Prophetic Word for December – Receiving Your Miracle – Part 4
This is the 4th, and final, prophetic word for the month of December. If you missed the first three here they are:
Part 1 – What do these numbers mean?
Part 2 – Beware of the despondency of December
Part 3 – Daughters of Zelophehad: Open Your Mouth
This prophetic word is titled – Receiving your miracle. This word is not for everyone but my prayer for you is that with some serious introspection you will be able to identify if it is for you and actually follow the steps to getting yourself positioned to receive your miracle.
We are in the season of miracles. Hanukkah is a celebration of the miraculous.
What is Hanukkah?
This month is best known for the holiday of Hanukkah or Chanukah, which begins on the 25th of Kislev/December 23rd and runs over 8 days and ending on December 30th. The message of Chanukah is the eternal power of light over darkness—good over evil. Aside from commemorating the miraculous victory of the small and militarily weak Jewish army over the mighty Syrian-Greek empire, on Chanukah we celebrate the miracle of the oil. When the Jews sought to light the Temple menorah after the war, they found only one small jug of oil that had not been defiled by the pagan invaders. Miraculously, the one-day supply burned for eight days until new pure oil could be obtained.
As a result Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights. It is also the Feast of Dedication.
Here’s what happened with Jesus during the Feast of Dedication:
John 10:22-30, 37-42
22 Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, 23 and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade. 24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.”
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.27My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”
37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.” 39 Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
40 Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed, 41 and many people came to him. They said, “Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.” 42 And in that place many believed in Jesus.
Let me break this down for you:
- You are in a season of Miracles, the season of Hanukkah is a celebration of miracles.
- Even during the season of miracles JESUS Himself was not believed.
- Jesus said My sheep know My voice and they follow Me… because they believe. So, if you can’t believe Him when He tells you something you are basically acting like an unbeliever. You cut yourself off from the blessings of God when you operate in doubt and unbelief (Psalm 95:6-11). Many Israelites died in the wilderness because they didn’t BELIEVE.
- When Jesus shows up to a location to deliver a miracle, and you don’t receive the miracle. He leaves and goes to another location that will receive the miracle and this is where He will stay… in that place!
When UPS or FedEx shows up to your door with a package, they knock on the door, you open the door and you receive it. If you don’t answer the door after they’ve knocked twice, they leave….with your package. If the package is not that valuable they leave it. How valuable is your package? When Jesus shows up, if you don’t receive your miracle, He leaves and goes to a place where He is welcomed. Because in that place is where He will deliver the miracle.
Maybe no one has ever told you this before so I am telling you now.
Read it again…
40 “Then Jesus went back across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing in the early days. There he stayed, 41 and many people came to him. They said, “Though John never performed a sign, all that John said about this man was true.” 42 And in that place many believed in Jesus.”
They didn’t even need a sign to believe, they just believed.
I’m going to give you a personal testimony.
December 2017, the season of miracles, I was invited to a party and God made it clear to me that I must attend. Since it was the season for miracles, I was expecting one! I knew it was going to happen in that place. When I got there I was so excited waiting for it to happen. They asked me to open up in prayer as I closed my eyes and started praying I see this mantle fly down out of heaven and wrap around my shoulders. Back then, I seriously had not studied on mantles so I didn’t quite know what to make of it. I knew what it was but I certainly did not know what it was for. So within 10 minutes of arriving I received what I was sent there to receive. Now you may be thinking “God sent you to someone else’s house to get a mantle?” Yep! (My sheep hear My voice and they follow Me). If He sent me to go stand up under a bridge 3 hours away, that is exactly where I would be. No exegesis necessary just pure faith. Sometimes if you get too “heady” and try to find logic in what the Lord is telling you’ll miss your blessing. As long as you know you heard from God, you need to move on it. ***side note, we have one class this year on How to Hear from God, you can sign up below.
So then the party continues and I say to them all, God is going to perform miracle here tonight. I was so sure about it. I was so excited about it.
Another lady there said she believed that as well and that she was also feeling this excitement in her spirit for it. I was ready to turn the party into a prayer meeting because I could feel the miracle in the room and I knew we needed to press in to get it. I could feel it but it was like they all just needed to reach up and touch it. It was above their heads and they just needed to stretch just a little bit to get it. Jesus was in the room to deliver miracles! Then the host asked me to pray again and I realized that I needed to get their faith level to a place where they could actually touch it. Because even though I was telling them there were miracles in the room they just were not receiving it.
As I began to pray for them and they are saying their “Amens” , “Hallelujahs” and “Yes, Jesus” in all the right places and I feel their faith start to increase. And I feel them making the climb in their spirit towards that miracle. It was like their spirit began to crescendo to the miracle. We got to a place where I felt they just needed to take ONE MORE STEP, it was right there. Then I said this one scripture “the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is living in you”. After that, it felt like someone popped their faith balloon and they were all deflated. I’m discerning this in the spirit and so I’m thinking to myself “what in the world just happened?” We were doing so well, I said that one scripture and everything took a downward turn. I realized they don’t believe that scripture. Hence their faith couldn’t touch the miracle. Another intercessor realizing what was happening, when I ended my prayer, picked up the prayer and she tried to get them back to that place but they wouldn’t go there. And that was that. I went to the party, received my miracle and the rest of them went home with nothing. My heart was so broken for them because they had very deep needs. I was stunned because I couldn’t believe that Jesus could show up with miracles to deliver and people not receive it. Especially when they said they want it.
I went home and I cried about this. I was so broken over this. I asked the Lord, what happened? Was there something I should’ve done to make them receive it? He told me to read Matthew 13:58
54 He returned to Nazareth, his hometown. When he taught there in the synagogue, everyone was amazed and said, “Where does he get this wisdom and the power to do miracles?” 55 Then they scoffed, “He’s just the carpenter’s son, and we know Mary, his mother, and his brothers—James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. 56 All his sisters live right here among us. Where did he learn all these things?” 57 And they were deeply offended and refused to believe in him.
Then Jesus told them, “A prophet is honored everywhere except in his own hometown and among his own family.” 58 And so he did only a few miracles there because of their unbelief.
Since that day, this scripture has become very weighty for me. It can make or break you. There are some miracles you will never get them until you believe. I can only tell you we are in the season of miracles and you can read the words in the bible but nothing happens until YOU actually believe it.
Jesus can’t make you believe.
Not even Jesus can give you a miracle if you don’t believe. Notice that at the party, while we were all in the same place physically we were not all in that place spiritually. That’s why you can have a church with 2,000 people 3 people receive a miracle and the rest don’t. It’s not only a physical location but a spiritual one as well.
I want you to notice something from this scripture as well…they saw that He had wisdom that was not His own, they saw that He could perform miracles and they still talked themselves out of receiving it. They refused, an act of the will, to receive it.
You can come on this website, read and acknowledge that it is the revelation and wisdom of God, see the answered prayers and testimonies of others and still refuse to accept if for yourself.
I can’t help you with that.
Jesus can’t help you with that.
YOU need to make a decision if you want it or not.
The bible is the inerrant, infallible word of God. You have to receive all the scriptures as truth, not just the ones you like. ALL of it. If you don’t, right
before you are to receive your blessing the devil is going to give you a scripture that will take your legs out from under you. Deflate you like a balloon using God’s word that you don’t believe. You have to believe the word of God whether you like it or it.
The process of receiving your miracle looks like this…
- It starts as an act of the will. You have free will and you get to decide what you are going to believe and not believe. God is never going to violate your free will. If you decide to believe your denomination that says miracles don’t happen today over what God’s word, guess what? You probably won’t see a miracle. Why? Cause you decided to believe your denomination. It is your choice.
- If the Lord says to you that He is going to do something for you, believe Him (John 20:29b)
- Expect it to happen. Expectation is key. Not just with your mouth by saying you believe but deep down in your heart. (Romans 10:10). It is actually with your heart that you believe
- Don’t think that you are fooling God by speaking one thing while your heart is saying another. Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.
Isaiah 29:13 New Living Translation (NLT)
13 And so the Lord says,
“These people say they are mine.
They honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
And their worship of me
is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.
As many “Amens”, “Hallelujahs” and “Yes, Jesus” that was said that night their hearts were not right. They took offense to the word of God. They had a problem believing the word of God. They want the miracle but they don’t believe the word of Miracle Giver. So how would that ever work? The Holy Spirit is going to land upon those who are genuine and come from a pure heart. Like attracts like. He’s not going to land on fake. Never landing on the lip service Christianity. Gentle as a dove. He’s never going to force you into anything you have decided with your own free will you don’t want.
During this season of miracles, when you hear the knock, answer the door, accept the package, open it up and try it on!
How to you move into that place?
Your environment is very important – physical and spiritual. In the physical, when you are standing in faith for your miracle it is not wise to share these dreams and desires with people who don’t have the level of faith to speak into your life and encourage you. If what you have surrounded yourself with is negativity it is likely to drain whatever little faith you do have. Hang around people who are positive and speak positivity into your life. The scriptures said Jesus removed Himself physically from the place that had no faith and He stayed in the place where they believe.
Do you want Jesus to stay where you are? The Spirit is drawn to those who look like Him. Like attracts like.
You should do the same. Surround yourself with people of faith who speak faith.
From a spiritual standpoint, it is positioning your heart and your mind in a place of faith. Therefore when thoughts of unbelief and doubt come you need to cast them down immediately. 2 Corinthians 10:5 tells us to take every thought captive that goes against what God has said and revealed. Practically that would look like this…. if you are believing for your healing the minute the thought enters your mind that perhaps it won’t happen you need to open your mouth and say this “He was wounded for my transgressions, He was bruised for my iniquities; The chastisement for my peace was upon Him, And by His stripes I am healed.” That’s Isaiah 53:5.
You need to have a list of scriptures memorized that addresses what you are believing for and as soon as the thoughts come that are in opposition to your belief, you hold them captive by opening your mouth and saying what the bible says. You will notice those thoughts will stop completely after awhile. This is you shifting your mind from the place of unbelief into that place where faith exists and where Jesus will stay.
Taking these practical steps will ensure that you are positioned physically and spiritually to receive a miracle.
Here’s a prayer for you (pray it aloud):
Father, change my heart so that I can receive the miracles that you have for me in this season. With my will I declare that I will receive the impossible, I will believe for the impossible that you are doing in this season. I will believe your Word. I bind the spirit of unbelief and doubt and loose faith in my inner man. Heal me from the emotional bondage of believing that I am unworthy to receive Your best. Holy Spirit from this day forward convict me when I am speaking words of doubt. I cancel every unfruitful word that I have spoken against my destiny. I cancel every unfruitful word that was spoken over me and my destiny. In the spiritual realm, I step into the new that you have for me. Expose my environment to me. Open my eyes so that I can see who is around me. Show me where I need to move physically and spiritually so I can step into that place. The place where miracles dwell. The place where Jesus will stay. Mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally I choose this day to move into that place, in Jesus name, Amen.
I pray this blesses you and that it at least gave you a clearer understanding of how to receive your miracle.
Merry Christmas to you and your families.
If you haven’t already done so, you can sign up for our fast which begins January 6th below.
