Prophetic Word – The Center Pillar of the New Church

prophetic word the center pillar of the new church

This prophetic word is titled the Center Pillar of the New Church.  This prophetic word is connected to the 5782/2022 word where I mentioned the center pillar.

The Center Pillar is Love.  The Lord told me that He wants me to share this with you this week.

As a new Christian, I was always fascinated with the love message in the bible.  It’s all over the old testament – the 10 commandments are rooted in love.  In the new testament, Jesus says I’m replacing the 10 with only 2 which are still about love.

And yet, I generally only hear a message about love at weddings and on Valentines Day.  Why is that?  When I was learning to share the gospel one of the lines we used to say to people is there is actually 2 ways to get into heaven

  1.  Obey the 10 commandments, everyday. Or,
  2.  Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior.

Then I happened upon this scripture Romans 13:10 “…love fulfills the law”.

That is a HUGE statement “…love fulfills the law”.

That means you would’ve met the full requirement if you really understand love.  So, why aren’t we talking about it more?

Who is this word for?  Everyone.  However, even more so if you are planning on going into ministry or you are already a ministry or church leader.

I taught this to a group and I have it in audio file which is 1 hour and 23 minutes long.  You will need to listen to this first because what below is written below is not a transcript but bits and pieces that will make sense only after you’ve listen to the audio.

The definition of Love

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Whenever you want to know if  you or someone is loving all you have to do is read 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 and see if the actions line up with the definition.

Once you have been made perfect in love, you should then exhibit fruit of the love which can be found in

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Your goal as a Christian is to become Galatians 5:22-23. Once love has been made perfect in you then you will exhibit all of them.

There are different kinds of love.  These are from Greek word study on love.

  1.  Agape – which requires your will to accomplish.  You have to mentally decide to do this.  Make yourself do it.  It is a decision that is within your ability. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 is Agape love.  Most of us misunderstand this because some of us are waiting on a feeling or some kind of empowerment from the Holy Spirit which never comes because all you need to do is…just do it!
  2. Phileo – the brotherly love.  This is the love you feel for your best friend.  Your “ride or die” pal. You love them from the heart and will do anything for them.  You have affection for them in your heart.  This is a feeling.
  3. Storge – This is the familial love between parents and children. This again is distinctly different from the other two loves because you will love your children no matter what.  This is a special kind of love because it’s your blood so it’s natural.
  4. Eros – This is the sexual/sensual kind of love between a husband and wife.  It is interesting to note that there are no scriptures in the new testament that points to the Greek word eros, even the marriage scriptures.  More on this later.

Understanding the different types of love, helps you to understand why you will never “feel” like you want to love your enemies.  That’s never going to happen because this would be expecting to experience Phileo kind of love with someone you just will never have that for. It is Agape love that is required for your enemies, or anyone that you find difficult to love.  Because this is a love that is done by effort. Your will has to be involved, not your feelings. You have to make a decision to do it.  Enemies require agape love, not phileo love.

I thought it was also interesting that the marriage scriptures in the new testament never mention Eros love but rather Agape as well.  And if you think about it, most marriages go through stages.  While you may feel Eros in the beginning it is the Phileo and Agape love that will keep your marriage together in the long run.  Why Phileo?  Well, some of you are married to your best friend.  So regardless of the marriage you still have a level of love and respect for spouse and would probably be friends with them even if you weren’t married to each other.  Because you like them.  You can probably go back in your mind through different stages in your marriage and identify the different kinds of love that was in operation during each season. But don’t ask your spouse or you might get this answer…”It’s been agape from the very beginning, I’ve been suffering for the sake of the cross”  LOL

Also want to point out that Jesus gave us a beautiful example of Agape love throughout the scriptures.  Even at the last supper when He was telling the disciples that one of them would betray Him.  He treated Judas like the others because they couldn’t even tell who it was that Jesus was talking about.  That means He was operating in Agape love towards Judas the whole time. There was obviously no “side eye” given at the table.  No attitudes that showed His displeasure.  Think about it!  If you read the account of the last supper in all the gospels it is only in the gospel of John that it appears Jesus indicated to John who would betray Him.  What is interesting is that Peter leaned over to John and asked John to ask Jesus who would betray Him.  To me, that says they were all aware that Jesus told secrets to John that He never told to the others.

What’s so special about John?  Remember, John, being the disciple that Jesus loved is the disciple of LOVE.  He had a greater understanding of love than the others.  I believe that is why Jesus had such a soft spot for him. Because John “got it”  I believe he figured out that if he just focused in on love, he would tap into something that the others didn’t.  My goodness!  Just read Chapter 1 in all the gospels and you immediately realize that he’s got a deeper level of understanding/revelation than the others did.

Each gospel is marked with the personality and life of the writer and is written through their eyes.  So, Matthew who was the tax collector and most hated by people at that time emphasizes forgiveness more than the others. Luke, who was the prayer warrior, talks about prayer more in his gospel than the others.  John is the disciple of love, therefore, his was written with an emphasis on love.  He even goes further to continue writing about it in the epistles 1 John, 2 John & 3 John.  He’s all about love.  I believe that is why Jesus could tell him that it was Judas because John handled everyone with AGAPE.  While on the other hand perhaps if Jesus told Peter or the others that Judas was the betrayer they would probably stab him with the butter knife before he left the table!  Seriously though, they were human just like us.  So what would you have done if Jesus leaned over and told you?

I also find it interesting that all the disciples suffered brutal deaths.  Except John! Why?  Well, it is said (not in the scriptures) that they tried to boil him in oil and he survived!  Can you imagine that?  Now let me ask you a question, when someone really wants to kill you do you think they only try one time?  No.  I think they must have tried over and over again and couldn’t kill him.  They were probably terrified of John.  Especially after the boiling incident!  Can you imagine standing there and watching his skin regenerate before you eyes?  LOL  RUN!!!!  So the only thing they could do to stop him from sharing the gospel was to exile him to an island – Patmos.  This is where he wrote revelation and also where he died at an old age.  They killed the other 11 but left John alone?  Obviously, John had some other power/ability that the others didn’t.

Love gives you the ability to walk in the supernatural.  It’s all over the gospels.  Do you think Jesus was walking in the supernatural because of faith or because of love?  Selah.

Now you may think John was always like this but he was not!  If you look at when Jesus called him as a disciple in Mark 3:17, you will see that he was referred to as one of the sons of thunder.  What does that mean? Prior to his radical transformation as the disciple of love, he would as you would say in today’s slang word “light you up!” if you messed with him.  Luke 9:51-56 NKJV, you’ll see that when he was faced with opposition his way of handling things would be to call down fire like Elijah to burn up the people, LOL  He really did like “lighting up people!”  At least he kept it biblical!!!  But obviously the guy had a short fuse.  So if you are thinking that you are way too hot tempered to ever see yourself transformed, John is a perfect example of someone who was transformed by love.

John 13:34-35 “I’m giving you a new commandment: Love each other in the same way that I have loved you. Everyone will know that you are my disciples because of your love for each other.”

Love, is a command.  It is not optional

Most of the things we are asking God for would be given if we just walked in love, more.

When Solomon asked for wisdom, he didn’t realize that it would release wealth and riches in his life.  I promise you this, if you ask God to give you love, you will see many things that come along with it.  It’s not just love, there’s a whole benefits package that comes along with it.

Agape requires a lot more effort than Phileo.  Phileo is generally reciprocal and I think that is why you can reserve love longer.  However, when you are the only person doing the giving (agape), then you can run low on love very easily.  Your “love tank” will run dry very quickly.

How do you fill up the love tank?  Spend time with the Lord.  Ask Him to fill you with His love and wait until you feel completely refreshed and restored before you leave His presence.  Some of you may need to do this everyday depending on what is happening in your life.  You can tell when the “love tank” is running low because you will have a very short fuse with people.

How it works?

Love is a verb, action word, so you need to DO something.  Whenever you are faced with a difficult and challenging situation you must respond with one or more of the action words.

When you see someone else succeeding and you feel envious of what they have,  even if no one else knows it, this should be a sign to you that you are low on love.  You need to get a revelation of how much God loves you in order for you not to be envious of jealous of others.  You counteract these negative emotions by saying something kind, or showing honor to that person.  Your flesh is not going to want to do that because you are already envious and feel that the person has something you want but when you are kind and give to that person you are actively cutting off that spirit and tapping into love.  It requires effort on your part but this is how you shut down envy and jealousy.

When David had the chance to kill Saul, twice, he chose not to!  He walked in love by being patient (he was already anointed king and knew it was only a matter of time before that would happen) and he was kind.  Even though Saul made several attempts to kill him.

I had someone ask if this means that you are supposed to look the other way when someone is walking in sin and say nothing.  My response to that is no, because that would not be loving.  What is the action that must be taken?  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. You cannot endorse someone’s sin and call it love, that would be hypocrisy and not love.  You must speak the truth in a loving way, with kindness and not in an angry manner.  These are choices that you have to make.

This is not easy, and I’m not telling you that it is, what I am saying is that if you start to practice how to respond to what you are facing in a loving manner you will see some significant changes in your life.  You can’t counteract the works of darkness with more darkness, this doesn’t work.  Darkness can only be overcome with LIGHT.  Love is Light.  Remember, focus on the light.

LOVE is the greatest weapon against darkness, but it requires you making a decision to respond with something from the list of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. These are your options. Speak light and be the light in the darkness.

I’ve just scratched the surface here because there is so much more I can say about this topic.  My hope is that you will be inspired to start looking into this with Jesus.  Ask Him to teach you about love.  And then, ask your pastor to start teaching about love in church.  We all need this.  It shouldn’t be saved for weddings and Valentine’s Day only.  We need to study this and then we need to do it.

Prayer:  Lord Jesus, teach me about love.  Fill me with Your love.  After You’ve filled me show me how I can pour it out on others, in Jesus name, Amen.

Watch things change around you as you begin to handle your business with love.

Blessings

P.S. As I published this, I look on my Instagram and see that Dr. Charles Stanley just posted an article on the sons of thunder.  LOL too funny. #confirmation

  1. Hi Nicole,
Thank you so much for releasing this message, it has changed how I look at my life and others. I am actively choosing love from here onwards and when I am short tempered and stressed it will be my indication that my cup is running dry and I need a fill from Abba Father. I now realise that I always want my partners and others to love me but we need the love of God daily in order to give love, notice I said give love, it’s in the giving that the supernatural comes. It’s that well we drink from and when we full we are able to live wholelly.

This was the best word I received in my entire Christian walk. Glory to God!!!
MOP I love and appreciate you all so much, thank you! Pray for me 🙂

  2. Thanks a lot, Nicole for this article, I have to confess that I have failed the Lord. From the time I started to hear from the Lord through the lesson we had with you in February2020, This is the article he asked me to work on in August 2020, and that was the time I was facing a lot of warfare being wounded here and there I thought all was well in the internet, I didn’t know. It has not been easy all along. Whenever I try to write it, I am bombarded with lots of distraction my head is heavy I can’t even think properly so it has not been easy. The Lord told me that I should take love and all the fruit of the spirit in in Galatians 5:22 and to do the needed research apply them in my life and teach them to others. But at that moment I did not have even a platform that I could do that. To make it worse the people that we were with did not appreciate any teaching outside their doctrines until the Lord showed me in a dream where I am right now. I’m very much grateful for the enlightenment that you have put in it especially in connection to Faith this is really the most important aspect that we need to cultivate in our Walk of Life as Christians, to me it carries more weight than faith. I can see now why the Lord wanted me to work on it and do a thorough research then apply them all,the fruit of the spirit, then teach others the same. Thanks a lot once more I am very much enlightened ,I am now more equipped, may you abound in more. shalom.

    1. Hi Matthew, I believe all of us have failed in this area. It takes awhile to really understand it but at the end of the day it all comes down to just responding to others with the actions God has given us in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. And then we see it really is not hard to understand it’s just a matter of doing it. Blessings

  3. Dear MOP,
I love this teaching, You just answered my prayer and thought recently of a love song or more love of God in my life. Recently, I have been listening to songs about loving Jesus and I wanted more, for it has been helping me with overcoming problems in my life. This is amazing, for I did not know the name of the type of love I been pouring out on my families and friends. one moment there is disagreement and another I am praying and asking for their forgiveness and mine and asking for Gods love.
Interestingly when you said we don’t ask for love of God but more for faith, actually I asked for it in 2017 when a situation led me to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. I fasted for 40days and that was my first time fasting ever, and he filled me with his love. It was amazing and I have hungered for me. I asked for love because I did not know how to love and I never got loved by my parents and the men are dated loved me because of beauty and I couldn’t love that way. I wanted another proper love and Jesus gave me his love and I have never been the same.
When I received the volcanic, fiery love of God, I was able to forgive, be patient and hunger more for his love. I really really need it, as my husband is an unbeliever and he is giving me hell as per se, everyday. Now I know the type of love to love my husband with everyday. It is indeed the love of God that is seeing me through.
I am grateful for you recording and sharing this teaching, I needed it , as I just had a fight with my husband day before and this came up for me to read and listen to. I will continue to walk in his love, I did not know the name of the love, now I know and understand why I have been so tolerant and forgiving. Thank you and God bless, may he continue to show you more. I would like to encounter him more……

    1. What a powerful testimony you have! Thank you so much for sharing. This is only the beginning for you as you continue to ask Him and be filled by Him daily you are going to realize how much more you can do that you couldn’t before. Blessings
