My wife was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 7 or 8 years ago, and a few months ago with rapid cycling bipolar disorder. We have been married for almost 18 years and have four children, ages 14–8. She came out to me three years ago as bisexual and earlier this year as a lebian. We have been best friends from the first time we went on a date to now, and we have always had a healthy sexual life, even after she came out to me. She struggles with extreme sexual and church trauma from her childhood. Now she has self-diagnosed autism.
Back in the spring, a switch flipped (I watched it happen), and she is now a different person. She has no physical contact or intimacy with me, struggling to connect with the kids and appreciate them. She feels “trapped” in our life as a mother, and in our marriage. I watch her constantly rewrite the narrative of the last 18 year. She has estranged herself from her parents and from God. She wants nothing to do with either one.
She is medicated, but I don’t believe that they have that correct yet. She started trauma therapy last week, but she doesn’t believe that her trauma is having any affect on any of this. I have watched her unresolved trauma over the years drive her into this place.
God laid it on my heart to be Hosea and remain faithful by her side. I love my wife and will not go anywhere.
Please pray for a miracle to restore our marriage and our family. Pray that God will break the confusion and Delusions in her mind.

Gracious, loving, and faithful Father, I lift up Shawn’s wife and pray in agreement with him that she be restored to your original design for her identity and life. I pray for your mighty and outstretched hand to do what only you can do. I ask for mercy and that Shawn’s wife be granted repentance. I pray her eyes be opened, the veil removed and that the delusions, deceptions, distractions, and distortions be cut off, renounced, and removed. I pray her pain, trauma, and wounds be healed and that she may be freed. May her eyes, heart, mind, and soul be turned back to you, and may your grace be sufficient for her. Lord, we know you have plans and purposes for her and we thank you that your arm is not too short to save or your ear too dull to hear. I pray for a miracle and that Shawn’s marriage be redeemed and restored for your glory and their good. I pray for protection over the minds, hearts, and souls of their children and that the blood of Jesus covers this family and cleans and purifies them. Jesus, you are the way, and the truth and the life, and the good shepherd so we pray Shawn’s wife turns back to you and makes you Lord. In Jesus name, Amen.
Nehemiah 9:17b
But You are God, Ready to pardon, Gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, Abundant in kindness, And did not forsake them.
