As believers in the body of Christ our entry into Christianity came through Faith.  There are times when we need bible verses about faith to continue encouraging ourselves in the faith.  There is faith that we need to be saved but there is also another level of faith that is needed to believe the promises of God. There is also another level of faith that is needed to operate in spiritual giftings and specifically the gift of faith.

We want to share these scriptures on faith with you and pray that God will give you a revelation into faith when you read these.

Bible Verses About Faith

Hebrews 11:6 New International Version (NIV) ~ “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

Galatians 2:16 (NKJV) ` “knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.”

Romans 1:17 New Living Translation (NLT) ~ “This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.”

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV) ~ “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

2 Corinthians 5:7  (NIV) ~ “For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Acts 26:17-18 (NKJV) ~ “ I will deliver you from the Jewish people, as well as from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, to open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.’”

Luke 17:5 (NLT) ~ ” The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.””

James 1:2-3 (NKJV) ~ “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

1 John 5:4  (NIV) ~ “for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.”

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NKJV) ~ “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,”

Luke 17:6  (NIV)  ~“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.”

Romans 10:17  (NKJV) ~ “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Ephesians 6:16 (NIV) ~ “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”

1 Corinthians 10:13  (NLT) ~ “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.”

James 5:15 (NKJV) ~ “And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”

Hebrews 10:38 (NIV) ~“But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.”

Romans 3:28 (NLT) ~ “So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.”
