I was alone in my house (which looked EXACTLY like it does in real life, every detail). It was late in the night so I was turning off all the lights in my kitchen/dining/living room area, about to go to bed. As I turn to walk past my back(sliding glass) doors (which don’t have curtains). I saw in the dark, a big male lion creeping slowly up my back yard stairs onto the balcony and toward my doors . He scared me. He was hunting/stalking me. He came right up to the door and stared at me. I was afraid of him trying to get inside because he would eat me. I was so thankful that I knew that door was locked and he couldn’t get in. He started pacing up and down looking for ways to get in.
I suddenly had this horrible thought that maybe my down stairs door was opened. I panicked. I had to go check. I finished turning off all the lights so he couldn’t see me and snuck off down my internal stairs, the lion didn’t notice.
Once downstairs at my other back door, I had to carefully open up the main door to check if the screen door was locked.
The lion heard me and came charging fast down the stairs to get me.
I was wrestling the lion for a long time trying with all my strength to keep it out whilst trying to pull the doors back shut. At one point he got his paw in and scratched my arm but it didn’t hurt. After a while it started to get just its head in enough through the crack.
Immediately I grabbed his big pointy fang teeth with my hands. I held a fang in each hand. I was so strong I was actually able to hold his mouth wide open and leave it open so he could not hurt me or get in the house like it desperately wanted to.
      That’s how it ended.

      Hello Sarah,

Thank you for sharing your dream with us. Please take everything that I share to the Holy Spirit as He Alone gives the accurate interpretation.

Here’s are some rhetorical questions for you: (feel free to respond if you wish but you don’t have to)
Do you think that the lion represents the Lion of Judah or the enemy?
What is the rationale for your response?

In addition, the dream pertains to something/issue/incident happening in your life right now or at least when you had the dream.

      Shalom

      Thank you!
I believe it was the enemy, because I was afraid of it and knew it definitely wanted to hurt/kill me if it got to me. I knew I was it’s prey.
I am a born again Christian and have been brought up in a Christian home since I was a baby. I love God and his word and actively live according to his will for my life. So this dream has me puzzled. I had this dream about 4 months ago yet I still haven’t been able to fully work out it’s meaning. There has been no real significant evidence in my life of such attacks? So I thought I would reach out for others interpretation.

      Hello Sarah,

Thank you for your response. Please take everything that I share to the Holy Spirit as He Alone gives the accurate interpretation.

I didn’t feel from your initial post that the lion was the enemy but I could be wrong. Could it be the Lion of Judah trying to deal with something from your past? Is there something/issue/incident that God has been trying to deal with you about?
The wrestling match reminds me a bit of Jacob wrestling with the Angel of the Lord in Genesis 32:22-32. Perhaps, you might have been wrestling with God about something.

You mentioned that you felt fear and that you were the lion’s prey. Well, sometimes, God will pursue us and there is a Holy Fear associated with that but in the dream language it comes across exaggerated. Think of Aslan.

The only other thing that came to mind was that the lion could represent pride in some shape or form trying to sneak in and that you are wrestling with. May the Holy Spirit give you clarity in Jesus’s Almighty Name I pray, Amen!

      Shalom!

In addition, you might have been asking about wisdom about something and the Lord wants you take hold of Him for that.

      Shalom!

Wow okay, you’ve really given me a lot to think about! I didn’t even really consider the lion could be good simply because I was afraid of it. So I alway just tried to intersperse using the negative. But what you’ve said actually dose much more sense in my life.
Can I ask which parts made you feel it was the lion of Judah, was it because it scratched me yet didn’t hurt me?
Thank you so much for your time!!

      Hello Sarah,

Thank you for the additional comments/questions.

First and foremost, dream interpretation belongs to God as Joseph and Daniel attest to in the scripture. I usually say that Biblical dream interpretation can be employed by 99% of the Holy Spirit’s guidance/revelation and 1% acquired skill. I do believe that there is value in learning (skill) the various meaning of dream symbols (e.g., objects, colour, numbers, etc.). However, one must ALWAYS filter it through the Holy Spirit as these symbols may have positive and negative meanings depending on the context in the dream.
These are my personal thoughts/statistics. The main point is that accurate Biblical dream interpretation can be achieved by being anointed with the gift and Isaiah 11:2

Second, having made the above disclaimer(s), I’ll proceed to attempt to answer your question.
First, it was a feeling/revelation if you will, but I wasn’t quite sure. I really wanted you to reflect, hence my original rhetorical questions. Second, some of the imageries like I mentioned, reminded me of the Jacob’s wrestling match. The “pawing” could be either negative or positive. Meaning it could be the enemy pawing at you but you won’t be harmed or it could be indeed the Lion of Judah pawing at you without any injury. So, since the act of the lion in your dream could represent either the Lion of the tribe of Judah or the enemy, one needs discernment to accurately interpret it.

Context matters significantly in dreams and the meaning of symbols may change from personal dreams and even one individual may have symbols mean something different in different dreams as one advances, especially if dream is a language that God’s speaks primarily through secondary to the Bible of course. In addition, the same symbols and might mean something else in other individual dreams. The fact that you grabbed hold of its fangs was what sort of made me think that you need to grab hold of God’s wisdom regarding something that He might have been speaking to you about as teeth can sometimes represent wisdom in dream language. You definitely don’t want the enemy’s wisdom, lol! I hope that my explanation helps.

Please take everything that I have stated above back to the Holy Spirit as He Alone gives the accurate interpretation.

      Shalom!
