The Power of Agreement in Prayer

Power of Agreement in Prayer

Power of Agreement in PrayerWe know that there is power in prayer; But there is even more power when you can come in agreement with another Christian on your prayer request.

Matthew 18:19-20 (NKJV) “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

The Greek word for agree is Sumphoneo, Strong’s Number: 4856.  Which is where the word Symphony comes from.

The root of this word is Sumphonos Strong’s Number: 4859

Definition:

1. harmonious, accordant, agreeing
2. thing agreed upon, compact

and the word Phone Strong’s Number: 5456

Definition:

1. a sound, a tone

    • of inanimate things, as musical instruments

2. a voice

    • of the sound of uttered words

3. speech

    • of a language, tongue

So here is the formula for the prayer of agreement:

  1.  2 People
  2.  Agree
  3.   You must say it aloud. (Decade of the Mouth)
  4.   Ask (according to His will)
  5.  It’s done!

Now is not the time for “flaky” Christian friends you need to know 100% they are in agreement with you or this does not work.  Find a friend, your husband, your children…someone who is saved.  They must be a born again believer in Christ.  Then watch God move.  If you are not a Christian, and you want to find out more about this, you can read this and then contact us and we would be happy to agree with you in prayer.

Here is a video from Brian Guerin at BridalGlory.com that beautifully explains it.  This is a Now word so you need to get your other person and get going with this.

I hope this helps to encourage you that there is power of agreement in prayer.  Now get your prayer list going, find another Christian and let’s do this!

Blessings.

  1. I have always agreed with exactly what God’s word said. I certainty enjoyed Brain when he said that this does not work for unbelievers but for believers. remember we have to open our mouth to repent and open our mouth to confess. Thank you so much because it blessed me.

  2. Sure now it is clear, come together in Jesus name, agree, then ask the father and it is done. that’s wonderful I’ve really learnt a lot, much blessings . shalom
