I was in church and I see one of the male young adults gathering a couple of Walmart bags from a table. The bags had treats and goodies inside. He then gives me a large, single red rose. He wants his mom to take a picture of us, as I pose next to him with this rose. I reluctantly take the photo, as it feels a little awkward. I don’t make a big deal about it, but give the young man his photo, since he wants it.

In real life, this young man could be my little brother. He’s so pure hearted and genuine, yet seems a little naive to me. He’s passionate and on fire for God. I often catch him staring at me and it seems he makes excuses to be around me or near me, even when I’m around others.
