Hi Miriam, in situations like this someone does not want to sell the house. As long as the house if fairly priced, you have a good realtor and based on the area and the condition of the house, there is no reason it should not be sold. I think many times we underestimate the power of our spirit in an environment. One of the siblings is not in agreement with the sale of the house and that is why the house cannot be sold. The best thing for your husband to do is walk away. He should give it to God and tell the others when they have it sold the can contact him. Otherwise this house will forever be a place of contention. You can’t make someone sell a house if they don’t want to. They may all be saying with their mouths that they want it sold when in reality someone is still holding it in their spirit/heart. I’ve had this situation before with a lady that tried selling her house for 2 years and couldn’t do it. When I walked in the house I could discern that she didn’t want to sell it. She was saying it with her mouth but she had not let go of it in her heart. So we prayed for her to release the house and within 2 days she got an offer. Hope that makes sense.

Hi Mark, Jesus showed people the way but He never forced anyone to do anything they didn’t want to do. We’ve entered homes before where people said they wanted to be free but the truth is they were unwilling to do what was necessary to get the freedom they desired. In those cases, there is nothing we can do to help.

Hi Jena, Yes that is correct even if you are flipping a house to sell it. If you find it’s not selling as quickly as it should and you have it priced correctly then you need to pray through the house before you have your next showing. Follow the steps in this post starting with Step #3. The good news is that you know what the house was used for so you can also incorporate a binding and loosing prayer. Binding all addictions – drugs (illegal and prescription) and prostitution and sexual immorality and loose the peace of God and righteousness into that home. Also ask the Lord to forgive all those who perform the acts in that house that brought the curse there and ask Him for favor to sell the house with peace, free and clear for the new home owner. Hi Mike, this depends on how you feel about it. If there are strange things happening and you can’t attribute it to anything else but that, then you need to get rid of it. If you don’t think it affects anything and you are using it to study and evangelize to that group, then you are making use of it for the purposes of the Kingdom. You need to pray over it that anything demonic attached to it will be cut off and cancelled. I was once helping someone pray through their house and when I asked if there was anything they thought the enemy could use as a gateway they brought me a stack of books – Christian Science, Mysticism, Chinese gods, etc. They were seeking prior to being saved and read all these books. The fact that they thought the books were a gateway for evil was enough for them to throw them in the trash. If you decide to dispose of it, don’t give it to someone else, throw it away. Ask the angels to protect them and pray Psalm 91 over them. If you search the site you will find these prayers. Then you need to ask God to open your brothers eyes to his need to cleanse his house. If he acknowledges that he might ask you for help. Until then, just pray.

Yes, a demon can induce laziness. Actually the spirit of python can make you feel this lethargic spirit. You need to tell it to leave you house in Jesus name and never return. If other people in your house have experienced it the spirit is definitely there. Do the house cleansing prayer but break this spirit of python, lethargy, laziness, procrastination and cast them out of your house. Hi HG, I’m sorry to hear that you are having this issue. If I were you I would find a pastor or a Christian intercessor to come over and pray through the house. Remember these spirits only bow and leave to the name of Jesus, from someone who believes and has accepted Jesus. This spirit will not submit to you if you are not submitted to Jesus Christ. This is why you can’t to do it. If you can tell me the city you are located, I can get you some help there. Or if you accept Christ as your Savior then you are able to cast it out. You are correct Theresa, the process is quite simple when you are filled with the Spirit of God, you know the scriptures and you are living a holy life. Hi Linda, yes this is called generational curses and unless someone in the family breaks it then it continues. You can break it if you are in that family off of you and your children as well but you need to get your brother on board to pray it for himself and his line as well. Also, depending on the history of your sister in law this could come in from her family as well. Hi Toni, we’re very sorry to hear that you are going through this. You need to connect with a local church and ask one of the pastors to come to your house and help you to cleanse it. All of the items you listed at the end WILL NOT help you. They are occultic and new age and you are making it worse by doing that. You should discard them immediately. And, find pastor. The only advice we have for you is what is written in the post. Try not to theologically dissect anything that is written either. I completely understand. And, you are not losing your mind this is real. If they think you’re crazy then find someone else to help. Even if you have to go out of your church to one that knows how to get demons out. I’m not telling you to leave your church but you need someone who knows what they are doing to help you with this. Hello CL, first I commend you on thinking this through before starting to throw things out. Generally a conversion is a difficult transition for the person who received Christ and also for the unsaved around them. It is like he doesn’t quite know what to do now. How you act and what you say is important ( 1 Peter 3:1, notice it says what you do and not so much what you say). I would advise not throwing out anything that belongs to him or was something he purchased and is attached to. When he comes to know the Lord he can make that decision himself. You can throw out what you are able to that you purchased, if he asks about it just tell him that they give you a weird feeling and you want to get rid of it, and leave it at that. We said here that where the mirrors are concerned to make the cross using the oil on the mirror, what if you did that with his items? Try that. Of course, you don’t want to put so much oil on it that it is evident. Otherwise, he’ll be asking why everything looks so greasy, LOL. Praying for his salvation and your patience. Blessings
