be candid, this is only necessary because of years and years of self-directed, selfish, hedonistic, pleasure-focused living. Bleh. That was NOT worth it- I wish we could go back and choose differently, but HALLELUJAH that God didn’t give up on us and leave us to our lusts and our fate. Praise His holy name.
This stage is most certainly “I die daily… we give up… kill every desire, Lord… take everything we have… only make us “vessels unto honor, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use, and prepared unto every good work”. Whew. Just when I think I’ve conquered a reaction or a desire… twitch, twitch. Just when we think we’ve cut the unclean desires at the root… twitch, twitch. When I would have SWORN I had conquered offense and unforgiveness and arrogance… twitch, twitch. Lol! And so we try again the next day, praying God cleanse us, God help us, God kill us.
Sometimes when things are so hard that Im crying and crying, and the Father and Jesus and H.S. come to comfort me, I find myself trying to comfort Them, saying “It’s okay, it’s okay… I’m okay…” and then that makes me laugh at the absurdity of the reversal but They do not seem displeased, and I think that’s right to do. Tie me to the altar, Lord, that I may not be found struggling against You. I love You so. In Jesus name, amen. 💜💜💜

  4. Hallelujah. God is speaking all over the Globe 🌎. Here in Suva Fiji 🇫🇯 we are hearing the same same message been share for few weeks now. On pulling/destroying strongholds in our lives. We are being prepared for the Finish. Just amazing when reading this message from you and to see that God is really meaning business with us His children. And so iam thankful to God for your Ministry for Accurately preparing the Saints in this Journey to the Finish. Praise the Lord.

  5. I have been struggling with what to do after I surrender my family and situations to God.Are we supposed to do nothing and wait for a phone call that the rent is paid? That the child is. healed? That the husband will no longer wound you? I am very confused about how to respond. Please clarify.

    1. If after surrendering something to the Lord you are still trying to dictate the outcome, that means you haven’t surrendered it. This is a process & the time associated with the process is different for each person. Take your time. Blessings.

  6. What a powerful word. Thank you God for reminding me that apart from You am nothing. The coach roach reminded me and my futile efforts to look for solutions. When am looking for solutions am looking at the situation with very skewed eyes, after all am on my “back “.Thank you Nicole for reminding me that the battle is and will always be the Lord’s.Be mightily blessed.

  7. Thank you so much. Rent and fees are due. I have been thinking of how to sort it out myself ….I am still twitching. Henceforth it’s Jesus your rent and fees are due.

  8. Thank you! This one actually put a whole bunch of things together for me. It’s a positive, freeing word for me. Jesus has all the cares I’ve been struggling with. 💕

Praise God for Sam’s comment and the people who got saved!

God is rebuilding His church. Exciting time!

  9. Thank you for this word,it so encouraged me.im going through the deconstruction, lost the house ,job, now struggling with the divorce thing but God have been good.im surviving through His abundant mercies.I pray that the Lord help me completely die cause as I read this I could see myself as that coackroach but God is faithful.
May the good Lord continue to use you mightly.Bless you

  10. My GOD!!!! PLIABLE!!! Thank YOU GOD!!! Ive gone through the deconstruction and NOW I AM IN THE RECONSTRUCTION!!! JESUS! I thank YOU!!! I have a testimony to share! Now is the time to share it! Hallelujah GOD!!!

  11. Wow, wow. This word is just a comfirmation for me. Lord kill anything that is twitching in my life.. I surrender all.

  12. This word has been my life for past two years wow wow this past two weeks the holy spirit has been allowing me to intercede to ask whatever we my husband and I are holding on to from Egypt to please show us and God has been faithful showing us in dreams and words I’ve been feeling something needs to go and your word is spot on I’ve even told my husband few weeks back I’ve felt he like Lot’s wife who keeps looking back and went into deep prayer actually faced some warfare but God has remained faithful and for past 4 years I’ve received scripture 2 king 12 to 17 to rebuild temple and at the time I thought it was because I needed to bless the church I was serving at but God removed me from there and only 3 years later I received revelation its for his true remnant to rebuild his church .just thank you for always being obedient to release timely words .The manna OMG I’ve explained this to people over and over God has given us enough each day while I was not working and I could still bless someone else in need who are a two income family but really stuck in Epgyt and in the end of it by just showing Gods love and mercy and grace in my life the 5 kids and mother received christ and that is all that matters through our trials people may see Jesus

  13. This is so good and no I’m not depressed or upset about this word it actually brings me joy. The time is 555 as I type this. Grace extended. I went through the most roughest season of my life this year. And I was so tired and ready to give up that the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “You can’t run from who you are, you will be like Jonah if you do.” Then the Lord told me to read Jonah. What I got from that chapter was pruning! We don’t like to be pruned but before God can launch us into the next it’s the last step before you go the next place. He has to uproot any unfruitfulness so you can thrive and flourish. So reading this gives me joy because I know that this is confirmation to what he gave me last week. I learned that God literally has my back and I can Smalley and say this as I don’t have much money in my bank accounts and as I am
Not sure how rent or bills will be paid but I just trust him cuz I know he loves me. Thanks for this message! God bless you
