I’ve been praying about marriage for 8 yrs now & particularly for this man I met 2 yrs ago. Although we’ve had no contact for almost half a yr now and though I’ve been praying about it specifically for 2 (both for marriage w/this man but if it not be His will, to remove this deep desire for him to be the one), my feelings for him have been just as strong as the day I met him. He’s the only one that I find myself wanting to live out the “Meaning of Marriage” (T. Keller) & very much marriage vows (for better/worse, poorer/richer, in sickness in health.. until death do us part).
I’ve been meeting other men & trying to be open, but just can’t find the same spiritual, mental, emotional & physical connection as I did with this man. And still, God has not removed this desire. So my request is either He orchestrate this desire into motion/He remove these feelings for him once and for all.
Thank you to anyone who is willing to intercede on my behalf.

The desire to be married is a legitimate request to put before the Lord. He ordained marriage. Meditate on these two verses that will help to put things into perspective: Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord; and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Matthew 6:33 “But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” When we put the Lord first, and His will for our life, then He can move to arrange for the “right one” to meet you. It is not fair to assume that God put this desire for this particular man in your heart. Trust God, because He truly knows and wants what’s best for us.
