Dream of leaving iron on

I went into sitting room. Noticed scold marks on a light cream carpet.
My husband was getting ready to use iron for his business shirt but i noticed it was still plugged in and underneath carpet. I unplugged it but did not mention that i may have accidently left it on. It was A rented house and I was concerned it may have damaged floor.
