This prophetic word is titled Cling.
Who is this word for? Everyone. Please pray before you read it so that the Holy Spirit will highlight to you the parts that are specifically for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you feel the shift? The entire church shifted into the new.
The Exodus – a large group of people leaving a place or a situation. The Greek word Exodos, which literally means “the road out.” Exodos was formed by combining the prefix ex-, meaning “out of,” and hodos, meaning “road” or “way.”
It is taking God’s road out of something, somewhere or some place. This is how you know you shifted.
What did you leave behind?
Where did you depart from?
What did you cut off?
What did you close the door to?
Remember now that a shift can be a physical thing but it can also be a mental thing, emotional thing, a change in a heart posture, Moving away from habits, behaviors, mentality, attitudes, heart posture changed towards something If this happened, you shifted, if not, you are still in the old place.
We love hearing about the open door but I was given a vision from the Lord of what it looks like after you decide to step into the new door. The threshold of the door. What happens after you step into the new door. This is what we are going to talk about.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I go into this vision and I see people stepping through the door with Jesus and they were very happy to finally make it into the new place. We’re going to call this new place the unknown because what I saw clearly is that YOU DON”T KNOW ANYTHING about the new place.
It’s like the best kept secret. For some reason this time He decided not to give you any details. You know you’re going somewhere but you don’t know where.
Revelation 3:7
7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
We like to focus on the opening but we never think about the closing, the shutting. WHY we need to shut, or close a door.
There’s a reason the scripture didn’t just talk about opening but it also talked about closing because you can’t actually move forward without closing the old chapter, the old door. Many of us want to move forward but we have our foot holding the door open just a little just in case things don’t go as planned we can go back.
It is like we are TIED to the old place spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally.
This is what it looks like for some of you now…
You just came through the open door and you are on the other side but you have your foot keeping the door open to the old because you don’t want to let it go.
You want to hold on to the old while trying to see ahead to see if it is worth your while to move forward.
The problem is that there is one of you and there is no way you are going to keep your foot in the door while still moving forward. Do you see the dilemma? How afar away from the threshold can you get if your foot is still holding the door open? Not very far. Try it! Put your foot in one door way of your house and let me know if you can get into other rooms of the house without moving your foot. What inevitably happens is you have an entire year go by and realize you are still in the same spot because you are hoping that something is going to change that will allow you to BRING EVERYTHING on the other side of that door (the old) with you. Well, the things that you don’t want to get rid of.
Yes, that is what the problem is. You want it all resolved and tied in a nice bow before you can move forward.
But let me tell you what the Lord is saying, you need to make a choice. What you are waiting on that is on the other side of that door won’t happen so you will need to move on without it or you are stuck at the threshold of your breakthrough.
Let’s go practical so you can understand…
Are you waiting for an apology? It’s not coming
Are you waiting for them to ask you to forgive them? It’s not going to happen, can you forgive them anyway?
Are you waiting for their behavior to change which they have promised you over and over again? It’s not going to change.
Are you waiting for them to call you? They won’t.
Are you waiting for them to visit you? They’re not coming.
Are you waiting for all the stuff to be in order before you move forward serving the Lord? It’s not going to happen.
If you’re still waiting to see how God is going to get your enemies, He may not! Can you move forward with your life without seeing them pay for what they did?
Some of you are waiting for God to tell you why things happened the way they did before you can move forward but that is not going to happen.
The question is, can you move forward without it? Because that is what you have to do. You have to move your foot out of that door and stop trying to keep it open in hopes that things will change. They will not.
YOU are the one that needs to change
The change is coming from you, not them, not the situation.
You are the one that is about to change.
Think about all the people in the bible that had to move forward unresolved. Sometimes in life you won’t get the answers and you need to be OK with that. Can you serve the Lord even though you are still sick?
The bible tells us that His strength is made perfect in our weaknesses, so if you had it all resolved and tied up in a pretty bow He is not going to get the glory because a part of His glory is that YOU were able to do it inspite of the situation you are in.
I’m led to ask you the question again…
What did you leave behind?
Where did you depart from?
What did you cut off?
This is how you know you moved your foot from the door. You no longer have any expectation from what is on the other side of it. If things were going to change, they would’ve changed on the other side of the door. Therefore, the Lord is removing you from that and giving you the opportunity to move forward. Right now.
Let me show you a picture of what I saw on the other side of the door.
Imagine that there are also people that were stuck in all that mess that were clamoring to come through the door too. They were stretching out their hands trying to hold on to you, yelling at you to get your attention so you can open the door and let them in, fully aware that they were not going to be allowed on the other side. So their faces looked worried, concerned, angry, sad and crying all kinds of emotions. And they are mixed in with all the other stuff that represented many different things and aspects of your life.
It was jam packed with STUFF (mental, emotional, financial, physical, behaviors, mindsets, actions, people, places, habits) that God has chosen to cut off from your life. Because they have NO BUSINESS going where you are going.
And as the Lord was pushing the door shut , to keep them/it out, and you are standing at the threshold on the other side with the Lord watching all the junk being closed off, BUT your foot is at the bottom keeping it open just a little bit. Why are you doing that?
Again…
What did you leave behind?
Where did you depart from?
What did you cut off?
It will sound like this, I’ve decided that I will no longer______________________
I decided to let go of ___________________
I’ve decided that I need to ____________________
And, you must follow through because failure to do it means your foot is still in the door.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You need to pray about what you are about to read so that you understand what is for you and what is NOT.
Why doors must be closed
When you put yourself in the story of the Israelites in the wilderness crossing over to the promised land, you will feel what it feels like to let go and leave STUFF behind.
The ones who went into the promised land were 20 years and under. That means they were born in the wilderness, no memories of Egypt. Everything they heard was 2nd hand account from the parents and grandparents, it never happened to them.
That means GOD cut off the voices that were speaking into the past.
You will never move forward if you have people around you that are constantly reminding you of your past.
God allows enough time for change to happen for all of us, but when it doesn’t happen there is a moment when the door is closed. Like Noah and the Ark, when the season shifts, the season shifts. The change needed to happen BEFORE the door closed. Once you realize the door has closed, THE DOOR HAS CLOSED, so you have to move forward even though there are unresolved things. You have to move forward understanding that some of the things you hoped are not going to happen and GOD is moving you forward inspite of it. He didn’t want you to bring it with you, that is why HE closed the door.
There was enough time given and that season is over. There is a finality to this but it requires an internal alignment of your heart and mind. Do you see that? It is one thing to say it but another to actually accept it.
Some of you will end up crying over some things that you will need to let go.
The door has to close because what is on the other side is unbelief. The ones who died in the wilderness died because of unbelief, it wasn’t for any other reason. And when I tell you there is such a thing as transference of spirit, there is such a thing as transference of spirit. If you keep doors open to unbelief, you are gonna reap unbelief because it will attach itself to you. You have the mockers that will stand there and watch, and judge waiting for you to fail. So God will let you leave them on the other side of the door. They do not need to be a part of what God is doing through you.
Mark 5
37 Then Jesus stopped the crowd and wouldn’t let anyone go with him except Peter, James, and John (the brother of James). 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw much commotion and weeping and wailing. 39 He went inside and asked, “Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn’t dead; she’s only asleep.”
40 The crowd laughed at him. But he made them all leave, and he took the girl’s father and mother and his three disciples into the room where the girl was lying. 41 Holding her hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means “Little girl, get up!” 42 And the girl, who was twelve years old, immediately stood up and walked around! They were overwhelmed and totally amazed.
Sometimes God will give you a way or a method of doing something and that is only for you. It is not for anyone else to see or to know that. So you need to close the door.
2 KIngs 4
32 When Elisha arrived, the child was indeed dead, lying there on the prophet’s bed. 33 He went in alone and shut the door behind him and prayed to the Lord. 34 Then he lay down on the child’s body, placing his mouth on the child’s mouth, his eyes on the child’s eyes, and his hands on the child’s hands. And as he stretched out on him, the child’s body began to grow warm again!35 Elisha got up, walked back and forth across the room once, and then stretched himself out again on the child. This time the boy sneezed seven times and opened his eyes!
You need to know when to share and when not to share.
Everyone doesn’t need to know what is going on in your prayer closet. Some things are just between you and the Almighty God. Your spouse doesn’t need to know, your children don’t need to know, your home boys and your home girls don’t need know! It’s just you and the Lord.
Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your inner room, shut your door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. And your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
The REWARDS aka Blessings are what will speak to the fact that you and the Lord have something private happening that no one else knows about.
The fact that you are being sustained during difficult seasons says that there is something between you and the Lord that no one knows about.
Sometimes what you see and what they see is different so you need to close the door. They see a dead end, and you see endless possibilities/opportunity. God gave you a perspective that they don’t have. People will pull you into their negativity if you allow it. So, sometimes you need to close the door in order to preserve the Light that God is showing you instead of falling into the darkness of what they are seeing. You are not the same. Two people can stand next to each other in a church service and one get touched by God and the one right next to them did not. You either move forward or you sit their trying to convince people to see what you see.
Acts 9
39 So Peter returned with them; and as soon as he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. The room was filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other clothes Dorcas had made for them. 40 But Peter asked them all to leave the room; then he knelt and prayed. Turning to the body he said, “Get up, Tabitha.” And she opened her eyes! When she saw Peter, she sat up! 41 He gave her his hand and helped her up. Then he called in the widows and all the believers, and he presented her to them alive.
The door has to be closed to some of your behaviors, attitudes, habits, mindsets that are not in alignment with your calling, mandate and assignment in the Lord. Blessings and curses cannot come from the same mouth. The two things are not compatible and the angels assigned to you to carry out the work of the Lord are waiting for you to step into it and stop acting confused! Are you called or are you not called? We have work to do so you need to close the door.
Galatians 5
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.
Sometimes the blessing that you are coming into is just for YOU so you need to close the door to the idea of who you think you’re going help. I know, I know, you are kind and generous and want to share it with everyone. However, Sigh, sometimes the very reason you have yet to get it is because you are not to give it to some people. It is just FOR YOU. You have to ask the Lord.
2 Kings 4
3 And Elisha said, “Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. 4 Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.”
5 So she did as she was told. Her sons kept bringing jars to her, and she filled one after another. 6 Soon every container was full to the brim!
“Bring me another jar,” she said to one of her sons.
“There aren’t any more!” he told her. And then the olive oil stopped flowing.
7 When she told the man of God what had happened, he said to her, “Now sell the olive oil and pay your debts, and you and your sons can live on what is left over.”
I’m here to tell you that she went and sold those jars of oil, perhaps even poured out the oil into containers of the people who she sold it to and returned the empty jars to her friends and neighbors. Yeah, they got nothing. Why? Because the scripture said she borrowed the jars which means she returned them. The fact that they had the empty jars to give her in the first place means they had no oil in it either!!!
I know, I know. But here me, some of you are not getting what the Lord promised because you haven’t even asked the Lord yet WHO you should be sharing it with. You assumed. When you ask Him and He tells you NO, because the spirit that is on them is not allowed to be in covenant with you, now you have to figure out how to keep quiet about the blessing when you get it.
I’ll say it again, it is a spirit that will transfer. Money forms covenant. You are closing the door to a spirit. Sometimes it is not the person that is the problem but they are under the influence of a spirit, a familiar spirit, monitoring spirit, they have it there in there environment and the minute you open your mouth and told them you come under attack.
Debt is a private and individual thing, so I would venture to say that the widows’ friends and neighbors probably didn’t even know she paid off the debt. She and her sons just kept on living and no one was any wiser to what happened on the other side of that door. They didn’t hear the word, they never catch the revelation, they had no idea why she was borrowing containers or what she did with them.
She closed the door to her MOUTH.
She probably wasn’t driving around in a Lamborghini returning the containers after Elijah left! You get what I am saying? If the Lord tells you they are not to know a big part of this is your figuring out how to live life without showing too much externally.
Sometimes it is a somewhat minor adjustment that will make a major difference.
MOVE your foot from out of the door so you can finally move forward.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, moving into the new one they moved from the door what I saw was a group of people just being released and they were running in all different directions joyfully into what the Lord promised them. When I say JOY was on their faces, I mean JOY was on their faces.
So even though this portion at the threshold is hard because you are making hard decisions here, what comes next is a JOY you have never experienced before when you realize what God has in store for you.
Have you ever seen images of people waiting outside for a Black Friday sale and the doors finally open and they rush in? This is how I saw the people running in all directions full of JOY to receive what God has for them.
I am telling you this so that you know the sadness is temporary that you will feel at the threshold, if you choose it to be so. Once you mourn over it, and move your foot from the door and allow the Lord to truly close the door, WOOOOWEEEEE what comes next is glorious!!!
It is impossible for you to hold the door open with your foot while moving forward. You are either doing one or the other. You can’t do both.
So the ones running I knew had found the strength in the Lord to truly let go and it was evident of the JOY I saw in their faces.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Moving forward for the Israelites required the greatest level of Trust in God because they had no idea where they were going. There was a promise but they have no idea what it looked like…just like you
You will feel scared at times because look at how God spoke to Joshua as they were about to embark on their journey.
Joshua 1
7 Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. 9 This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
The Book of Instruction is the Bible. You are not going to know how to navigate this new season without the word of God. You need to read the Bible, And, it is normal for you to feel afraid at times and be discouraged but you have God and when you read and meditate on the scriptures, day and night, He will begin to show you the next steps.
What I saw was a vision of someone worshipping and the Lord says their worship will unlock the instructions. He is going to show you as you worship and wait on Him.
You will need to CLING. You need to hang on the Jesus like “white on rice”. Clinging to Him like your very life depends on it! Consider it a paradise for the “stage 5 clinger”. So Jesus, what are you doing now? Who are you with? Can I come? What are we doing next? What about this evening? LOL. Blow up HIs phone!! Maybe He didn’t get your last text…text Him again! LOL
What you are getting here is general information and you need to take it, pray into it and ask the Lord for your individual instructions because the instructions are different for every person. When I saw those people enter the land they were running everywhere and various directions. Because He has something different for each one of you.
Cling and don’t let Him go!
Psalm 63:8
“My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me.”
Deuteronomy 10:20
“You shall fear the Lord your God; you shall serve Him and cling to Him.”
Joshua 23:8
“But you are to cling to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.”
Deuteronomy 13:4
“You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.”
That’s it! It’s time to move forward.
Blessings!
