I believe that your dream depicts things…. perhaps spiritual attacks or secret sin that us lurking in your life. This being at night as you are preparing to go to bed communicates in the secret/what no one knows. And the few in the kitchen, then many in your bedroom again communicates that there is something in the secret/behind closed doors/in your private life that is there.

“Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. You said your late husband. I’m not sure if he is still with you? But the significance of him communicates to me spiritual leader or authority. The fact that he is the one fighting/killing them again communicates that. This could symbolize that he (if he is still with you) needs to lead and partner with you in dealing with whatever is there. Or if he in no longer with you, this could symbolize you spiritually husband (Christ), and you need to call in and submit to Him and His authority and protection of you as He deals with wherever is there. If your husband is with you I honestly believe both are true.

“But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.” ~‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭11:3‬ (‭NKJV‬‬)

This is not about control or your prayers not being strong etc. It’s simply about spiritual authority. Just as the head of Christ is God yet in the Trinity they are equal and treat each other with mutual respect, so it is with a husband and wife.
