I had a dream and it was so real, in my dream I was in a place and everywhere was dark. I was on my knees and my head was bend downward like Daniel in the bible then something hinted me to look up. In front of me was a door open wide and as I raised my head I saw someone’s feet then a red long coat with white under (the white inner was long like the coat) then from no where appeared a very bright light sooo bright I couldn’t see anything. then a woke up. the light I saw in my dream hurt my eyes the whole day. please help me understand.

Wow! It sounds like you had an encounter. The red could be the significance of covered under the blood of Jesus who washes you white as snow which is the color under the red. Then you had an encounter with him. The scripture that comes to mind is
John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
The fact that you eyes hurt the entire day says that you were actually in the heavenly realm and this was actually happening in real time. So you may have actually been in a trance and not a dream.
