Prayer for Thanksgiving
Here is a short and sweet prayer for Thanksgiving. You know, when you pray “thanks” to God you just need to open your mouth and pour your heart out. There’s no wrong way or right way to give thanks to God. It’s just being honest about how you feel.
Sometimes that spirit of thanksgiving comes about because we’ve been saved from danger. Something really traumatic was about to happen and you got saved from that. Or you were healed of some disease that was a miracle. Or you got saved from making an incredibly big mistake which would have had huge consequences! At those moments you don’t need a written prayer you just pour out thanksgiving from your heart to God through Jesus Christ. However, if none of these circumstances outline your situation and you just need a short prayer of thanksgiving we’ve got one for you below.
Now that the day has ended, I thank you Lord, and I ask that the evening and the night be sinless. Grant this to me, O Savior, and save me.
Glory to the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit
Now that the day has passed, I glorify you, O Master, and I ask that the evening and the night be without offense. Grant this to me, O Savior, and save me.
Both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen
Now that the day has run its course, I praise you, O Holy One, and I ask that the evening and the night be undisturbed. Grant this to me, O Savior, and save me.
