Here are some bible verses for depression but before we get into that let’s talk about the fact that Social Media – Facebook. Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest can cause depression.
You see many people compare themselves to others. They look at the photos of “happy people” taking vacations, getting engaged, getting married, having children and appearing successful and they start to think “my life doesn’t look like this, what is wrong with me?” and as a result they fall into depression.
The first thing to do is to stop comparing yourself to others and focus on who you are in Christ Jesus. Focus on your identity in Christ. If you have no idea how to get an identity in Christ, here’s how you get a relationship with Jesus Christ.
If you are a Christian and you know all of this already then you need to start spending more time reading the bible, having daily prayer and meditating on verses for depression. Meditating on God’s word will certainly help you out of this slump.
God told Joshua this book of the law let it not depart from you, day and night and you will have success! Your successful defeat of depression depends on how much of God’s word you consume daily, meditating on it and praying!
Also, since we know that social media brings many people into a state of depression we should spend less time doing it. Start paying attention to how much time you are spending on the internet and on social media and cut back on that. Put that time into listening to God’s word, praying and meditating on the scriptures.
