I’m helping my dad repair a race car. The driver is known for his speed and wins lots of races, but he is now wanting to show that he has longevity too, that he can win really, really long races too. He was using this car to practice and the bottom half is melted. It looks like the car was dipped in something molten, but my dad is going to work on it anyway. He gets a crowbar to pry open the trunk to get some tools out when I feel something move in my left, upper arm. In the area where you’d be given a vaccine. Oddly, in a previous dream I recall being bitten by a bug, but the rest of the dream didn’t stay with me. Now in this dream, where I was bitten, I look at my arm and there’s a huge bump, like the size of a golf ball and I am suddenly panicked and disgusted. I can feel some insect moving under my skin. I get my dad’s attention. I’m not screaming, but I’m really upset. I’m holding the bump, thinking I don’t want the bug to go deeper, I want it to come out. My dad is completely calm and not very concerned and says something like “if you don’t know how to fix it, go see a doctor”. He just wants to get to work on the car and wants me to do what I need to do. I’m paralyzed with fear – standing there staring at him wide-eyed, holding this bump, feeling the bug move under my skin, and I wake up.
