This prophetic Word is titled Something Dies in the Shift.
Who is this word for? Everyone. I believe the body of Christ is going through a shift right now. It started a few months ago. Some have already shifted, some are on the brink and some of you are getting ready to do it. This is a part of the transition but this is the entire body of Christ that is going through a shift, whether you’re in the airport or you exited the airport, all of us are shifting into something new.

There are many instances in the bible when God shifted His people into the new. While we follow the Hebraic Calendar there are moments when a shift can happen completely out of season of what is happening in the natural realm. In other words, it doesn’t always have to be in January, neither does it always happen in September/October during Rosh Hashanah.
You can shift at anytime during the year. The key is to discern when you are in a shift. The transition that moves you into the next thing. Then you have to discern once the shift has already happened so that you can step into the new and not try to do things in the old anointing when God is calling for something new.
The shift happens in the realm of the spirit before you see it in the natural, always.
It is far worse for you to find stagnation spiritually that you find it in the natural. You may not like the job you’re in now, or your living situation but let me tell you that not moving in the spirit when God says move is far worse. Because you can move spiritually and still be in the same job that you hate, and you can move spiritually and have the exact same living situation.
Discern when God’s cloud has moved, and move to follow it. The worse kind of stagnation is when God has moved and you are still stuck in the old place.

Every time when a major shift happens in the realm of the spirit something dies. I’ve had a few dreams of things dying off, people dying. I’m not going to go into the details on all the dreams but I will share the message of them.
One dream I saw armed men entered a bus, they decided to take the first 3 rows of people on the bus as hostages. The people remaining in the bus thought that the ones taken hostage were the ones in danger. However, the ones who were left in the bus were instantly shot.
All of the dreams had the same feel to them, old people dying, things dying off and a movement of the ones that were left. The Lord was basically showing me that the shift was taking place and the ones that were dying are the things that needed to die in the old place.
Some of the dreams just had people who were adamant to hang on to that position when the Lord had already told them, “it’s time to go!” What happens with them is that the door of opportunity closes and they end up circling the mountain again until we get to the next season when it’s time to shift.
These things come in seasons, this is not a one time deal and they happen when God is ready to take you to the next level. This is different from a transition because you can transition from one thing to the next within the same season. When you shift it is a whole new thing.
There are shifts that we make and we go back and forth into the old thing then there are shifts that you can’t go back. They are permanent. I’m discerning this one is a permanent shift. Think of it as Lot’s wife, if you attempt to you will find yourself killed (Genesis 19). Again, something is going to die off and if you are not ready to let it go it will affect your progress.
All of this is Spiritually, of course! If you don’t shift it will feel like spiritual stagnation because the cloud has moved. This is the death you will experience. NOTHING is happening, God still loves you but there is stagnation at more spiritual warfare in that place because God’s grace and presence has lifted. Ichabod.
Let me be clear…
YOU NEED TO SHIFT WITH THIS SHIFT.
You are not going to be able to go back. It will be like Lot’s wife. You may have people that you want to help but the minute you discern that they are so stuck in the old ways and they just can’t accept that the landscape has changed spiritually, you gotta let them choose what they choose and you need to move forward.
Some of the things you are waiting on to happen will happen but it won’t happen until after the shift. You may feel like you need to stay put because you’re right on the threshold of something but I am telling you that you need to cross over first before you see it.
That “thing” requires your alignment into the new before you’ll see it. In other words, you need to shift first.
What needs to die?
Honestly in the past I’ve noticed that this has mostly to do with mindsets, behaviors, attitudes, habits. Ask the Lord is there are mindsets, behaviors or habits you need to kill off. It needs to die.
Next there comes a separation, because generally in a shift a separation happens – people and places. If you feel this happening, you need to allow God to do what He is doing. Some of it may be painful, as in these dreams these were not warm and fuzzy and they felt sudden once the separation happened but it is necessary. Otherwise you won’t shift.
Ask the Lord what is He separating you from? People. Places.
This will not be hard for you to discern if you did the oil change. The Lord would’ve told you when you did it.
Once you know, do it.
This one >>>> sometimes what needs to die is your desire to control the outcome of everything. You’re not in control and you need to let go. Also, your desire to manage the how. <<<<
You may know what the Lord has said but you can be obsessive over how it will happen and if it is not happening the way you thought it would, could it be that God has another way of how it will get done? Perhaps you need to just let the “how” die! While you’re at it, kill the “when” too! LOL
Seriously, I find that for those who are walking pretty close to the Lord what you are stripping away may not be some huge sin that you are committing but rather controlling the variables of how things are happening.
If GOD started it, He’s also got a way to finish it. And, you really don’t need to know how. Just stand in faith and know that when it is time, it will happen.
Letting go is hard because when there is death, there is sorrow. You’ll cry because you’re giving up something.
THE GOOD NEWS!!
You literally will feel like something died, sadness. This is temporary because weeping may endure for the night but JOY comes in the morning and all of that needs to go before you can fully step into the new and see the promise and experience Fruitfulness.
John 12:24
Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.
A grain of wheat will produce a plant with about 4 or 5 heads, and there are usually at least 20 kernels (seeds) in each head. That’s a multiplier of around 100!
The one death leads to much fruit.
So, yes, your tears are temporary because what follows is fruitfulness and much joy when you realize what is going to come out of you shifting and killing off what the Lord has told you needs to go.
I’ve said all this so you can hear it plainly now let’s go to the scriptures so you can see how it played out when there was a major shifts in the Bible.

In all the dreams that I had it was like a line was drawn in the sand of where the death occurred. This tells me that God has been speaking for the longest time about the fact that something needs to die but we haven’t been listening. But then there comes a moment and it’s like “this is it, this stops now” It is a specific time and date.
Because so much grace had been granted in previous seasons we kind of take it for granted that this grace will always be there but this is not true. At some point it ends.
Think about the Israelites going through the wilderness to the promised land. The Lord showed patience with them for 40 years.
It’s like a window of time when we get to decided, strengthen out hearts and mind so that when God says it’s time to cross over, you cross over. However, once He said it, OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER again, there comes a point when He’s going to STOP TALKING. And now, it’s time for action.
If you feel yourself falling into old patterns, back up off it quickly! That is just the enemy pulling you into familiarity and a place of comfort so that you miss the place when you’re supposed to be crossing over. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
It tells the story of when God told the Israelites it was time to cross over and that He would kill everyone of them over the age of 20, except Joshua and Caleb.
That is a line in the sand! Why 20? Why not 30? 45? What I want you to see is that He decided all the way back when they were being born that that would be the generation He would bring into the promise land. It was a line in the sand.
There’s a cut off and God decided when that is. Therefore God has mercy on whom He wants to have mercy, and He hardens whom He wants to harden. (Romans 9:18)
You may say that because He is the one who decides, who cares? Well, there’s Joshua and Caleb who were well over the age of 20 and they made it. Because their actions said that they believed the Lord and were acting in a manner where He could trust them with the next.
Those Israelites who heard that God was only taking the younger generation tried in that moment to make it right but it was too late. They tried to force it and they were killed because His grace lifted. 40 years! It was time.
Those who are truly follow the Lord, and the move of the Spirit, will shift!
When the shift is happening in the spirit, things may look exactly that same in the natural.
Think about Lot, he had no idea what was about to happen. He was so entrenched in that society and that world that he couldn’t discern that the shift was upon Him. He almost lost his life. His wife just did what she always did except this time, it was permanent and she realize it.

One of the biggest shift in the Bible was Noah and the Ark. My goodness he tried to warn them OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN! But they wouldn’t listen. Until the day came when the line was drawn in the sand and God said build the boat with these dimensions, get these people on the boat, and then this verse…
Genesis 7:16
A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD closed the door behind them.
Noah didn’t lock anyone out, it was God who did it. He did what he was told to do. So that no matter how much they cried on the outside yelling for him to open the door and let them in, Noah couldn’t do it. They could’ve gone on when they saw him gathering the animals and moving them aboard but they thought he was crazy. They thought they had time.

Jesus found Peter, Andrew, James and John as fishermen and turned them into fishers of men (Matthew 4:18-22). They shifted from their professions into being disciples. This was a shift.
But notice that when Jesus died, they went back to fishing because they didn’t know what else to do. They went back to the familiar, the thing that they killed off in one season they picked it back up because they felt lost.
Then, John 21, after He rose from the grave He appeared to them and told them to cast their nets on the opposite side of the boat because they were fishing all night and caught nothing. Then on the beach He starts talking to Peter and tells him “Feed My sheep” and that was the start of the permanent shift. He was a disciple, he was devoted to the Lord but a shift happened in that moment. He was never a fisherman again after he pulled in that last catch. That was the death of that career path. No more backup plan in case it doesn’t work out.
It was a permanent shift.

I gave you 4 examples here and what I want you to see in all of them is that there is a cut off date. It was mot sudden, even though it feels like it! All of them knew what was coming before it happened. God is sooooo gracious to us! Once they left and moved into the next there was no going backwards. God is not blessing the old place.
Something has to die in order for the shift to happen.
It is not a fun, happy experience living through this but once you shift and embrace the new, you will start to realize God’s blessings in that place.
I believe you may already know what He’s asking you to get rid of, what needs to die. This is permanent. Once you mourn the loss of whatever it is, know that God has something much better on the other side after you shift. Your promises, in the Lord, are secure. He’s just getting rid of the things that were not beneficial. And, truthfully they were burdensome.
>>>In this season I also see that He’s not showing us exactly all the details of the new and I believe this is so that we can exercise TRUST in this process. You need to trust the Lord and know that His word is 100% true when He says, I know the plans I have for you, plans not to harm you but to give you a hope and a future..
Prayer: Lord soften my heart, open my ears to hear Your voice and give me the grace to be obedient to obey quickly getting rid of and letting go of what needs to die so that I can cross over into the new.
