Prophetic Word – Grace: How it works

prophetic word grace how it works

This prophetic word is about Grace and how it works.

Who is this word for?  Everyone.

~~~~~~~~~
I asked the Lord for a prophetic word for us this week and He told me to talk about His grace and how it works.  I realized as I was reflecting on some of the occasions when I stepped into His grace that this was certainly something that we all tap into at different points in our journey and we’re going to need it this year.  Some of you may need this right now too.
I notice that God’s grace is needed when we are making major transitional moves
Strong’s Greek Concordance 5485
Charis: Grace, favor, kindness, blessing
Pronunciation: khar’-ece
(a) grace, as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ, (b) favor, (c) gratitude, thanks, (d) a favor, kindness.
Xaris is preeminently used of the Lord’s favor – freely extended to give Himself away to people because He is “always leaning toward them”
In the New Testament, “charis” primarily refers to the unmerited favor and kindness of God towards humanity. It encompasses the idea of divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration and sanctification. “Charis” is often associated with the concept of salvation, as it is by grace that believers are saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8). It also denotes the graciousness of God in bestowing gifts and blessings upon His people, as well as the grace that believers are to extend to others.
In the Greco-Roman world, “charis” was commonly understood as a favor or gift given without expectation of return, often to cement social bonds or express goodwill. In the New Testament, this concept is deepened and transformed to express the profound and unconditional love of God towards humanity, which is not based on human merit but on God’s own character and purpose.
~~~~~~~~~~

Breaking it down, God’s grace is not something you earn.  There is nothing you can do to gain it.  You don’t get His grace because of something you did.

It is a free gift because of who He is,  His character.

—Oh Glory!

Why does He pour out His grace on you?  To accomplish HIS purpose.

…Oh Glory!

As long as you are walking in the direction that God wants you to walk, doing the thing He called you to do, heading towards the purpose and destiny He has on your life, His grace is theren to carry you into His purpose.

Isn’t that good news?!

So when do you need it?

2 Corinthians 12:9

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

When you recognize you are in a situation that you cannot solve, cannot fix, have no control over it, completely powerless to change it…that’s when you need His grace more than anything else.

And can I tell you something?  God LOVES to put us in situations where we need His grace because He becomes more real to us in these moments.

He LOVES to show up and show out!  He LOVES to show up as our God so that people will know that He is there for us.

He LOVES to put us in situations where He comes through in such a big way and all the glory goes to Him.  So that it stands as a sign to your calling and that it is the direction that He wants you to take.

The In Flow and Out Flow of Grace

Please understand how this works, He pours it on us so that we have FAVOR and BLESSINGS and we are ENABLED by a supernatural ability to do things that we wouldn’t ordinarily be able to do.  That’s the in flow.

But there is an out flow as well….YOU are to extend grace to others.  You do this by forgiving others.  Giving them a pass when they mess up.  Overlooking some things, especially when you realize it was a mistake and not something that habitually happens.  It needs to flow out of you.  That’s the out flow.

But there is another out flow…

Imagine it like this, when you go to the job interview He gives you grace (favor) so that above all the other candidates you stand out.  But He gives grace to the interviewer as well so that this person sees you as the candidate and they show you favor.  He’s working the grace on both sides of the fence so that the in flow and out flow is happening AT THE SAME TIME!

Have you ever thought or prayed for grace…favor…blessing like that?

Working on both sides at the same time…He pours it on you so that you shine and they favor you.  Then He pours it on them so they are compelled to favor you.

I’m going to give you a real life examples so that you can see how this works.

Several years back I found myself in a court battle with someone.  Have you ever had a situation where someone was coming after you because they were being spiteful?  There was nothing for them to gain by doing it, this was done out of spite. That was the situation.  What they didn’t know is that what I was doing and where I was doing it was what the Lord told me.  Because I didn’t dot all the “I”s and cross all the “T”s they did have a case against me.  Quite frankly I was quaking in my boots because at face value, it appears that I was wrong and there was no way they could lose that case.

So there I was being summoned to court so they could put an end to everything I was doing in that city.

I went online and started looking for an attorney that specialized in that field and found a very big law firm, you know one with 6 last names in the title 🙂

I had no idea what the retainer would be or even what they would charge per hour.  I thought at least I could do a consult and figure out my next steps.

Have you ever picked up the phone to call and the phone doesn’t ring but someone else is on the other end?  That’s what happened.  I called the phone number, it didn’t ring but instead I heard someone on the other end.  It was the lead attorney who happened to pick up the phone AT THE EXACT MOMENT that I was calling in and I was connected without going through the receptionist.

I said hello?  hello? and the person answered.  I thought it was the receptionist so I proceeded to ask for the rates.  She told me the rates, then I said “that’s a lot of money!  And knowing this person they are going to attempt to drain my bank account with attorney’s fees going back and forth so this might not work out for me.  But thank you anyway for your time”.  Then she said who she was and asked “what do you need?”  It was at this point that I realized I was speaking with the lead attorney. I quickly explain the situation. Then she says to me “there’s a case on the books…go to this website, plug in your numbers, it if is this, then you can use the strategy from this case as your reference with the judge and that is all you need to do”. I said “Thank you so very much!”  She gave me the information I needed to win the case in a 5 MINUTE conversation!!!!

You should’ve seen the opposition strutting into court with their chest sticking out from here to New Mexico.

You could tell this prideful strutting posture that said they won before they even opened their mouths!  They were so sure they had me.  Especially when they saw me sitting there alone, with no attorney.

After they presented the case, I handed the paper over to the judge and a copy to their attorney.

You should’ve seen their faces.  You know disbelief?  This strategy was very new so it was like their attorney didn’t even know about this.  They questioned it and the judge then clearly explained what it meant and basically told them “unless you have another reason for being here this case is dismissed, you have no case”.

The person started arguing with the attorney in front of the judge because this was supposed to be a slam dunk for them. You could see the shock on the attorney’s face as he’s trying to figure out how I know this.

There I was trying to look straight ahead and not laugh as I watch from my peripheral view as the chicken chest started deflating!  LOL

James 4:6

“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble”

The grace was not with the judge, the grace was with the attorney that I called.  God put His grace on me that made me bypass the receptionist (who would never have been able to give me that information) and get connected directly with the person who would have the information for me to win.  I’ve spoken to other attorney’s in the area after this incident and they told me they have never heard of this before.  So I had to call her specifically to get it.  Then he puts grace on the attorney to grant me the favor by giving me the information without so much as a consultation fee.

So, it works both ways – in flow and out flow.

This happens when you are doing what the Lord has called you to do.  I didn’t put myself in that position, even though I didn’t do everything perfectly, I was in the place where God sent me.  So, there is NO WAY He would allow them to move me from that place.  I needed to be there for GOD’S PURPOSES and not my own.  So they had to move out of the way and let me continue doing what I was doing. They could not stop it.

If you think of Esther, she was in that palace with many other women and unbeknownst to her, she had a purpose there that had yet to be revealed.  So God, had to put His grace upon her to get her in position to step forward into her purpose when the time was right.  The custodian in charge of the women liked Esther more than the other women so she got preferential treatment.

Esther 4:9

Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance. Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her from the king’s palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place in the house of the women.

You can tell when God’s favor is on you because people start doing things for you that they wouldn’t normally do.

I’m not supposed to do this but…

I’m not normally here on a Saturday but…

I was just getting ready to close this off but…

I’m going to make and exception for you…

I don’t know what it is but I just like you more than the other candidates…

Your offer came in lower than the others but…

There were several applications before yours however…

You went pass the deadline but…

Your credit isn’t perfect but…

I know you were not able to raise the money but… the owner decided they wanted to work with you anyway so let’s rework the numbers and make this work!!!!!!!

Listen!  It’s not gonna make sense ….THAT is why it is called GRACE.  Unmerited Favor….Oh Glory!

This has nothing to do with you being pretty enough.  Rich enough. Smart enough. Educated enough. Well connected enough.  Nah!  If that is what it took, it wouldn’t be called grace.

He’s not doing it because you’re special. No!  He’s doing it because HE’s doing it! And, because whatever “it” is, is a part of His plan and purpose for you.

Esther didn’t do ONE thing to earn it.  Joseph didn’t earn it either…he didn’t even apply for the job! LOL

Genesis 41:33-41

33 “Now therefore, let Pharaoh select a discerning and wise man, and set him over the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. 35 And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities. 36 Then that food shall be as a reserve for the land for the seven years of famine which shall be in the land of Egypt, that the land may not perish during the famine.”

37 So the advice was good in the eyes of Pharaoh and in the eyes of all his servants. 38 And Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?”

39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be over my house, and all my people shall be ruled according to your word; only in regard to the throne will I be greater than you.” 41 And Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.”

The favor was working on both sides of the fence.  It poured out of Joseph and the Pharaoh then favored him for the job.

It’s like the person can’t look away once they meet you!!!

It’s like a magnet that draws people to you.  They don’t even know WHY they want to do for you what they are doing for you.  They are COMPELLED to do it

You know how the world talk about the law of attraction…you don’t need that…you just need God’s grace on your life and it all comes to you!

Now let’s say you prayed for favor and/or grace on something and it doesn’t happen, please do not take this as God rejecting you.  No!  Remember this works 100% of the time when you are walking in purpose.  So if it doesn’t work out, that is not what God has for you.

You are not being rejected, you just haven’t found what God has for you yet.  The minute you step into that the grace is there.  As long as the timing is right, His grace shows up to give you a supernatural edge over whatever it is that you are facing.

~~~~~~~~
We also have the grace of God to overcome sin.  You know some things may require that supernatural empowerment to overcome and by asking God for His grace we can do it
Hebrews 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
We go before the Lord and we ask Him for the grace to overcome and He will give this to us.
Prayer:  Lord grant me Charis, your unmerited favor to accomplish what you have called me to do.  I thank you that this is not earned but granted because of who You are.  I humble myself before You knowing that You will exalt me at the appropriate time. I receive Your grace and I thank you for everyone You will put in my path to extend grace to me. And also for those that I need to extend grace to, in Jesus’ name. Amen
Blessings!
  1. Timely message! Last week I was reading bible verse about Paul and the “thorn in his flesh” is 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, where Paul describes his plea to God to remove it, and God’s response that His grace is sufficient, and His power is shown in weakness. Despite my shortcomings, my weaknesses God’s grace is sufficient to strengthen and help me daily.
  2. I received a prophetic word about doors opening for me to teach in a particular school. There were no jobs open at the time so I waited. Early this year a job opening came up and and I applied. I prayed for favour but last week I received a rejection letter from them, I was a little disappointed and I did wonder if the Lord’s will and purpose for me had ‘changed’ in terms of Him wanting me to go back to teaching. I felt an unexplainable peace as I gave that up to him. I am currently experiencing His grace as I am in transition in all areas of my life. Thank you for this encouraging word.
  3. Thank you so much for this word! Yes, I have experienced this and I’m so grateful for His grace.
    I recently had a situation where I was able to access someone that I should not have been able to access. When I did reach that person they were quite surprised, a bit irritated and annoyed that I had bypassed the protocol…lol.. all I did was call….lol. It was divine and definitely an example of God’s grace and favor. I also had another example of that when I was able to get legal support despite my case not being severe enough for the free service. Right in the middle of the conversation I sensed a shift in the person ‘s response to me and I knew then and there that I would get what I need. Glory!
    GRACE!!❤️❤️❤️
  4. I have had some amazing grace like this operate in my life and realized the key to experiencing this kind of favor is obedience. Spirit asked me to do a few simple things that were totally out of character for me. One example; instead of responding to a pornographic text from a coworker with the anger I felt, Spirit gave me a beautiful personal message for him that really seemed to penetrate his soul. After a series of these small lessons in obedience, I was given a much bigger assignment and moved into a different level of prayer. As I followed the Spirit’s direction everyone assisted me without my asking.
