This is the prophetic word for October 2026 and it is titled Now therefore, arise!
Who is this word for? For those who have crossed over into the new.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joshua 1:2
Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise…
Moses my servant is dead, signified the end of a season and now the new must begin. In order for the new to begin you have to arise and step into it.
You may have spent the last season in one mindset and now you are in the new place and you may be realizing that some of the things you used to do in the past season are not working anymore. Joshua was trained under Moses but he has his own style, his own way of doing things, different strategies.
The theoretical must now become the practical
You are entering a season where everything you learnt in the past season will now be put into practice. This season is going to test whether or not you believed what you said you did. Everything is being shaken and it is what you know that you will keep you standing. If your foundation is shaky that is also going to become very evident. If you kinda just went along with the crowd but you were not putting it into practice in your own life, all of that is coming to the forefront.
You have to think about what Joshua used to do, Moses would go up to the mountain to wait on the Lord and spend time with God and Joshua went with him.
Exodus 24:13-14
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay here, so that I may give you the tablets of stone, with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.” So Moses set out with Joshua his attendant and went up on the mountain of God.And he said to the elders, “Wait here for us until we return to you. Aaron and Hur are here with you. Whoever has a dispute can go to them.”
Exodus 33:7-11
7 Now Moses used to take a tent and pitch it outside the camp some distance away, calling it the “tent of meeting.” Anyone inquiring of the Lord would go to the tent of meeting outside the camp.8 And whenever Moses went out to the tent, all the people rose and stood at the entrances to their tents, watching Moses until he entered the tent. 9 As Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud would come down and stay at the entrance, while the Lord spoke with Moses. 10 Whenever the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance to the tent, they all stood and worshiped, each at the entrance to their tent. 11 The Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.
The bible primarily focused on Moses and him conveying to the people what God said but you need to understand that Joshua was there with him the entire time. That means Joshua had YEARS of training that none of us saw until Moses died.
Your “Moses” dying doesn’t necessarily have to mean someone died, even though it could, it could mean the season changed, God moved you from working at one company to the next, your boss left and now you have a new boss, you changed church, you’re with a new ministry, you parted ways with some people, you moved to another city. Whatever it is, something ended and now the new must begin.
Always remember, you’ve already been trained! What is happening now is what you already learnt you will now need to use.
Now therefore arise!
You do not need to mimic anyone! Joshua in personality and temperament is very different from Moses. He took the principles and made them his own. Actually if we were to examine both men you may realize they have different spiritual gift sets. Moses was giving the prophetic intercessor, soaking vibe while Joshua was more of the “do-er type” and very no nonsense. I didn’t see him pleading with God for the people, if they messed up he cut them off. He was very different.
One is not better than the other, it’s just A DIFFERENT SEASON that required a different skill and gift set.
Arise in the Hebrew Concordance is Qum 6569
קוּם always conveys movement from a lower to a higher position or from inactivity to purposeful action. Whether it is a person rising from a bed, a prophet being commissioned, or the LORD Himself acting in power, the verb marks a decisive transition that changes the situation into one of engagement, establishment, or continuation.
Engagement, Establishment or Continuation. I’ve said it before, you are not starting over, you are continuing. You are taking the lessons you learnt in past seasons and applying them as needed. The key is for you to know which strategy to use in each situation that you will encounter.
Discern, Discern, Discern
If you don’t know, ask the Lord. YOU already know, you just need to apply yourself.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Joshua couldn’t arise until he got the word from the Lord for Himself. When you sit under someone for so long and they are the one constantly bringing you into the presence of God at some point you need to learn to do it for yourself, by yourself!
Joshua heard directly from the Lord when it was time for him to arise and what I need you to see is this, he entered into battle IMMEDIATELY! Like 3 days later!
I’m telling you this so that you know that the battles that you are facing now are not the OLD ones, these are new battles in the new place they are just more challenging, bigger, that is because you’re in the new place now. But you are already equipped for this.
And remember this, your enemies are more afraid of you than you are of them! Because you were NEVER supposed to make it this far! This is perplexing to them. Joshua sent in spies to see what was up ahead before they entered the battle and this is what the enemies were saying…
Joshua 2:9-11
“I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. 10 We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. 11 When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.
They’ve been watching you! How in the world did you survive the Pharaoh? How did you survive the wilderness all those years? I can’t believe you recovered from _______________. I thought for sure you would’ve quit after___________________. I’m wondering how you are still standing after_________________.
They’ve taken out people with less than what they threw at you, but there you are still standing. Arise.
ALL of that did one thing, it showed them that you are not like everyone else. GOD has to be involved somewhere there or there’s no way you got this far. They are scared of you.
Whatever you are facing, you already know how to handle it Moses stretched out his rod and parted the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-22), Joshua told the Priest to step into the Jordan and the water parted (Joshua 3:14-17). Moses sent spies to spy out the land, Joshua sent spies to spy out the land. He already knew what to do, he just needed to apply it!
Same with you, you already know you just need to do it.

Now this part of the word is BIG and you may need to meditate on this to really grasp the full meaning. Read Joshua 5:2-12.
Here’s the thing, there was a season of your life when God’s grace was carrying you and covering you and He permitted you to do certain things in that season but now that you are in this new season, you’re not going to be allowed to do that any longer.
You will not be able to tap into the provisions of this land until you follow the rules.
You may be facing lack and not understanding why you cannot breakthrough. The manna season is over and now you need to go back to the FULL rule book in order to tap into the provision of this new land. What was permitted in the old season is no longer permitted and you need to do everything “by the book” in order to tap in. <<<< seek God for what this may be for you because it will look different for each person. If you have stepped from one season to another without a hiccup, then this part of the word is not for you. However, if you’ve notice things are more difficult, you need to read Joshua 5:2-12 and ask the Lord how it applies to you. Once you do things the way He is asking you to do it in this season, things will start flowing again. It will look different but you will have what you need.
Now therefore, arise.
Blessings!
