My husband has been having an emotional affair with multiple women. I love my husband and I believe him when he says he loves me. When he says that this has stopped and will not happen again. He apologized and said it wouldn’t happen again. We were both heavily involved in our church but he has stepped down and has not attended since I found out about the affair. We talked about this, we are now praying and talking about our marriage but I am concerned. I have no idea who I can talk to, he feels we can talk between each other. I can’t put my finger on it the feeling that I have. Please pray for us for our direction.

      Hello Mrs N,
I am glad you and your husband are believers first and foremost, and clearly servants in the kingdom. Often times, the enemy will attack you anyway he can, to sidetrack you from impacting the kingdom.
My personal advice to overcome (like i shared with someone else) is by abiding more in your first love, and that is our Lord. Once you shift your focus to the Lord,(Our expectations, fulfillment, satisfaction, joy etc can only be met by God, and not our spouses) so i pray you put your hopes more into Him, who is going to do the work of transformation in your marriage. He will start healing the hurt you have experienced, shall start removing those roots of bitterness that are taking hold in you. So start being genuinely thankful for everything, including your husband. Love conquers all, it is the ultimate antidote for pretty much everything.
Then start sowing seeds of truth. God’s Word shall not return to Him void. His Word will sprout and take root eventually, where it has been sown.
Avoid any condemnation and judgement toward him, only God can judge and convict him. The peace that surpasses all understanding will start dwelling in you.
Pray for the Lord to put a hedge of thorns around your husband, and continue to dwell in Him more, meditate on His word, He shall work everything together for good eventually, according to His will.

I will stand with you in prayer too. God bless you and your marriage.

      Philippians 4:6-7Amplified Bible (AMP)
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].
