This is an audio file of a prayer for autism and also a discussion about autistic and special needs children and their parents.
To give some context, we had a five hour prayer session where the topic was not related to special needs but at the very end when we got to the praise reports someone gave testimony about an autistic 12 year old and this turned the conversation in that direction.
Don’t worry we are not going to force you to listen to 5 hours!
This is significant because a mother of an autistic boy contacted us just 3 days prior asking for prayer. We prayed for her and thought this was enough. However, when the Holy Spirit brought up the subject again to this prayer group it was evident that God was taking out His highlighter and highlighting this subject as something that is currently on His heart and mind.
We feel He is ready to perform miracles in this area. Major breakthrough for many. We also feel that God is calling His church to be more compassionate to people – mothers, fathers, grand parents, brother and sisters – who have someone with autism or special needs in their family.
The audio file is only the portion that shares the testimony, a prayer for autism and special needs and the discussion that followed on how the church should respond. It is 33 minutes long.

If you don’t have an autistic or special needs child, you should still listen to this because your response and reaction when you are around someone with special needs is important.

Prayer for Autism and Special Needs
Father God, we just thank you for children who are facing autism and experiencing sensory overload. We also pray for those who have special needs, children and adults, who may have other things going on in their bodies and mind that they’re not able to control. They are in your hands and you see them, Oh God.
We come against the enemy and any spirit that will want to overwhelm them, in the name of Jesus. We pray for freedom in their spirits to be who you called them to be. We pray for healing in their bodies, mind, soul and spirit. Where there’s any deficiencies that you make up the deficiency Father God that you fill them up Lord God with your healing virtue. We thank you that by Jesus’ stripes they are healed.
We call out any spirit of infirmity or sickness or weakness in their bodies and even this spirit of delay, in the name of Jesus. We sent it back to dry places from whence it came. Even
the challenges that they are having in this world, Lord, we pray You make every crooked road straight, in the name of Jesus. We declare healing over our children with challenges. We pray Lord God that the body of Christ would accept and embrace our children the way You accept and embrace our children. Our love is truly on trial – can we love those who maybe don’t fit the framework of what we think people should be? Help us Lord God to see people as people and to love them with the heart and the compassion that Jesus Christ has for us.
Father, we thank you that even that our children and adults with special needs are still be useful in the kingdom. We thank you Father God that for your word that says train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it. We pray that their giftings would come forth, in the name of Jesus.
We pray that the body of Christ would recognize that where there is a deficiency You make up the gap in other areas. Thank you for their superior intelligence and the true gift that they are from you – a gift to this world. Thank you, Oh God, for their enhanced ability to love us even when Your people don’t show the love of Christ towards them and acceptance towards them. Cover them Lord and shelter them from rejection and fear.
Lord God, in the name of Jesus, encourage and strengthened the hearts and minds of the parents and care givers that are raising children that are having challenges, whatever they may be. Father we pray that you give them wisdom on how to raise these children that are truly a gift from God . Give them the wherewithal and whatever is needed to raise your children to bring out the best in these children so that they will be able to fulfill your purpose for their life.
We ask, Lord God, that Your body will see these children with eyes of love, eyes of caring, eyes of patience and develop us in the fruit of the Spirit. Help us to examine our own fruit and prune us so that we will bear much more fruit.
Father we abide, remain, habitate in your vine, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray.

Please help me to pray for my grandson Amir who’s turning 9 years old in March and he has autism. He wasn’t born with it , he had a booster shot when he was 2yrs. old, an he started progressing backwards. And now he hasn’t talked in almost 6yrs. He tries to say words and I’m just believing and declaring God’s promises that Amir will talk, in Jesus name Amen…..
Please pray for my son. He is 36, no means of support, no health insurance. He needs a breakthrough.
As an Autistic I pray for total acceptance and understanding of our Disability and Neurological diversity. To know that Autism is our Neuro Type and that our problems come from Co-occurring conditions that we are born with as well. I thank G-d for making me this way and ask him to open peoples hearts to us to know you don’t make mistakes and hate is a sin. Amen!!
Asking you to join in prayers for our 12 year old son Levi has austistic tendencies and I don’t know what to do with his outbursts his dad is gone all the time and I am so tired.
Please pray for my son Tom, he has autism and his only hobby seems to be computer games. Please pray that he will find more and more interests outside screens and a love of the outdoors and that we will find support
Please pray for my wife Malicca and son Tyric, who suffer with autism, I’m trusting God for their deliverence and that I will continue to pray for them and call out their name before the Lord. Pray for my strength in the Lord.
Zacarias Williams is 2 years old was diagnosed this year with autism keep him in prayer the Lord we serve will show the medical system that his supernatural power will heal and will heal not only him but those who are dealing with challenges because of this spirit. My grandson Kenneth Owens is 19yrs old was diagnosed with ADHD but we have seen the power of prayer move in his life, keep him in prayer as well that there be no lingering residue from this spirit.

Please pray for my eight year old daughter Grace-Roli. She has just been diagnosed as being autistic. I am believing God for her complete deliverance and healing, that she will not miss out on God’s plans and purposes for her life, that she will know His abundant provision and restoration in all areas of her life, for His immense mercy, compassion and grace to prevail in her life. That she would continually soak in His amazing love and His abiding presence. That his glory would always fill her life. Please pray for my nephew max his 9 and has apraxia and autism. I pray God heels him, that he can speak clearly and make his thoughts clear. That god places godly people in his life to guide his path and provide the services he needs at home in school. That his parents have wisdom and intelligence to guide their son. Good day, please pray for our 10 year old grandson Eden, we live in South Africa and our daughter her husband and Ethan emigrated to US 9 years ago. Ethan was one year old at the time and has been diagnosed with Apraxia and Autism a few months after arriving in US. I had a conversation with my daughter today and she cried and really opened up with me about how she is being used as a punch bag by Ethan when he has an aggression outburst. We are a bible believing family and all the healing promises of Jehovah Rapha our Healer. Please, please prayer for Ethan. Further tests and investigations are taking place right now for suitable treatment. We would not like him to take medication for aggression. Please pray for the parents and Ethan’s 7 year old sister. By the stripes of Jesus Ethan is healed.🙏🙏🙏Pray for complete healing.

Please pray for my son Angel. I became Christian in 2001 and have raised my kids in the Christian church since. Angel is now 17 and diagnosed autistic. I knew something was different from about 6 months. After receiving vaccinations, all of a sudden he couldn’t give me eye contact and couldn’t keep still. I would count how many seconds before he would move again. He didn’t speak until about 5, but unclear, broken sentences. He has always struggled in school as comprehension is his challenge. Today, he speaks in sentences and can communicate, but struggles with social skills, comprehension, and speech clarity. He recently expressed his frustration with himself and how others treat him. That he doesn’t have any friends, but has always wanted one. He likes watching scary movies and says he wears black now and keeps to himself so he looks scary and makes others feel the way they make him feel. I told him this is not what God wants and that he’s wonderfully and perfectly made by our loving father. We prayed together and he said he felt the darkness leaving him. Please pray continued protection over my family and Gods miraculous healing for my son, in the mighty name of Jesus. I claim the healing promises of God by faith.
