I was walking by a mirror with a friend. I had a very short haircut. I wasn’t sure if I liked the cut. I put my hand in my hair and there was oil on my left hand. I was like I’ll go home and fix it to my liking. I felt like, I can work with this.

You have a new outlook (short hair) on life. I believe this has to do with your destiny and whatever it is your seeing, way you are thinking right now is new. It appears you are anointed to do whatever this new epiphany/wisdom is.
