Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am a mental health advocate who has healed substantially from three severe disorders. I (and countless others) am living proof that healing is ALWAYS possible. Lives are precious and sacred.

In March 2027, unfortunately and tragically, the Government of Canada is planning to expand “medical assistance in dying” (MAiD) to include those suffering from “mental illness”. It will be included in Canadian law. As we know, our lives are invaluable and priceless, created by our Sovereign and Incredible God. The length of life and timing of death are not up to us to decide. This is in God’s Hands. We must always hold on to the sanctity of life,

There is hopeful news. Bill C-218 is a private member’s bill in Canada (brought forward by the opposition) that is trying to stop this expansion. On October 7, 2026 (this coming week), a vote will be held in the Canadian Parliament to determine whether Bill C-218 is sent to committee for further study.

The solution is NEVER to allow the choice of “death over life”, but to put all our efforts into improving broken mental health care systems (increased funding and accessibility, parity with physical illness, defeating stigma, increasing acceptance and empathy, etc.) so that they are more effective, efficient, and successful in encouraging and motivating sufferers to seek immediate help, welcoming them into places of warmth and care with open arms. This leads to healing, recovery, and a bright future for all sufferers, and as they thrive, they will then help others who are struggling. The key is to create a more welcoming, accepting, and empathetic system that fosters whole healing, restoration, and the sanctity of life. I (and countless others) have proven that healing happens. With love, faith, and support comes healing, hope, and purpose beyond anything imaginable.

Please pray that the hearts and minds of all members of the Government of Canada (Senators and Members of Parliament) are convicted by the Holy Spirit to vote in favour of Bill C-218, so it goes forward to committee for further study. May this extremely important Bill be taken very seriously so that it continues to be supported (and voted for), becoming an official law that permanently stops the expansion of MAID in Canada.

Also pray that all leaders in the Government of Canada (and all leaders worldwide) come to know, believe, and trust in Jesus Christ as their Saviour, King, Lord, and God, through all of this. That they are convicted by the Holy Spirit and find Salvation in Jesus Christ, leading to Eternal Life in God’s Heavenly Kingdom. May they surrender their lives to our Incredibly Loving God and lead their countries according to God’s Will, which is centred on love, hope, peace, forgiveness, and so much more.
