This is the prophetic word for September 2025 and it is based on Ecclesiastes 3.
Who is this word for? Everyone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Lord gave me a scripture and I had to sit and seriously think about what it meant but that led me to read the entire Ecclesiastes 3 and what I realized about this chapter is that while I have read it many times, I never took the time to process each verse as it relates to my life. When I did this, it revealed SO MUCH to me about where I was and what God was doing and where I was going. CLARITY!!!!!!!!! I would imagine this very same chapter could mean something different by next year.
This is the chapter that you would use if you want to know where you are now and what steps you need to take to get to your next place.
So, I’m going to put it below and what I would like you to do is stop at each verse and ask yourself the question, what does this look like in my life right now as it relates to people, habits or behaviors, places or something that He’s doing. Let me tell you, if you just think about each verse, it will paint a picture of your life and bring clarity in ALL areas.
I would recommend writing out your answers. Because for some of these you will really have to think about it because they may not come to mind so quickly and you will need to roll it around in your mind for a some time to see how it applies. Yes, this is the one where you take notes because at the end, based on what you wrote, you will clearly see the roadmap.
I’m going to write notes after each as an example so that you can see the thought pattern you should have. This will help you understand how to process the chapter. But please know that you may get something completely different when you read the verse. After you read this, open the bible and go through it again without my notes and see what comes to you and write your own notes based on your own life. Pray before you start reading and writing your notes.
Ecclesiastes 3
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
It is important for you to know this because you need to discern when the season changed. When the season changes, you need to move into the new, into the next.
2 A time to be born,
And a time to die;
What is God birthing in your life right now? And, what needs to die?
A time to plant,
And a time to pluck what is planted;
In agriculture you plant some things in a season and when the season has ended you have to dig up that crop and plant the crop that grows in the new season. This means that perhaps there are things that worked for you in the past that are just not working anymore. That is because the season has ended so you need to stop working on it. Otherwise, It will feel like toiling because the grace of God has lifted off ot it.
3 A time to kill,
And a time to heal;
What relationships need to die? They are just not good relationships and you need to move away from that. What relationships have been fractured that you need to heal. Who do you need to forgive? Where do you need to reconcile?
A time to break down,
And a time to build up;
There are some people in your life and you need to tell them the truth. Do it kindly and do it gently but the truth needs to be told. There are some people in your life that need your encourage them. Words of encouragement.
4 A time to weep,
And a time to laugh;
Sadness is a normal part of the human experience. It is ok to cry at loss. Give yourself time to greive over a loss. BUT, understand that this should not be your eternal state, at some point you need to move on from your grief and laugh again. So, grieve over what didn’t work out but don’t stay in that place.
A time to mourn,
And a time to dance;
Notice we moved from weeping to mourning and laughing to dancing, this speaks of progression. That means this is for something worse, like mourning over a death (physical death or even a divorce) or something that happened to you in your childhood that stole a part of you that you can never get back. It is OK for you to mourn over this but my goodness don’t stay there. You need to dance. Notice the harder the pain the bigger the celebration. So now you’re not just laughing as in the first part of the verse you are dancing. You celebrate even more depending on how painful or traumatic it was.
5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
This one has to do with building. Something needs to be demolished so you’re throwing away the stones from the building site. The stones in the rubble. God is either telling you to shut down something you’ve been working on or it already happened. Throw away those stones that were used to build it. But don’t worry, He is about to have you build something else in its place. This could be a job ending, ministry ending, you’re leaving your church, could be long term relationship ending but this feels like something that was there for a long time because it is a structure that needed to be demolished. When the right season comes He will begin to build something else in its place and that is when you’ll gather the stones to construct the new building. You cannot build a new building in a spot where a building already exists; hence, you have to demolish and throw away the stones, so that you can gather new stones to build the new.
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
This is letting go. Saying goodbye to what was built before that you just tore down and now you get to embrace what He is bringing in its place. Something new for you to hold on to.
6 A time to gain,
And a time to lose;
There are moments when you gain financially and times when you lose. If you look at the stock market, it is never a straight line. Progress is never a straight line going upwards, it goes up and then it goes down and then it goes up again at a greater degree then it went down. This is life, Zigzagging. It is when you zoom out and look at it that you realize that you actually gained over time. So, zoom out on your life and look at it again. I mean way out, from childhood. I’m sure you gained. You are a child of God, of course you gained!
A time to keep,
And a time to throw away;
There are times when you go out and you buy new things, so you can remodel your house or even get a new wardrobe, a make over. There are times when you need to declutter and give some things away. You can’t just keep adding, sometimes you need to subtract! Downsize. Get rid of some stuff. Declutter.
7 A time to tear,
And a time to sew;
This feels like relationships again but this time you are being the mediator. Could just be praying over a relationship. You need to say something (or pray something) so that relationship or situation can gain some clarity. That will either sew it together or tear it apart. You’re not the one doing it but the clarity gained will cause people to do one or the other.
A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;
This is still talking about the relationship and now you have to say something, not just pray about it. But equally important is not just saying something with kindness and gentleness but knowing the timing of when you need to speak.
8 A time to love,
And a time to hate;
Love what God loves. Hate what God hates. It’s not you, it’s Him that determines this. What are you called to love right now and what do you hate?
A time of war,
And a time of peace.
You do have to wage spiritual war. You are never going to have everlasting peace unless you go to war. This is how it works in the natural and in the spirit. It’s all over the bible. Warfare in necessary at times and so when you are in a spiritual battle, don’t complain. Win it… so you can have peace.
~~~~~~~~~~
You may have processed each verse differently and that is perfectly fine because God is speaking to you about what it means for your life. Next year, if I repost this, I’m sure you will have different answers and you can even look at it compared to what you wrote today. We are not meant to be stagnant. There is the cloud by day and the fire by night which tells us when we need to move.
Here’s what I want you to see, He will never take anything away from you without already having a plan in place to replace it with something better. After all, you deserve the best because you are a son or a daughter of The King.
You can’t plant flowers on top of a patch with potatoes. You can’t build a building in a spot that already has something built there. You can’t want someone to occupy a seat in your life if there is already someone sitting in the seat (physically or in your heart). You can’t properly open a door unless your hands are empty. You can’t receive with your hands closed. You can’t hear the message if your ears are closed to it. You can’t see with your eyes closed. You can’t be silent while you’re still talking. You can’t pour water into a cup that is already full. You cannot pour water out of a cup that is empty. You can’t receive something if you never asked for it.
You never asked.
One has to go in order for the other to come.
The next thing I see is that the only way you can ever be stuck is that you are not following through with the things He has impressed upon your heart to get rid of, to pluck up, to hate, to go to war over… if you just do what He is going to clearly show you in this chapter, you win every time!
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:
Blessings!
Thank you God for the powerful word🙏
Thank you GOD
For the powerful word
I recieved it by Jesus mighty name
I really feel like there is transition in my life. There are some things coming to an end. While reading this, I heard the chorus to “I hope you dance” by Lee Ann Womack. Things are coming to an end, but it’s about to be a celebration as well!
Thank you for this word. Blessings!
