Prophetic Word – Time to Fuel Up!

This prophetic word is titled Time to Fuel up!

Who is this word for?  I believe everyone can benefit from this.  However, it is specifically for leaders.  Business leaders, church and ministry leaders or if you are the leader in your household.

This prophetic word is from a simple vision which is packed with revelation from God on where the leaders should be now.

I saw an ant walking on water carrying a red gasoline cannister.  That’s it.

I have to say this took me off guard because this is one of those visions that is not the usual thing and each piece of it has significance.

Let’s first look at the Ant…

(Proverbs 6 verse 6-8 NLT)

Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones.
Learn from their ways and become wise!
Though they have no prince
or governor or ruler to make them work,
they labor hard all summer,
gathering food for the winter.

(Proverbs 30 verse 24-25 NLT)

There are four things on earth that are small but unusually wise:
Ants—they aren’t strong,
but they store up food all summer.

From this we see that the ant, without having anyone watching over its back, works diligently.  The ant has integrity because whether you are looking at it or not, it’s behaving the same way.  Selah.  The ant has a purpose for this work and is focused to get it done.  The ant makes proper use of its time to work in the summer so that it will have what it needs for the winter, when it cannot work.

Everything that you are doing now is in preparation for what is coming.

Walking on water:

This is supernatural. I actually had to google whether or not ants can walk on water and apparently because of the surface tension of the water and the fact that they are so light, the ant can actually walk on water up to a certain point.  The ant cannot actually swim so one wrong move and it can drown.

This immediately reminds me of the story of Jesus walking on the water and Peter stepping out of the boat and starts walking towards Jesus on the water. Matthew 14:24-31

I’m sure you have heard this message preached before and like me we know that Peter lost his battle with the water when he focused on the waves instead of Jesus, right?  Well, verse 31 actually tells us exactly why he sank…

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Hmmm, so yes he lost his focus but it was more than that… he doubted.

You will run into a problem when you start to doubt. When you start to doubt what Jesus said.  When you start to doubt what God has promised you.  This is when the surface tension of the water that you are walking on will fail you.

Some of you are so far out on the water now that you can’t afford that.  Sinking is not an option.

The Gasoline Canister:

Am I telling you to go store up gasoline?  NO.  This is not like storing rice and finding out later that you did it all wrong and now

8 months later you have weevils, you wasted your money, you still have no extra food and now you have a pest problem.  No.  Gasoline is a whole other ball of wax.  The last thing you need is to store gasoline the wrong way and then …. KABOOM!  I am not telling you to go store gasoline.  Some things you need to leave to the professionals!

This is a different kind of gasoline.  Just imagine it in your mind, an ant, walking on water, carrying a red gasoline cannister in its little anty hands like a suitcase.  And, he wasn’t walking gingerly either.  He was confident of his steps as if he didn’t even realize that was the water.  There was also no visible land mass around so that told me he was way out there. Sinking is not an option.  But it had to be supernatural because remember now his weight is heavier because he’s carrying a can of gas.  He’s heavier but supernaturally doing something that shouldn’t be possible.

So what does God tell us about storing up?  Since we know that ants already store up, we know God was requiring this ant to store up even more.  It’s the parable of the Ten Virgins.

They all set out but 5 of them had that gas container with extra gas/oil.  So that if the journey across that water took a little longer than they thought, they would be prepared.  They wouldn’t be traveling on fumes thinking “shouldn’t we be there already?”… “is this the right way?” … “I’m not even sure if this is what we should be doing now”.  Do you want to be like that one army (that we all know) stuck in the middle of nowhere running out of food and gas – stuck!  God is saying that we are going to need to have a little extra in the tank to make it to the end of this year.  Because we need to be prepared for what is coming, winter.

The Leader:

The leader has to be prepared because if the leader sinks then the rest of the army of ants behind him are likely to do the same.  We see this when the leaders in our churches fall.  The congregants have a hard time readjusting to the new leadership or may even fall away from the church.  If you take this to a smaller scale if you are a single parent you can’t afford to have a mental breakdown, what will your children do?  The leader has to have extra gas in case something doesn’t go as planned.

When the ant is storing food it has it’s own personal stomach.  Somebody say “That’s for me!” and it has another stomach that it uses to share with others.

When you are leading people you should be leading them and giving out of your social stomach which is designated for other people

There is food that is only for you.  Why????  Because you need to take care of yourself.  If you are not OK, then the rest of the people that you are leading won’t be OK either.  You must leave something in the tank for yourself.  You can’t be leading people when you are running on fumes, hungry, tired, angry, burnt out, confused, lonely…. on the verge of a meltdown.  This is the recipe for bad decision making.  It will cause you to make moves of desperation that can be costly to everyone involved.  It is a very bad idea to use up the gasoline designated for others and start using your own gasoline to minister and lead others.  When you recognize that you are on your own compartment of gas, you need to step back and fuel up!  When you realize that you are dealing with personalities that are draining you, you need to step back from them.  Minimize your exposure to these types.

The plot of the enemy:

You know, I’ve said before there’s always something in the natural that is a direct correlation to something happening in the spiritual realm.  By the time you see it in the natural that is because it reached its fullness in the realm of the spirit and it starts manifesting.

Have you noticed that even though you are having your usual prayer time and spending time with God you seem to still get worn out much faster?  Comment below.

It’s almost like that container of gas isn’t lasting as long as it usually does. hmmm

So what is up with that?  Well, you burn more gas when you are driving around in the city and making multiple stops and starts than you do on the highway.  You can get more out of the tank of gas when you are on the highway and driving to one destination with minimal stops.  However, if you start and stop and start and stop and start and stop…now you can’t get as far.

What does this look like in the spirit?  Well, what if the enemy just piled on you.  I mean pile it on!!!

You have to do this, then this, then this, now you have this issue, and now there’s this, and you have to handle this, and this one needs this at 3 PM, and you have to be over here, and now this is a problem, and don’t forget about this, now you caught the flu, and now you need to go see your mom cause she’s sick, but you have a conference call at 6pm, but you need to make a quick stop at the store for milk, but you forgot to pick up your kids from school… this is what you call city miles – City MPG.

With a day like that, one hour worth of prayer in the morning will have you feeling worn out by noon!

This is the plot of the enemy.  Move you off highway miles and move you on to city miles.  Therefore all that time you spent with the Lord is eaten up in a matter of hours!

You know this is the year of building and establishing things.  There is work to be done.  Guess who else knows that?  The enemy.  He cannot stop you. So what is he doing? Finding a way to drain you.  Drain that gasoline so that you don’t have enough in the tank to get where you need to go.

Since the price increases in the gasoline did you know what the thieves have started to do??  Boring holes in people’s gas tanks and draining out the gasoline. #truestory.  It’s not even about the price of the gas, now can you imagine having to purchase and install a new gas tank on your car?  That’s a lot of money.

That is the physical manifestation of the thing that is happening in the spirit. Draining your gasoline.  The thief.

Your new vocabulary:

You need to push back on some of the things that are coming your way.  Just say No. Nope.

Sorry can’t do it.

Find someone else.

I’m not saying No, I’m just saying not now.

We’ll have to reschedule my meetings this week.  Which one?  All of them.

REST.  Take a Break.

You’re not doing this to shirk your responsibilities, no.  This is you recognizing when you have used all the food in the social stomach compartment and you are now on your own personal stomach.  You need to step back.  It’s too much. Time to fuel up!  And the truth is the only person who knows when you have reached your limit is you.

When you have things to do that have legitimate deadlines these are the things that need to take priority.  Everything else can wait.

You thought it would be great to sing in church not realizing that this translated to church on Saturday, 3 times on Sunday and then rehearsals on Wednesday for 2 hours so this great idea turned into 8 hours per week!  And it would’ve been fine if all of these other things didn’t start piling on you.  Gasoline Thief!  You need to step back.  Ask God what you should be doing.

You need to stop feeling guilty because you can’t do it.  Take care of yourself.  Most leader type personalities believe this “it’s only going to take me 10 minutes to do this”…2 hours later!  Or you do one thing and 5 more get piled on!  Cause that’s the game the enemy is playing now.

How to get Fueled Up:

You just need some time alone.

1 Take a nap.  Rest.  Rest. Rest.

2 Go for a walk, no phone calls or texting

3 The idea here is not for you to give out anything.  This is the time for you to be refueled so you should be in 100% receiving mode.  That is why this is not something you can get from others, this is a God thing.

4 This is not your “prayer time” no because then you are still giving out.  You are literally sitting or laying down and just allowing God to send angels to minister to you. Allowing the Father from heaven to drop a giant drop of water from heaven that washes unto you completely reviving and refreshing you.  Imagine yourself curling up in the lap of your Father and taking a nap.  Let Him nurture you.

5 Find a nice quiet spot where you can look at something peaceful – the ocean, mountain, animals, ducks in a pond.  Just a quiet peaceful place.  Do you like ambient sounds?  Play some of that.  Instrumental music is better.  It is more peaceful.  Again, no phone, no scrolling through social media, no thinking about all the things you have to do.  No feeling guilty that you could be working on this one project instead of sitting around doing nothing.  Nope.  That kind thinking is not allowed.

I don’t remember which one of the saints of old said “I have so much work to do today that I will need to spend 23 hours in prayer”  The idea is the more things you have to do is the more time you need to spend with the Lord.

While it seems counterproductive because why would you spend more time in silence if you have more work to do, it is actually the MOST productive part of your day.  Why?  God can give you a strategy to do something in 2 minutes that it would’ve taken you 1 hour to figure out if you sat there trying to do it by yourself.

Remember this year more than anything you are going to need blue shoes.  Revelation on how to get things done.  You will not be able to build and establish anything without revelation. And this revelation won’t come if you make God an afterthought.  He needs to be the main event.

6 You may be thinking you don’t have time to take a nap.  Well, how about doing it instead of going to lunch with your coworkers? Drive or park in a quiet spot, put your seat back, set your alarm so you don’t over sleep and take a nap!

7 Call up a friend “hey, can you watch the kids for me for an hour I have something I need to do.” Leave the house and go find a spot.

8 After you feel refreshed and rested, you only have one question for the Lord “what is it you need for me to do today?”  This has to do with your to do list.  Sometimes we are the ones who put excess pressure on ourselves when God is not even asking us to do all the things we are trying to do.  By getting His priorities, you will be doing exactly what He wants you to do and the rest can wait for another day. You are just focusing on today.

Make this a habit.  Find out what He needs you to do each day and do only that.  You will notice you no longer have that drained feeling.  Because that gas tank is restored, and you are only doing what God asked you to do in a single day and no more. Your mind is free from your massive to do list.  Today has enough worries of its own, leave tomorrow until tomorrow.  Focus on just today.

9 The next thing you want to do is ask God if there is an easier way for you to get things done.  You know, there are moments when we can over complicate things or take unnecessary steps because we never asked God how to do a thing. Ask Him.  You will find that He’s got an easier way for you to get things done and they will be done in record time.

Remember the last 2 points (8&9) only comes after you have rested.  If you lead with the questions, your mind is not going to have a chance to take a break.  Rest first, ask the questions later.  Do not be surprised if in the moment when you are just resting God gives you the solution without you even asking!  He’s that good.  I believe the act of you resting says “I trust you Lord”.

You need to come back and share the testimonies with me after you’ve done this because I am sure this is going to work wonders for you.

Everything I just shared was downloaded to me after getting that one vision.   As I reflected on it all the pieces of the message came together.

Then the next day as I was sitting with the Lord and fueling up, He gave me another vision/encounter that is a follow up the vision.

I saw a golden city, bright and shimmering up close.

Then the city moved away from me out into the distance where it was just over the horizon.  So it was pretty far away.  Then I noticed that between where I was standing and the city it was the sea.  Water.

The city was so bright that it lit up the sky with a gold reflection.  You know how the sky is blue because of the sea?  This sky was golden because of the city.  That is how bright it was.

Then I saw the ant.  Yep, he was there with a whole army of ants behind him.  He didn’t have the gas canister. They were all lined up one after the other.  I knew he was there to fuel up!!!!  Then I saw Jesus.  He was wearing a gold mantle with His gold crown on.  The train of His mantle was so long.  Reminds me of the scripture in Isaiah 6:1. Then the little ant stepped unto the sea and as soon as he did that the city that seemed so far away just moved in closer.  It was like this one movement from the ant caused the Promise, I felt like this city represented the promise, to move closer. When the other ants saw that the city moved closer they all stepped unto the sea and headed in a line towards the city.  God showed the little ant what to do to make the Promise move closer.  Phew!  The ant didn’t need to take that long journey across the water there was a way to move the promise in closer! A strategy.

Then the scene reset to the beginning again and we were back to the shore again standing… me, the ant with the other ants lined up behind him, Jesus and the city was back out in the distance.  This time I saw a red carpet roll out from the city to the shore and end right in front of the ant.  All he had to do was step on the carpet with all the other ants behind him and then the city pulled the carpet back into the city.  The ant didn’t even need to walk, he just stepped on the carpet and the Promised pulled him and the other ants IN!!!  Another strategy.

Then the scene reset again, and we were back on the shore and the city was back out in the distance.  Then Jesus stepped out on the water and took about 2 steps and He was at the city.  And the train of His golden mantle stretched all the way from the city back to the shore.  Once He got to the city He turned his upper body around and looked back at us and smiled.  The minute He smiled at us it was like we knew what we were supposed to do.  The little ant jumped on the train of His mantle and started running towards the city with the other ants running behind.  They were so excited some of them were doing summersaults.  LOL I mean I could feel their JOY.  The jubilation and excitement was seen in their body language because we never thought of this as an option until He gave us that little mischievous smile (for lack of a better way of describing the smile).  It was effortless.  Yet, another strategy.

In this whole interaction the Lord said nothing.  He was just showing me that He has many ways to get things done.  And, not one of them involves you breaking the surface tension of the water and drowning.  He can part this sea if that’s what needs to be done!  As a matter of fact, some of the option doesn’t even involve you walking on water!!!  They had a red carpet and then they had the train of His robe.  I don’t know about you but I would get on the train. It’s just a way cooler way to travel, lol

You just need to know when to step back and rest in Him. You have to get really good at this for the days ahead.

Here’s what I think… in the natural people/the world is going to see that you are doing this really impossible thing that looks like you are walking on water. They’ll recognize the gas canister because while they are all going crazy you are going to be a cool as a cucumber.  Calm.  That is going to tell them that you have something extra in the tank.  That’s what you’ll look like in the natural.  But in the spirit, you’re actually just walking on the train of His robe because He’s already gone ahead of you.  He is the way and you are just following Him.  You cannot be a great leader until you know how to follow.  There’s no more sea.

Revelation 21:1-5

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

verse 15 “…and the city was pure gold”
