Woke up from a horrible dream. I dreamed that I was either at work at a meeting in a cafeteria- like room, either at a staff meeting or some type of professional development meeting. I remember sitting with a group of people…don’t recognize the people but it was as if I knew them because we were sitting together. There was one teacher (white) who it seemed to have returned, either from a long break or leave and we were greeting her, and asking others if they remembered her. She resembled a teacher that I currently work wit – Ms. Bartlett. There were some new people there as well…I remember this black guy who was new who came and introduced himself to me and shook my hand. A few minutes later I was talking with the black girl sitting across from me (I think she had on pink) and for some reason she resembled my sister Cheryl (not sure if it was her there- she didn’t look like her in the dream but the conversation sounded like I was speaking to my sister). I asked her to hand me something and at first she handed me the wrong thing, then I asked her again to hand me the specific thing I asked for, which I don’t remember what I asked for. However I begin to apply face soap on my face and then excused myself to go to the bathroom to wash my face. As I was getting up, I locked eyes with the new guy and he saw me with my face being covered in white soap. I walked first to the paper towel dispenser to get some paper towels. The first paper towel I pulled was dirty so I pulled a couple more that were clean and threw the dirty one away. I begin to go to the bathroom and as I’m entering in I notice another black girl in there, she had just entered one of stalls. I began washing my face at the sink and drying it. Afterwards I noticed my shoes (they were flats) had slipped into the stall where the girls was (I had used the sink that was directly in front of where she had gone into) Now, I never remembered taking off my shoes and not sure why they were off (disgusting). However, I used my feet to scoop them from underneath the stall, while telling her excuse me and apologizing for the disturbance because I wasn’t sure how my shoes got in there. We both laughed. I had to struggle to put my shoes on though. they wouldn’t just slip on as normal. I tried to wiggle my feet back and forth to try to put them on, but eventually had to use my finger as a shoehorn and get them on. Then I remember looking in the mirror at how clean and clear my face was and my hair/long curls were popping…I saw royal blue – not sure if that’s the color shirt I had on. I then proceeded to fix my clothes, like pull up my pants (weird because I didn’t go to the bathroom, just washed my face). While I’m doing this, the girl came out of the stall she was in. I think i either had on light khaki tan crop dress pants or yellow…. I saw yellow and believed also that the girl that came out of the stall had on yellow too; I believe. There was another girl that was in there as well, but not sure when she entered. I remember her having on black and red dress. It was as if we were all about to exit the restroom when we started hearing screams and what sounded like gunshots. I kind of ran to the back of the restroom to gauge what it was where it was coming from. That’s when we realize that there was a shooting and it sounded like it was coming from the room where we had just left, where everyone was gathered…in the large cafeteria type room. We kinda of gathered around each other and tried to figure out where to hide. It seemed like I was trying to direct them (give directions of what to do, remembering all the practice drills we had at school). I then remember I’d left my phone in the meeting room, so couldn’t alert the authorities. I started going into strategic mode to keep us safe, but Then I woke up and prayed to cancel the dream…first in my natural language and then in tongues. I remember being afraid (naturally do), but was calm as I was trying to figure out how best to stay hidden and safe.

Your dream is very detailed. I’ve always found that the longer one’s dreams are the more soulish they are..the shorter the dream, usually the more prophetic.

I see in your dream a lot of common symbols; washing one’s face, bathroom, shoes…

When I think of ones face/countenance, I think
of one’s heart (ie eyes being the window to the soul etc). You were washing your face, there was some much-needed personal cleansing going on. You were in a bathroom with stalls. The bathroom represents a place to relieve oneself as well as cleanse. Because there were stalls there are either different phases of cleansing needed OR different areas in your life that need to be cleaned/washed.

Also, the shooting could be literal active shooter or hostile situation or word curses, etc. Guns, like arrows, are weapons and I immediately think about weapons of our warfare are not carnal (2 Cor 10:4) or the sound of a weapon may represent a message or negative words (ie words against you/slander). I say this because in various points of history (even in Bible days), arrows for example were used to send messages, etc.

I would say your dream encourages you to guard your heart against offense or people attacking you with words, especially at the job. There may be some people or one or two who remind you of family or could be a close confidant but be wary and cautious. When you hear of negative words against someone or even hear about yourself, don’t take it to heart or let it affect you. Follow peace with all men as much as it’s in your power to do so, and don’t carry the nonsense or mess so to speak. Also, in the event that there could be an active shooter situation, pray a prayer of protection over yourself and your workplace. Hope this helps.
      Blessings
