This prophetic word is titled Restoration and Repayment.
Who is this word for? Everyone who feels they need to be restored or there is a repayment due to them
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In processing with the Lord the repayment due to us as a part of our restoration, I’ve found that there are 3 different types and each is different. I’m going to outline them to you in this post giving you two examples of it in the scriptures. The word tells us on the word of two or more witnesses. things is established so if you ever find two different scriptures in the bible that reference the same thing, you know that you can use it, pray it and know that God will deliver it. Who knows, maybe there are more than 3 but for now this is what I found.
- Restoration and Repayment when you made the mistake of sinning against the Lord or others.
Sometimes we blame the devil for things that has nothing to do with him. Our own sin can lead us into trouble and cause us to lose things where we need to have restoration. The only way forward when you have sinned against God and man is through repentance. There has to be repentance for the sin in order for God to restore you. Once the repentance takes place, depending on the nature of the sin you may or may not have consequences. I, much like you, would love to repent and not have consequences but the truth is it doesn’t happen like that all the time. There are consequences and sometimes we have to face them before God restores us. The restoration can be that we are allowed to continue with the purpose and plan God has for us. We don’t get anything extra, He just allows us to continue with His plan for our lives.
As an example, Sampson was well aware that he was not to be having a relationship with Delilah, he also knew he was a Nazarite and not allowed to cut his hair. The minute he violated this he had consequences.
Here’s what the angel said to his parents before his birth..
Judges 13:5
“You’re going to become pregnant and have a son. You must never cut his hair because the boy will be a Nazirite dedicated to God from birth. He will begin to rescue Israel from the power of the Philistines.”
Notice it said “begin to rescue Israel” that means from the start he was just to start the process it was never his job to finish it. When he disobeyed he lost his sight and his hair was cut so he also lost his strength. In his final prayer to the Lord he asked to be given strength one last time so that he could complete his mission of “beginning to rescue Israel from the power of the Philistines“. The Lord granted him that wish.
Judges 16:30
And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.
So, he was granted to complete his mission but not without consequences.
The second example is when David committed the sin of adultery with Bathsheba and also had her husband, Uriah, killed in battle so that he could be with her. It is said that God went silent on David for a year after the incident. Can you imagine God not talking to you for a whole year? Wow! I would feel so lost. Since David never repented for the sin but kept on living because no-one knew what he did, the Lord had to send Nathan the prophet to confront him about the sin and tell him to repent.
2 Samuel 12:9-18
9 Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites. 10 Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’
11 “This is what the Lord says: ‘Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight. 12 You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’”
13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”
Nathan replied, “The Lord has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.14 But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for[a] the Lord, the son born to you will die.”
15 After Nathan had gone home, the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and he became ill. 16 David pleaded with God for the child. He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth[b] on the ground.17 The elders of his household stood beside him to get him up from the ground, but he refused, and he would not eat any food with them.
18 On the seventh day the child died.
Once he repented and faced the consequence of his actions, he was restored to continue being the king.
2. Repayment when the Lord was the one who afflicted us.
The two examples I have are Job and Joseph. The repayment I see for this is double. I repayment because of what the Lord brought
Job did nothing wrong, he was being tested because of his faithfulness to God.
Job 1:6-12
6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan[b] also came with them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
He endured this for decades and at the end he received double (Job 42:12). The other interesting thing about the restoration that comes from this type of affliction is that it opens to door of others to be blessed who are a part of your family that wouldn’t normally receive a blessing. We see in Job 42:15 that his daughters received an inheritance as well. Back in those days, the girls were not given an inheritance, only the boys. But Job left an inheritance to his daughters.
Isaiah 61:7-8 The Message
Because you got a double dose of trouble
and more than your share of contempt,
Your inheritance in the land will be doubled
and your joy go on forever.
We see the same thing with Joseph. After he was sold into slavery, then ended up in jail, when his restoration came it also signified the double. The name of his second son, Ephraim, means double fruits.
We know of the 12 tribes of Israel but Joseph was never given any land in the promise land. That was never God’s purpose for his life. He was chosen to go to Egypt and rule so that he could ensure the posterity of the Israelites. This was God’s plan all along. In order for that to happen he suffered. I know that we don’t like to hear this, and most people have never been taught the theology of suffering, but this is a fact. Our own Savior suffered and…(2 Timothy 2:12).
Joseph understood clearly why everything happened the way it did. Here is what he said:
Genesis 50:20
20 As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today.
Instead his sons inherited the land, Mannaseh got 2 allotment of land and Ephraim also received an allotment of land. One of the sons got a double portion on the east and west side of the river.
And again, much like with Job, Joseph’s son Mannaseh did not have sons, he had 5 daughters known as the daughters of Zelophehad and they ended up with an inheritance.
How do you think this part of the daughter’s inheriting land would translate today? Please write it in the comments. There has to be inheritance that you receive as a part of this repayment when the affliction was brought about from the Lord. And the inheritance is specifically given when you were never expecting it and were not suppose to get it. Which is amazing news if you fall under this type of repayment.
3. Repayment when someone or the enemy steals from you.
Proverbs 6:30-31
People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving. Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.
This is the enemy stealing from you and you can ask for a seven fold repayment for this. A complete explanation has already been given on this and you can read the post here and pray the prayer in the post for restoration when the enemy has stolen from you.
This would be one way of asking for a repayment, it’s sevenfold of whatever was stolen. You have to always remember that your war is not against flesh and blood. Try to never focus on an individual but instead the fact that the enemy stole from you using whomever or whatever ways. If you pray looking at it this way, you end up casting a broader net and catching ALL the thieves instead of just the one you saw or know about. Your enemies can be people you don’t even know!
Exodus 22:1-14 also outlines a whole list of items when they are stolen what the repayment should be and it varies – double, four times, five times. Zacchaeus gave back four times for cheating people on their taxes (Luke 19:8).
It appears that when it comes to theft it was double all the way up to 7 times what was stolen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You may be wondering why I am showing you this, this is so that you can pray better prayers. If you know you sinned against the Lord, repent. And, God will allow you to step back into the purpose He has for your life. Sometimes you may have consequences. You won’t get more, you will be allowed to continue.
When it was God that brought the affliction it is double what you lost and grace and favor of an inheritance for those who were not suppose to receive it.
When things are stolen by the enemy or others it is double and up to seven times what was stolen.
Joel 2:25-27
“I’ll make up for the years of the locust,
the great locust devastation—
Locusts savage, locusts deadly,
fierce locusts, locusts of doom,
That great locust invasion
I sent your way.
You’ll eat your fill of good food.
You’ll be full of praises to your God,
The God who has set you back on your heels in wonder.
Never again will my people be despised.
You’ll know without question
that I’m in the thick of life with Israel,
That I’m your God, yes, your God,
the one and only real God.
Never again will my people be despised.
But the financial blessings are not the only thing that gets restored, your spiritual life also gets restored and you get spiritual gifts you never had before!
Joel 2:28-32
“And that’s just the beginning: After that—
“I will pour out my Spirit
on every kind of people:
Your sons will prophesy,
also your daughters.
Your old men will dream,
your young men will see visions.
I’ll even pour out my Spirit on the servants,
men and women both.
I’ll set wonders in the sky above
and signs on the earth below:
Blood and fire and billowing smoke,
the sun turning black and the moon blood-red,
Before the Judgment Day of God,
the Day tremendous and awesome.
Whoever calls, ‘Help, God!’
gets help.
On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
there will be a great rescue—just as God said.
Included in the survivors
are those that God calls.”
Remember God is in the business of FULL restoration – mind, body, soul & spirit. He is concerned with every area of your life financial, relational, emotional, mental, you name it, all of it!
The Lord is merciful and gracious and wants to restore you even better than it was before. Accept His forgiveness and reach out and take His hand and allow Him to get you back in alignment with His will. There is nothing too bad that you did that He will not forgive. He is waiting for you.
Blessings!

So if I was fired from a job and the Lord says, remember they are not rejecting you they are rejecting Me, then I should pray the sevenfold restoration?
Hi Maria, yes based on what the Lord said to you. Also, you shouldn’t pray to get that job back, since you were rejected there, instead pray to get another job 7 times better than the last one.
