This prophetic word is titled Forfeiting Heaven. I came up with a few other titles but decided this one was the best.
Who is this word for? Everyone.
Generally, when we hear the same message more than once through different sources who are not connected to each other we say it is a confirmation that the word is true. Sometimes it is, and other times the second and third time we hear it there may be a new revelation that God is bringing out.
This is why when you go to church and the pastor starts talking about a subject you’ve heard many times before, try not to zone out. God could be peeling back a layer on the onion and revealing a new revelation on the same scripture.
This happened to me this past Sunday at church. And this message was so impactful that it has skipped ahead of all the other prophetic words that I have to share with you to become the most important one for all of us today.
If I said to you, you may actually be forfeiting heaven would you think that was true or not? You would probably say it’s not true because you received Jesus as your Savior and that is all you need to get to heaven. OK, hold on to your hat until you get to the end of the post and then you can decide if you’ve forfeited heaven or not.
So, about 2 weeks ago the Lord impressed upon me that I needed to pray for the body of Christ about the subject of unforgiveness. Not forgiveness but unforgiveness. When we hear forgiveness, we think of Christ forgiving us for our sins. Unforgiveness is when we refuse to forgive.
I set about praying over this with a group for a couple days and I felt a release in my spirit about it. Then I went to church last Sunday and the pastor is talking about forgiveness again. I thought to myself OK God is making the rounds with this message.
I’ve heard it before, but I was trying not to tune it out too much in case some new revelation comes forward that I never considered.
This is the new revelation.
The pastor goes through the same thing we all know, which is that unforgiveness blocks your blessings. Yep, I think we all know that one already (Matthew 5:23-24).
Then he shares this scripture which most of us have already read this one too… Matthew 6:9-15.
We all know the Lord’s prayer… forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Yeah, yeah, we know it.
Well, the scripture is conditional. Most of us only see that He’s forgiving us our sins, we don’t see that the sins are only forgiven if we forgive others. No, that part we leave out.
Then verse 14-15 is where I stopped and the layers of the onion began to peel back
14 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. 15 But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.
The pastor continued his sermon and I was stuck on verse 15. I started to reason with this one.
If you refuse to forgive others (unforgiveness), your Father will not forgive your sins (you’re still carrying your sins).
Then I thought to myself, the only reason one person goes to heaven and the other does not is that one has their sins forgive and the other one does not. The message of the gospel is that Jesus came and died for our sins, we accepted the forgiveness of our sins as a free gift of God, and therefore we go to heaven.
You see heaven is a pure and holy place. There is no sin in heaven. This is why you can’t go to heaven with your sins. Apart from the blood of Jesus there is no remission of sins (Hebrews 9:22). However, this scripture is saying that if you do not forgive someone else you are still carrying your sins. Did you catch that? Therefore, if you are still carrying your sins you cannot go to heaven. You basically forfeit heaven when you have unforgiveness.
I sat there for a moment, thinking about this. Kind of stunned that I had never heard it taught like that before. But this is where I got to with reasoning with this scripture while the pastor went on to teach the usual message.
Unforgiveness is a trap door to hell. You can go to church all you want. Fast and Pray. Tithe. Live a pure and holy life as much as you can. If you have unforgiveness you can’t be going to heaven because God never forgave you and you are still carrying your sins.
Then I thought to myself, this feels harsh. Then I tuned back into the pastor and he’s now sharing this verse
23 “Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him. 24 In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars.25 He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold—along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned—to pay the debt.
26 “But the man fell down before his master and begged him, ‘Please, be patient with me, and I will pay it all.’ 27 Then his master was filled with pity for him, and he released him and forgave his debt.
28 “But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars. He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment.
29 “His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time. ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it,’ he pleaded. 30 But his creditor wouldn’t wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full.
31 “When some of the other servants saw this, they were very upset. They went to the king and told him everything that had happened. 32 Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said, ‘You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me. 33 Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’ 34 Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt.
35 “That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.”
And it completely confirms my train of thought.
The King forgives the sins of His servant (that’s you and me).
The servant then decides they don’t want to pass on the same forgiveness to someone else (unforgiveness)
The King then says ok, I’m taking back the forgiveness I gave to you and sending you to torture (hell)
35 “That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.”
Then I realized that this wasn’t “harsh” it was the TRUTH.
I have to tell you that I am not one that believes you can lose your salvation. Because I believe people who lose their salvation were never saved to begin with. This verse speaks of forfeiture. You actually choose not to forgive someone. This was a conscious decision.
I just believe most Christians walking in unforgiveness don’t understand that they forfeited heaven. If that’s you, then you are one accident or natural disaster or nuclear bomb away from hell. I know it sounds harsh but that is the truth. Read the scriptures again and meditate on it.
How to forgive things that are hard to forgive.
Now that we are on the same page with this topic, the enemy then only has one job…bring the offense. Our world is so divisive, so the offense is not that hard to come by. The enemy is on a quest to make sure we all end up in hell, by forfeiting heaven.
Did you know you can have unforgiveness towards someone you don’t even know? Unforgiveness for something that wasn’t even done to you but done to someone else? If you’re wondering who is in the photo, it doesn’t matter. By next month it will be the photo of someone else…that you still don’t know. That did something to someone else and not you personally. This is how the enemy works. I could keep putting up photos and eventually I’m going to hit one that will affect you. Even though you are a good Christian, and you love the Lord you can still have unforgiveness. You’re just walking along minding your own business and the next thing you know you fell into this hole of unforgiveness. Out of nowhere here comes another one!
Unforgiveness towards organization, groups of people, tribes, people of a different race, gender preference, even people of a particular profession? Unforgiveness towards someone who chose a different path that you did.
The fastest way to unforgiveness is to be way too involved with the media, entertainment, music and social media. These are all vehicles the enemy uses to draw you in to a fight that doesn’t even involve you personally.
It’s time to forgive because I’m sure none of these things or people are worth going to hell for. Time to forgive your parents, those people who are constantly working witchcraft against you, your ex! That person who broke up your marriage. Forgive your children. That person who stole from you.
Time to forgive them.
I know it is so much harder when they are not repentant and they are doing it even to this day so I am going to show you how to I’ve done this in the past and how I keep myself free from this trap.
First you have to acknowledge that you within yourself and using your own abilities are not capable of forgiveness. Especially if this is a repetitive thing.
3 things are required:
-A hose (you)
-The water source (God)
-And the thing being watered (the person you need to forgive)
A hose is a tool. It cannot do anything by itself. (John 15:5) I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
It is not possible for you to forgive these deep hurts and wounds apart from Christ. You are just a useless hose. A conduit through which His Spirit, grace, love and forgiveness can flow.
All you need to do with that hose is connect it to the water source which is God.
There has to be a willingness to forgive. That’s what sets the process in motion. You have to physically pick up the hose and decide that you are going to connect it to the water source. It is a decision that you make to forgive. This has to do with your free will.
If you are willing and obedient you will eat the good of the land. It is a decision.
In the story of Jonah, we see that God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell the people to repent. Jonah refused but instead ran in the opposite direction. That is Jonah refusing to pick up the hose and attach it to the water source. Jonah within himself does not have the ability to forgive these people of their sins, he is a hose. He’s a tool and the conduit through which God will do His work.
It is the same with you. You are not capable to forgive, all you are doing is attaching yourself to the source of forgiveness.
Once you connect the hose to the water source all that you do next is turn on the water. You are the conduit and you are now connected to the source of the forgiveness, which is not you it is God working through you. Once you turn on the water then the forgiveness can flow through you to the thing/person/organization/group/government that is being watered
Aim and then let the water flow through you. Some of you were perfectly fine until 2020 came and then here we go, you got pulled into this through situations that you didn’t even create. People lost their jobs because they wouldn’t take a vaccine. This caused them to have unforgiveness towards their employer or the government. You didn’t see this coming but it affected your family.
I think about all the refugees that are running from their homes due to lack and/or war. You didn’t ask for that but there can be unforgiveness towards your government for that.
Perhaps you were hurt badly or abused by your parents or elders when you were growing up, you didn’t deserve that and that can bring unforgiveness in your heart towards them.
You’re not asking for those witches and wizards who are after you. You haven’t done anything to them but they are trying to hinder your destiny and calling because of their own evil intentions. Jealousy. You didn’t ask for that, but you still need to forgive them.
Extending forgiveness is not saying that they were right for what they did to you. No. What was done to you is real. YOU WERE WRONGED. This is not in question. You have a right to be hurt. What you are doing is making sure you don’t end up in hell because of a wrong that someone else did to you. If they want to go to hell, let them! If they don’t want to repent, let them! But you, being the innocent party in this shouldn’t end up in hell because of something that is being done to you.
They are not worth hell, are they? No. So now you need to release them.
What is true forgiveness?
It is releasing someone from the consequences of their actions. Leaving it to God to decide what happens to them. The Lord says Vengeance is mine, I will repay. It is allowing God to be God in a situation and not taking up that case by yourself.
If you have forgiven slavery, then you won’t require reparations for slavery because you forgave the consequences attached to that.
If you’ve forgiven police brutality, then you won’t vote to defund the police because you’ve released them from the consequences of it.
Yes, I know it is hard and it will cost you to forgive because this is a painful thing but the cost of unforgiveness is far greater, and the cost is an eternal one. Selah. They are not worth it!
Release them in your heart from the consequences. You are forgiving the debt, what they owe you as a result of what they did.
Practical steps to forgiveness
You can pray a simple prayer to release someone, picture again in your mind that you are just the hose, attach yourself to the water source, aim, and then release it on them.
Lord, with my will I forgive __________________________ for doing _______________________________. Forgive them through me.
Today, I am releasing them from the consequences of this sin. I am leaving it in Your hands.
Then you need to pray a blessing over them. Think about something good then pray that the Lord would do that for them. Pray for their salvation and the salvation of their children.
Yes, you’ll cry when you have to do this the first time, and perhaps the second time too but believe me when I tell you that it will get easier the more you do it. Every time you feel this coming up in your heart, pray the prayer.
Then there are some other practical steps that you can take:
If this is an individual do something practical reach out with a gift, or a kind phone call, if you know they are going through a difficult time then you can tell them you are praying for them or better yet, pray for them in person. This will really surprise them. Some of them may even think you’re stupid for doing that. Well, let them think that. You’re not the one going to hell. So who’s stupid now? LOL
Some of you may need to pray this for people who have already died. Do it.
If you have the ability to stay away from them, do that. Sometimes you need to create distance. You can forgive someone and choose not to reconcile the relationship. Especially if you see that they are unrepentant. In these situations, it is best for you to keep distance in between the two of you.
A next practical step is to stay away from things and persons that will draw you into the unforgiveness. For example, let’s say you have someone who is always gossiping or giving you the scoop on this person. You can no longer entertain these conversations. You have to shut that off. Close the door to these conversations because it will just dredge it back up.
Stay away from movies, music or any kind of entertainment artists that pull you into this mentally. Personally, I don’t watch any movie related to slavery or the holocaust. Nope. I stay away from that. I don’t care to watch it. What kind of emotions am I going to leave the movie theatre with after ingesting that? Is it fruitful? NO! It happened years ago, why does the entertainment industry keep digging up the dead bodies??? Year after year with the same foolishness. Let it be! Can’t they find another topic to make a movie? Don’t watch it. We are moving forward. You are not the dog who keeps returning to his vomit! (Proverbs 26:11) They want to keep you in bondage.
Why would I be singing those rap music or any song that talks about police brutality? Is that fruitful? NO!
You have to make a conscious effort to guard your spirit and foster peace within your heart, mind and soul.
Stay away from any movie, entertainment or music that will pull you back into that. Shut if off. This is not fruitful and leads to nowhere good.
Remember, the issue here is not whether or not this is true. It’s true! Now you need to move on and move past it. Now you need to stay away from those videos online that are just going to bring it right back. Don’t watch it. Stay free from it.
That’s how you maintain forgiveness. Don’t ingest the content that pulls you into unforgiveness.
The minute you start to feel your heart shifting to a place that is not wholesome and peaceful, it’s time to pray a prayer of forgiveness and release them. Time to send a gift and reach out with a nice phone call.
Don’t allow your heart to head in that direction. You do not have time to forfeit heaven. We are way too close to your wealth transfer for you to be entertaining this. Work through this by October 16th. The date is important as it is Hoshannah Rabbah. Now is not the time to forfeit your wealth transfer either. Remember, 2023 is a year of abundance and abundance is a choice. Choose to forgive.
For those of you who feel there is no one that you haven’t forgiven, take the time to sit with the Lord and ask Him…Lord, is there anyone that I haven’t forgiven? He’ll bring it to your attention. Believe me, it can start so subtly. You don’t even know when it creeped up on you.
I pray this has helped you.
