Hi Rachel, these are great questions. Your next step in your process now is to ask God to give you the gift of interpretation and when this happens you will find yourself going back and forth from tongues to English. You would be praying in tongues and the same thing in English so in essence the have the interpretation. Until then, it is all about respecting the other person so if your husband or the person you are praying with is OK with you speaking in tongues then you can do it. If you don’t know them well you need to ask if they are you ok with you doing it before you start. Tongues without interpretation is really for private prayer but many churches allow it anyway because everyone around is ok with it. It certainly will give you wisdom and breakthrough in praying for healing. Hope this helps. Blessings
