This is Part 2 of the Prophetic Word for 2020 and the year 5780.  If you missed part 1, you can read it here.

The Year when it all ends

20 is the number of redemption.  This is when we are relieved from our bondages that have been in place for a long time.  There just comes a point when God says “enough is enough!”

The Greek word for redemption is ἀπολύτρωσις apolýtrōsis, ap-ol-oo’-tro-sis; from a compound of G575 and G3083; (the act) ransom in full, i.e. (figuratively) riddance, or (specially) Christian salvation:—deliverance, redemption.

God will be separating many from the things which have kept them captive.  Deliverance!  Salvation!

Jacob had 20 years of hard labor with his father in law, Laban, before he was released to go off on his own

Genesis 31:38-41 New International Version (NIV) “I have been with you for twenty years now. Your sheep and goats have not miscarried, nor have I eaten rams from your flocks.  I did not bring you animals torn by wild beasts; I bore the loss myself. And you demanded payment from me for whatever was stolen by day or night.  This was my situation: The heat consumed me in the daytime and the cold at night, and sleep fled from my eyes.  It was like this for the twenty years I was in your household. I worked for you fourteen years for your two daughters and six years for your flocks, and you changed my wages ten times.”

It took 20 years for the Israelites to be delivered from the oppression of Jabin.

Judges 4:1-3, 6-7 New Living Translation (NLT) “After Ehud’s death, the Israelites again did evil in the Lord’s sight. So the Lord turned them over to King Jabin of Hazor, a Canaanite king. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-haggoyim. Sisera, who had 900 iron chariots, ruthlessly oppressed the Israelites for twenty years. Then the people of Israel cried out to the Lord for help….“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor. And I will call out Sisera, commander of Jabin’s army, along with his chariots and warriors, to the Kishon River. There I will give you victory over him.”

When the Israelites were ready to cross over into the promise land after spending so many years wondering around in the the wilderness the Lord said the ones 20 years and older were not allowed in (Numbers 14:29).  So there is a cutting off and a finality at 20.

What does this mean to you?  A lot of the things you’ve been struggling with will come to an abrupt end.  For some this will be a time for celebration but for others a time of mourning. Why is that?  Well, there are things that we can sometimes hold on to that will keep us from advancing so some of the things that God will remove you may not want them gone.  But know that it is for your good.

20/20 is perfect vision

In the year 2020 the fullness of the Ayin decade will take place.  You will be able to clearly see what you need to see so that you can make the decisions that need to be made.  In God removing what He will be removing from you life you will also have the ability to move with clarity.

The Year of Fire

There is good fire and there is bad fire.  God can use fire to destroy and also use it for our good. One of the symbols of the Holy Spirit is fire.

Acts 2:3-4 New King James Version (NKJV) “Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

The problem is the church has moved so far away from this and God is calling us back to it.  We have to go back to this because of what the fire does.  We NEED the fire of God.  When the fire comes it cleanses us from our unrighteousness and our impurities.  It brings us to Holiness and Purity.  Now, these are 2 words you hardly hear anymore.

Here’s what the bible says about the church leadership then ask yourself this question “is this a picture of my pastor, my bishop, my priest, my apostle, my mentor?”

1 Timothy 3:1-7  (NKJV) “This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.”

You may say “but what happened to grace?”  That era has ended because we’ve abused and misused grace. We’ve allowed people to lead us based on giftings and anointings instead of what God said our leaders should be.  These same people turn around and abuse the sheep because we didn’t keep the standard of God’s word.  So, God is calling us back to what the word says.

1 Timothy 3:1-7 doesn’t say anything about the gifts or the anointings.  It talks about character.  How do you built character? with Fire  We’re promoting people based on gifts and anointings when the truth is, they were not ready to lead anyone.  We throw money at them and they become puffed up and prideful then because they have no character the minute the fire comes they fall.

I know this is hard to read but God is purifying His church.  You are going to see many people be removed

When the fire of God comes it brings…

Holiness and Purity

Malachi 3:2-3 (NKJV)  “But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire And like

launderers’ soap.  He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify the sons of Levi, And purge them as gold and silver, That they may offer to the Lord An offering in righteousness.”

It destroys our enemies and idolatry from within us

Deuteronomy 4:23-24  (NLT) “So be careful not to break the covenant the Lord your God has made with you. Do not make idols of any shape or form, for the Lord your God has forbidden this. The Lord your God is a devouring fire; he is a jealous God.”

Deuteronomy 9:3  (NLT) “But recognize today that the Lord your God is the one who will cross over ahead of you like a devouring fire to destroy them. He will subdue them so that you will quickly conquer them and drive them out, just as the Lord has promised.”

Also read: Psalm 21:8-9, Hebrews 10:26-27

It tests our works and what we are building for the Lord

1 Corinthians 3:8-15 “Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is.  If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”

It brings direction

Exodus 13:21  (NLT) “The Lord went ahead of them. He guided them during the day with a pillar of cloud, and he provided light at night with a pillar of fire. This allowed them to travel by day or by night.”

When the fire from the enemy comes we are safe and we have no need to fear because whatever was was unrighteous within us has been burnt up so that enemy doesn’t have a foothold.

Isaiah 43:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV) “But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

It Protects

Zechariah 2:4-5 (NKJV) “who said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying: ‘Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it. For I,’ says the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire all around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”

It confirms God is with you

Luke 24:32  (NKJV)  “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?”

In the old testament the priests would be the offering on the altar and the Lord would send down fire from heaven to consume it.  His fire came down as a sign of approval in accepting the offering.  Fire also came down to destroy the enemies of God.

In the new testament we see that God says we ourselves must become the offering on the altar.  So that His fire can purify us removing the dross and everything within us that is not like Him.

Romans 12:1-2  (NKJV) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

This is necessary so that when the enemy comes we have absolutely nothing in common with him (John 14:30).

Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego were not burnt because they were already purified so they could stand in that fire (Daniel 3).  Now I’m not telling you to go fire walking or to stand in literal flames even though the 3  were in literal fire turned up 7 times hotter.  7 is the number of perfection.  The fire that God has us in is a spiritual one.  It has already begun. When we allow the Lord to continue purifying us whatever comes at us will have no effect.  We will be like those 3 Hebrew boys.  We will be like the burning bush completely engulfed with flames but not burning up (Exodus 3:2).  All fear will be gone.  Don’t run from it.  Stand in it and let God finish what He’s doing in you.

I’m sure many of you have already begun to feel the “heat” but the truth is the majority of that is actually from the Lord and not the enemy.  Because something within us needs to die to be purified so that in this next season we can stand up to what is coming.  We are having a hard time as a church reaching the next generation because we look too much like the world.  Most of what is being called church growth is just people running from one church to the next.

We need to be set apart and look different.

The “New” -not so new- Prophetic movement

In the last decade there was such a rise in the Seer prophets because it was the Ayin decade and Ayin means Sight.  This being the decade of the mouth the prophetic movement will now be from the mouth.  The Rhema word of God being declared with power.  Like, Elijah.

You are about to see the modern day Elijahs and Moses

These are the 2 prophets in the bible the spoke and there was instant manifestation.  They also had their own experiences with fire.

2 Kings 1:10 (NLT) “But Elijah replied to the captain, “If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heaven and destroy you and your fifty men!” Then fire fell from heaven and killed them all.”

Numbers 11:1-2 (NLT) “Soon the people began to complain about their hardship, and the Lord heard everything they said. Then the Lord’s anger blazed against them, and he sent a fire to rage among them, and he destroyed some of the people in the outskirts of the camp.  Then the people screamed to Moses for help, and when he prayed to the Lord, the fire stopped.”

In Luke 9:54 we see the apostle James and John asking Jesus if they should call down fire from heaven like Elijah did.  What is interesting is we never see them calling down fire but from this statement we knew they could do it.  They probably did it and it just was never recorded.

1 Kings 17:1 Elijah declared it wouldn’t rain and it didn’t for 3 1/2 years then again in 1 Kings 18 he said it would start raining again and it did.

With such a movement coming this is why we need to be purified by the fire of God so that we are not declaring things that are soulish.  Our mouths need to line up with what God is saying.

You can’t have Elijahs without having a showdown with false prophets.  You can’t have Moses without having a showdown with sorcerers and magicians.

The showdown is coming.

Showdown n. An event, especially a confrontation that forces an issue to a conclusion.  An action that brings matters to a head or acts as a conclusion or point of decision

Will you know the difference between what is real and what is false?  It’s not the size of the church or how many followers they have.  It’s not that they can prophesy what’s in your pocket, false prophets can do that too.  It’s not the signs, wonders and miracles, the sorcerers could do that too.  It’s not the financial success, the world has that too.

How will you know the difference?  Read: Matthew 7:15-20, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, 1 John 4:1-21, Galatians 5:22, John 10:1-16, John 10:27
