Prophetic Word – Your Land

This prophetic word is titled Your Land.

Who is this word for?  Everyone.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
One of the things the Lord has been highlighting to me as I read through Genesis is how we operate when we are in our land and how the actual land responds to our presence there.
I know it sounds strange but this is true and I believe as Christians we may not even realize it until someone points it out to us.
God was the one who created boundaries, gates, land lines, neighborhoods, cities, counties, parishes, districts, states, countries.  From the very beginning of the bible there was a boundary line around the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil!  It’s invisible, but it’s there.    When He said don’t touch this, that was the boundary line.
Then God told Abraham of the Land belonging to him and his descendants.  First, it was Genesis 12:7 when he was in the Canaanite land and God said “to your offspring I will give this land”.  That was just one little place where he was standing and he built an altar there.  Then later on after parting ways with Lot in
Genesis 13:14
“Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.”
That was an expansion from what he was originally told.
Then after Abram told the king of Sodom to take a hike, the Lord came again and gave him even more land.
Genesis 15:18 – 20
On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the Wadi of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates— 19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”
What does this tell you?  You will increase and expand as time goes on based on…stewardship. The bible tells us that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof so the land is actually His and you are just a steward of what He allows you to have.
As you begin to walk in the ways of the Lord, He will increase your territory.
When you understand this, it should then translate to the fact that we have been given specific boundary lines and when we operate in our own land the results are very different than when we step over into territories where God has not called or assigned us.
Abram had no authority in Egypt because that is not his land which is why God kept telling them not to go there.
One of the most interesting reads for me in the bible is Deuteronomy 2. <<< you need to read it.  Every time I read it I find it fascinating!
The Israelites are on their way into the promised land and here is what the Lord said
Deuteronomy 2:4-6
4 Give the people these orders: ‘You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, but be very careful. 5 Do not provoke them to war, for I will not give you any of their land, not even enough to put your foot on. I have given Esau the hill country of Seir as his own. 6 You are to pay them in silver for the food you eat and the water you drink.’”
Then comes the next part…
Deuteronomy 2:9
Then the Lord said to me, “Do not harass the Moabites or provoke them to war, for I will not give you any part of their land. I have given Ar to the descendants of Lot as a possession.”
In other words, STOP trying to take territory and lands that God has not given to you.  Keep it moving!
It continues with the same story with the Ammonites, don’t touch their land.
Then they get to their land and this is what He says…
verse 24-25
24 “Set out now and cross the Arnon Gorge. See, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his country. Begin to take possession of it and engage him in battle. 25 This very day I will begin to put the terror and fear of you on all the nations under heaven. They will hear reports of you and will tremble and be in anguish because of you.”
Here is what I need you to know, if they touched the land God told them not to touch there would be a war and THEY WOULD LOSE!
When they got to their land there was still a war except this time, THEY WILL WIN!
Let me ask you a question, would you know the difference if the war you are fighting is due to you taking something that doesn’t belong to you or is it because this is your land and you are battling for a victory?
Both results in war but only one will produce a victory for you!
~~~~~~~~~~

Here’s the thing with your land, it knows you.  You have angels assigned to you that will work on your behalf when you are in that place.  When you pray prayers things happen.  You are literally rejected by the land when you are in the wrong place.  I think a lot of people don’t realize this and when they try and try and try and everything is failing while others around them are succeeding they are not realizing that one of the reasons could be that this is not your land.

Your sin can defile the land.  Look at what God said to the Israelites when they were going to take the land of Canaan after leaving Egypt.

Leviticus 18:24-28

24 “‘Do not defile yourselves in any of these ways, because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled. 25 Even the land was defiled; so I punished it for its sin, and the land vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws. The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled. 28 And if you defile the land, it will vomit you out as it vomited out the nations that were before you.

The land fails to produce because of the defilement that was done upon it.  Sin.  That means when you move into your territory the land, the ground, the foundation where you rest need to be prayed over.  You need to go into repentance over the land.  Repenting of the sins that have happened there.  Yes!  Touch the ground and pray over it.  Repent for all the sins that were committed there and ask the Lord to forgive it and restore the land.

What do you repent for?  Ask the Lord to bring to mind all the sins that were committed in that place, then you also look around the area, the community, what you see happening to the people in the area.  Anything that you see in your neighborhood that is sin needs repentance especially when you see the same thing happening to several people. It is not that hard to identify what is wrong.  It’s different for each area.  Are you seeing tons of foreclosures around you, you better start praying!!

Remember when Cain killed Abel, it said that his blood cried out from the ground so the land is very much aware of the iniquity that was committed upon it.

2 Chronicles 7:14

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

This scripture which we quote quite often doesn’t say He’s going to heal you, it says He’s going to heal the land when the Christians pray over it and repent.

When you are in your land, the land will obey you!  I cannot walk into your house and do whatever I want to do because that is YOUR house.  Likewise, I can’t go to another city and operate in a spiritual capacity unless I am invited by someone who lives there and has delegated authority to me to operate there or GOD himself told me to go there.

Our cities look the way it does because as Christians we are not doing our jobs.  Most are looking to their own interests and not the interests of the Lord in that city.   We go to church, we leave church and that is the end of it….till next Sunday.  Do you pray over your city?  Your community?

How different would it look if we trained the people who are in our churches to start praying over the city, like ALL the people in your church. Drive down the streets praying in tongues.  Next time your friends call you up for coffee, get the coffee, go back in the car and just start driving up and down streets and praying.  Try that.

Back to the land obeying you….

Every time there was a famine in the land, the first thing the Israelites would do is head to Egypt.  As soon as Lot left Egypt and he looked out and saw that fertile land and decided that is where he wanted to be except that was Sodom and Gomorrah.  We always want our land to be beautiful and fertile.

However, sometimes your land might encounter problems.  Your response should not be to run away but instead understand that if you are where God told you to be YOU WILL PROSPER.  It is going to work out.  You can’t pay attention to what is going on around you, you rest in the fact that you are where God told you to be.

Genesis 26

Now there was a famine in the land—besides the previous famine in Abraham’s time—and Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. 2 The Lord appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live. 3 Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham. 4 I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and will give them all these lands, and through your offspring[a] all nations on earth will be blessed, 5 because Abraham obeyed me and did everything I required of him, keeping my commands, my decrees and my instructions.” 6 So Isaac stayed in Gerar.

Look at this…

12 Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. 13 The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. 14 He had so many flocks and herds and servants that the Philistines envied him. 15 So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth.

Imagine in a famine you are succeeding?  Why else would other people become envious of you other than you are prospering and they are feeling the famine!

They recognized that his reality and their reality was not the same!  Even though they were living in the same land.

Why????

Because that is HIS LAND.  The ground, the land, is obeying him.  They stopped up the wells Abraham dug so they were sabotaging him.  If you continue to read in this same chapter you will see that every well he dug they took it from him.

It must’ve been super frustrating for him so God had to reassure him that he was not alone.  All along the Phillistines are observing what is happening and realizing that everything he touches prospers.

Why couldn’t they have dug the wells themselves?  I believe it would be “dry as chip” as they would say, no water.  So he needed to dig them before they could take it. The land is obeying/cooperating with him and not with them.

What I need you to see here is that, the famine was still happening around him.  However, it didn’t stop him from succeeding.

Over the next few years as the world goes through upheavals.  Times may get rough, but GOD is going to cause you to prosper inspite of it when you are in your land.

Do not allow what you are hearing around you, in your environment to cause you to be afraid.  You will be provided for by your Heavenly Father as you obey Him through this time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
You know when Abraham went to Egypt when there was a severe famine, the Pharaoh kicked him out and the scripture doesn’t tell us that the famine was over when he was kicked out so I tend to believe that the famine was still going on and that is when he was digging these wells and finding water because he was in his land.
If we just ask the Lord for instructions we can receive blessings and prosperity in the midst of drought and famine.  You can’t have livestock and crops if you have no water and he had all of that and more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Because he was in his land, he had authority so that his mouth had a kingly anointing and his words were powerful in his region.

Genesis 20:17-18, Abraham had the ability to pray and open the wombs of the women in Abimelek’s area…because that was his land.

Genesis 19, The angels had to remove Lot and his family before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah because of Abraham’s word with YHWH.

His mouth.

The things he spoke in his land happened…but this same man didn’t have that authority in his mouth in Egypt.

Do you see the difference?  We can’t just go from a place when things are not going well. We are called to CHANGE it with the words of our mouth.

If HE, YHWH, sent you to an area you have authority there!  If you are living in a place where He didn’t call you, then anything can happen to you in that region.  You’ll have your guardian angels but all the other angels that would assist you in getting ahead will just not respond to your prayers because you do not have the authority in that region.  The angels know if you are in your territory.

Your authority will grow as the region, area or territory where you are called grows and all of that will depend on stewardship.

Well done my good and faithful servant, you have done well with a few things now I will put you in charge of many things.  (Matthew 25:23) He’s looking to see what you will do with the territory you currently have.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
How will you know your land?
Ask God.  Ask Him to show you which area you’re supposed to be living in.  Which city?  This isn’t about you being where you want to be but more about the fact that GOD has a plan and each area has a different steward. He has already decided where you should be.
When you get there, things may not be perfect and you now have to pray over that area.  This is your job.  Can you quietly, drive around an area, look at what is going on there and quietly start praying for that area without saying anything to anyone?
Then as you make a regular schedule doing this every week start paying attention to the changes in the area as you pray, make declarations and decrees.
Of course all the things you pray must be lined up with the word of God.  Pray, don’t prey.  Make sure you have access to the local newspapers online because as soon as things start happening, you will start to see it in the news.  This is your biggest confirmation of your anointing in that area.
QUIETLY.
The easiest way for you to get major spiritual warfare is you talking a little bit too much about what you are doing there.  SSShhhhhh.
Not once did Abraham tell the inhabitants of the land, that the territory belonged to him.  He moved in silence,
Also keep in mind that He can have you living in one place and then later one move you to another place.  Sometimes He’ll tell you to move to another location as your territory begins to expand.
In closing, I would like to share this dream/vision with you that I received related to praying over your land.  I believe it will be an encouragement to you.
Prayer:
Abba Father, Thank you for instituting boundary lines and for designating a territory to each and every one of us. Please make it clear to me where I should be and what you have put under my stewardship then teach me how to pray according to Your will for that region.  Give me grace and courage to stand when things are not looking as they should and vision to see what Your will is for that area so that I can pray according to Your will.  Grant me discernment to know when I am fighting against Your will over territories and lands that You have not assigned to me and peace when I have reached my portion, in Jesus’ name Amen.
Blessings
