If you are doing the January fast with us, you’re already stepping into this month with the correct focus.  If you are new to this ministry, you can find out more about the Fast by visiting this page.

If you are wondering what is first fruits? Read this.

In Exodus 12:2-5 we see that Nisan is called the first month, this makes Sh’vat  (also Shevat or Shebat) the eleventh month.

Eleven is the number of transitions.  You have to remember the Hebraic Calendar is the first calendar and started before the Gregorian Calendar (January, February, March…) that most of us use today.

So isn’t interesting that in this 11th month, which is the month of transition that on the Gregorian Calendar we are transitioning into a New Year?  Yep, that’s because whether we choose to recognize it or not God has His calendar running in the background of our lives.  We just need to align with it.  If you are seeing a lot of 11, 11:11, 111, 1111, right now that is because God is telling you the transition is on and you need to transition into something NEW.  If you continue to see these numbers past Sh’vat it just means that you haven’t transitioned yet which means you need to ask the Lord if there is something you need to do to move into what He has for you next.

We see this month mentioned in the bible in Zechariah 1:7.

Sh’vat is the rainy month and the rains actually extend beyond this month as well.  Rain is a sign of God’s blessing.  When the rain comes it waters the seed and the seed grows.  So God will bless what you have sown this month.

Leviticus 26:4

I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.

Be intentional about what you are sowing. Sowing can be anything financial, in kind, services, your words, prayers, your actions, your behavior.  Ask God to show you what you should sow this month and where you should sow it.  No one wakes up to an orchard of trees if they never planted anything.  Be intentional because the Lord will rain on it this month.

Hosea 10:12

Sow for yourselves, with a view to righteousness;
Harvest in accordance with kindness.
Break up your uncultivated ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord
Until He comes and rains righteousness on you.

Isn’t it interesting this also is the time of year when people write New Years resolutions and start making changes in their lives?  Yes, because this calendar is already running in the background of our lives.  Many people have already started planting these good seeds – habits, behavioral changes – at the start of the year. We all know this is when we make changes.

Tu B’Shevat  this is the 15th of Sh’vat and it is known as the New Year of Trees or the Birthday of the trees.  At this time of year in Israel, people plant trees and they eat the fruit of the trees and reflect on God’s goodness of blessing them.  Trees are a sign of fruitfulness.  It’s winter right now in Israel and the trees don’t really look like they are fruitful, but they pray a blessing over the trees and for the future fruitfulness!

Here is a video explaining more about Tu B’Shevat

Do you know the first kind of tree that springs up in Israel?  It is the almond tree.  It starts budding before the rest of the trees do.  This is significant.

Because God mentions the almond trees in the book of Jeremiah and then He tells us what it means Jeremiah 1:11-12

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.” Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”

So the Lord, is saying that He will send His rain of blessings upon us and the promises He has made to us will spring forth because He is the one that is watching over that word to perform it!!  Praise the Lord!

The Lord is saying to you “I’m going to do exactly what I told you”

First Fruit Blessing Prayer for Sh’vat

Abba Father, thank you for this season of transition. Thank you that I am transitioning into something new and something good.  Because I know the plans you have for me are plans to prosper me and not to harm, they are plans to give me hope and a future.   Thank you that You are watching over Your word to perform it, so I have no need to worry about the fulfillment of the promises You have made to me.  I pray now the You direct me in what to sow and where to sow.  Show me how I may be a blessing to others in this month. Align my heart, mind, soul and body with Your will so that what I sow will be produce good fruit. I repent for the seeds that I sowed that were not good.  I pray you uproot those seeds so that nothing comes from them.  I pray that everything that I have planted this far that is good will spring forth quickly and produce fruitful trees as you rain upon it.  I pray that this will be a fruitful year for me and my family.  Blessed are You Oh Lord our God, King of the Universe, and Creator of the fruit of our trees.  We know that You are the one who makes it possible for there to be any fruitfulness in our lives and we praise You for it. Blessed are You, Lord our God, Master of the universe, who has kept us alive and sustained us and has brought us to this special time.  It is only by Your goodness and through Your grace that we have made it this far and we praise You for it, in Jesus name, Amen.

Blessings

  1. I definitely believe this is a time of transition and fruitfulness for me!
Several people (including my pastor) have said 2024 is all about being INTENTIONAL, so it’s funny you mentioned it. I thank God for His word and for this ministry! I look forward to seeing God doing what He said He will do, in THIS YEAR! Rain/reign oh God!!

  2. Thank you for the blessed word. This has encouraged my desire to transition into something new while remaining obedient to God’s word. Your posts are always a source of encouragement for me. God is good. God’s blessings on you.

  3. Thank you for the timely message and the beautiful testimony shared. A testimony that is not faked and one that can make you cry. Indeed God is in control. He makes a way where there seemed to be no way.
Indeed I shall partake in this transition and the Lord will back it all the way.
May the Lord increase this ministry and give more revelations and directions from above

  4. Hello MOP,

Thank you yet again for your dedication and commitment to this ministry, it is almost every time after reading your messages that I learn deep and profound mysteries of God’s truth. I have spent years doing Bible school and learing the basics but now withyour help I am searching the deeper things of God and withthat His will for my life so that I can walk a deeper and more meaningful path with Him for my life and my family as well. Gong through your messages is so interesting as I go from paragraph to web-links and read up on more truths while you are explaining the deeper truth behind scripture. I am thoroughly enjoying this…

I have a deep sense within that your messages are God speaking to me and with that I can say: this prophet has passed the test 🙂

May the Lord bless you richly and may your ministry grow from strength to strength in the Lord.

    1. This is exactly how I feel, also with tears of joy in my eyes! The wonders of God flood my soul so deep as I read and learn!

  5. thank you so much for everything Im currently in the desert of Tucson Mtn Park

The people are like the grass there beauty fades as quickly as the flowers in the field the grass withers and the flowers fade beneath the breath of the Lord the grass withers and the flowers fade but the word of our god stands forever

  6. This was so awesome for I am truly transitioning into God’s will and it’s not me. It’s not easy and don’t feel great as the old man ( spirit) is being stripped. I’m holding on in Jesus Name.

  7. Thanks for the in depth insight on applying the principle of the first fruit giving it is really something worth doing, for the lord is interested in us enjoying the life he has given us, this has also reminded me of Deuteronomy 8:3. So this are some of the things we need to apply and get the blessing attach there in.
All along I’ve been wondering about the Hebrew calendar how it started and it’s relevance with the prophecies in the Bible today but I’ve not gotten any reliable source of such information, hopefully I’ll use that link to explore more on that if it can be of help in that.
In November I saw a vision of wings of angel in the sky but there bodies were hidden in the clouds I couldn’t see them, after that until now double and triple numbers are everywhere in my sight that I am overwhelmed of searching in the Bible, like now as I write this the Tim e is 23:23 and the batteries is also 23% and my attention is drawn to it.
There is a day I tried to find out from Google, but what I got in the middle didn’t add up to my faith because there is no mention of God they are just speaking about the power of the universe so I was confused totally. One day I prayed and asked God what is happening to me, and
immediately before I could end a sentence, i was directed to the book of Isaiah 6:6 from that time I’ve left everything to him and ask that let his will take place.
    Shalom.

  8. Thank you, thank you for this post!! I just had a dream, which I believe was from God, that included this number!! I’ve been meditating on the dream for a couple of days as well as studying some material while awaiting revelation! Transition is definitely my portion in this season and hour and I appreciate God for confirming this!! God bless you!

  9. Thank you for this word I received revelation and understanding about a dream I had two weeks ago where my husband showed me a SMS an amount was deposited of 11 thousand and odd.

    Thank you

  10. Thank you for this timely, and beautiful word – and for your obedience to our King. I believe and receive, in Jesus Name.

    Praise His holy name!
