I saw snakes including a large black adult one stretched out straight on the hay/straw on the ground/floor inside a chicken coop and also a fast baby snake darting about near the chicken’s waterbowl. I did not see any chickens but then I saw three cats, including my two pet cats and they were all the same breed – Birman’s – which have cream fur, chocolate points with short white socks on each paw and blue eyes) inside the chicken coop, chasing, hunting and pouncing with both front paws on the snakes that seemed to be living/hiding in the hay. The snakes were striking at and also biting, sinking their fangs into the cats repeatedly but I was amazed to see that the cats didn’t seem to be affected. I checked one cat’s breathing because she was just laying there inside the chicken coop with snakes biting her but she was fine and got up and was walking around.
