I agree with you. And no one should walk around being afraid that they are going to lose their salvation because they committed a sin when they are truly saved. However, I do believe that along the way we are given a choice and we have to choose Him. One such scripture that made me realize it is possible to lose your salvation is Matthew 6:14-15. Upon reading that I realized that you can lose your salvation if you are not willing to forgive others and you hold unforgiveness in your heart. It’s not like we commit one sin and we lose our salvation, no, it is when we make a concerted effort in our heart to depart from what He is saying. And still there are many Christians who REFUSE to forgive someone that has hurt them. That was the scripture that made me realize that choosing Christ is not a one time deal. We have to choose Him in the difficult moments too. In the end times when the mark of the beast comes about that too will have to do with choice. We get to choose Him and the choice happens more than once in our lifetime. When we are faced with martyrdom, what choices will we make? It’s not like you’re going to stub your toe, trip and fall and lose your salvation, it’s that we CHOOSE to lose it. When there is a fork in the road, which one will you take? Scripture is clear that it is those who endure till the end who will be saved. Blessings

Hi Anne, I would say you got it 100%. Even as Christians we can have the outward show (going to church, praying, etc.) but after years there is no fruit on our lives which gives us away as not really being connected to the vine. I don’t believe Jesus would put a requirement on a non believer to bear fruit, do you? He said apart from Me you can do nothing. Well, an unbeliever is already separated from Him therefore He is not expecting any fruit from them. It is for us as Christians to realize that the Lord, even though He loves us, STILL requires fruit and as I said in the post, it can be external fruit but it can also be a fruit of the Spirit which is CHARACTER. We MUST bear fruit. Blessings

Hello YK, it appears you have done what you needed to do. Now it is up to her. This is in essence free will and you cannot force someone to do something they don’t want to do. Pray for her and leave it at that. When her kids get a little older you can talk to her children yourself and encourage them in the same. Blessings

Yes, something in you needs to die but every time God kills it you keep going back to it that’s why you keep going back to get the shooter to kill it again. It’s time to be done with that. Remember, behaviors, habits, mindset, could also be character issues. Ask Him what it is and make up your mind never to return to it. Could be people you are connected to in your heart that need to go. Blessings

Yes, it could be. The key word is work, so there may be something that you are putting so much effort (working too hard) into it and God is telling you to stop. Secondly, words are also bullets so this may also represent you getting into a “war of words” with someone. Trying to convince them with your words, which is not working, or perhaps you always like to get the last word in. God is telling you to stop that too. Don’t return to that. Word curses (bullets) are also things spoken over you which can paralyze you. Break off word curses. You do not need to say anything to anyone, if you know who is doing it break off the curses through a simple prayer and you don’t need to go back to “work” by trying to confront people just move on and cut ties.
