Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In Canada, unfortunately and tragically, the government is planning to allow “Medical Assistance in Dying” for mental illness alone in March 2027. It will be included in Canadian law. Bill C-218 is a private bill in Canada that is trying to “stop MAID for mental illness alone”.

Over the months, there will be debates and votes happening in the Canadian Government. I am a mental health advocate who has healed substantially from three severe disorders that nearly destroyed me. I am living proof that healing is ALWAYS possible. We can never allow a law that will tell sufferers that giving up is okay. This is not okay! Lives are precious and sacred. A law like this creates despair and only adds to the suffering in our society.

We must always hold on to the sanctity of life, as our lives are invaluable and priceless, created by our Sovereign and Incredible God. The length of life and timing of death are not up to us to decide. This is in God’s Hands.

Please pray that Bill C-218 becomes a law that stops MAID for mental illness alone in 2027. The solution is NEVER to allow the choice of “death over life”, but to put all our efforts into improving broken mental health care systems (increased funding and accessibility, parity with physical illness, defeating stigma, increasing acceptance and empathy, etc.) so they are more effective, efficient, and successful in encouraging and motivating sufferers to seek immediate help, welcoming them into places of warmth and care with open arms. This leads to healing, recovery, and a bright future for all sufferers. The key is to create a more welcoming, accepting, and empathetic system that fosters whole healing, restoration, and the sanctity of life. The health, well-being, safety, care, and lives of every citizen must always be a top priority.

The road to recovery and healing may be long and arduous at times, but obstacles are stepping stones to greater success, and all roads to recovery exemplify courage, bravery, and resilience. This creates a positive ripple effect in society and encourages other sufferers to yearn for the same, to want to transform their lives and find a brighter future where they can then help others who are struggling.

I (and countless others) have proven that healing happens. With love, faith, and support comes healing, hope, and purpose beyond anything imaginable. Again, please pray that Bill C-218 is taken very seriously and is passed as a law that stops MAID for mental illness alone from happening in Canada.
