I had a very vivid dream last night about a friend, let’s call her Sophie and her brother. In the dream, a woman had been brutally murdered and I was part of the team investigating the case. Fast forward and we catch the killer and he was revealed to be Sophie’s younger brother who we brought to the jail cell. His name was very clear in the dream and unmistakable and so was Sophie and her husband’s name and face.

Sophie came with her husband to talk to her brother and ask him why he did it, and she started to cry, so I began to comfort her. While I was comforting her, Sophie told me that her brother met the girl on her wedding day a year ago, and had killed her that night. Her brother heard this and became quite angry and lunged at her, before sobbing uncontrollably before trying to strangle himself. Then I woke up.

—I have had dreams before that I have been able to interpret, but never anything like this. Any help you can provide will be appreciated!

      Hello SG,

Thank you for sharing your dream with us. Please take everything that I share to the Holy Spirit as He Alone gives the accurate interpretation.

I believe that this dream has two levels of interpretation. It may have some literal and metaphorical components. The literal needs to be prayed seriously about depending on the mental and social wellbeing of the individuals involved and may be one of intercession and intervening physical to prevent anything untoward as displayed in the dream from happening.

The metaphorical component may be some character assassination that might be happening. Claim Jeremiah 54:17 on behalf of the parties mentioned in the dream. I believe that the Sword of the Spirit, one of the weapons of the Armour of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) is the way to win this battle for all parties involved.

      Shalom!
