The following Prayer is for a hedge of protection around you and your family according to Psalm 91. Psalm 91 is a prayer for Christians only. This is not a prayer to be prayed for or by non Christians as the basis of the protection is seen in Verse 14.  If you would like to know how to become a Christian, see the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  If you would like other scriptures to meditate on for protection and against fear, you can visit this page – Bible Verses for Protection

Psalm 91 NLT (New Living Translation)

1 Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 This I declare about the Lord:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
3 For he will rescue you from every trap
and protect you from deadly disease.
4 He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
5 Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
6 Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
7 Though a thousand fall at your side,
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you.
8 Just open your eyes,
and see how the wicked are punished. 9 If you make the Lord your refuge,
if you make the Most High your shelter,
10 no evil will conquer you;
no plague will come near your home.
11 For he will order his angels
to protect you wherever you go.
12 They will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.
13 You will trample upon lions and cobras;
you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! 14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

Hedge of ProtectionHeavenly Father, I (we) ask You to place a hedge of protection around me (us). It hides me (us) from the enemy, familiar spirits, any and all demon spirits, making it difficult, if not impossible for them to effectively track or trace me in the realm of the spirit. There shall be no perforations or penetrations to these hedges of protection according to your word in Psalm 91. I(we) know that You will answer this prayer because I (we) love You and I(we) trust in Your name only.  I pray that Your blood Lord Jesus will cover me(us) and all that You have given me(us).  That the enemy will not have access to what has been given to me(us).Thank you for your divine protection in Jesus Name, Amen.

Here are some other scriptures for you to pray and meditate on and also another Prayer For Protection:

Exodus 12:13 (New Living Translation)

But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt.

Zechariah 2:5 (New Living Translation)

Then I, myself, will be a protective wall of fire around Jerusalem, says the Lord. And I will be the glory inside the city!’”

Job 1:7-10 (New Living Translation)

“Where have you come from?” the Lord asked Satan.   Satan answered the Lord, “I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that’s going on.” Then the Lord asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.” Satan replied to the Lord, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God.  You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!

    I thought Psalms was in the OLD Testament…How could it be for Christians only when there were no Christians until Antioch?

      Good question Ken, imagine the cross of Christ being in the middle.
      Here is a picture —Old Testament—>> T <<——New Testament—— When we read Hebrews 11 we see that all in the Old Testament died in faith looking towards the promised Messiah. The New Testament and until today look back at the cross because it has already happened. So, yes it refers to those who have died in faith looking to the Messiah who we now know is Jesus Christ. Psalm 22 talks about Christ, Isaiah 53 talks about Christ, Micah 5:2 talks about Christ and He had not yet walked the earth. These are all prophetic scriptures that we have now seen fulfilled.

    I disagree with the idea that this is for christians only! So God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten son. That who ever, that’s right whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life! Jesus loves all of us. You don’t have to be Christian to love Jesus! I’m a Christian and even I know this!

      Hi Erika, while you might disagree with the “idea” that Psalm 91 is not for unbelievers this is a fact. Not ever scripture in the bible is for everyone. You also need to know that an unsaved person cannot pray the Armor of God (Ephesians 6:6-10 for protection) because that is for believers only too. If everything in the bible was for everyone, why be saved? What would be the incentive? Jesus did die for the world but guess what? The world won’t be saved! It’s all about free will. We get to choose. Life or death, the choice is ours but not everyone will choose Jesus. Here are some other facts that people generally hate hearing… Some people will actually go to hell. Revelation 20:15 Fact. Jesus is the only way to heaven, this not a suggestion. There are not several paths to salvation, only Jesus. John 14:6 Fact. There is a devil. Revelation 20:2 Fact. There is a hell. Revelation 20:14 Fact. NO, these facts are not warm and fuzzy. They are just facts! Why would God do that? You should read Romans 11:11. Even Jewish people have to be saved by Jesus. Yes, not even the chosen get a free pass. God set it up this way to spark JEALOUSY!
      Imagine you can cast out demons, heal the sick, work miracles, open the heavens and blessings pour out to people EVERYONE would say “how do you do that? I want to do that too!” Your response should be… Well, you need to come to Jesus, accept Him as your Lord and Savior and you get the benefits package – eternal life first and the rest of it to boot! We don’t hand out the blessings and benefits while watching people go to hell. There are benefits here on earth to being saved. Not everything in the bible is for unbelievers. Why? To make them realize they need Jesus to enjoy the benefits! If someone asks you why can’t you pray Psalm 91 over me? You simply tell them this is for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, I can pray for you to receive Christ right now and then you too can pray this Psalm. Would you like to do that now? It’s that simple Erika. Guess what? At the end of the day it will be their choice. Free will. If you have further questions, talk to your pastor about this. Please pray for me, Celena, and my exhusband, Neil, to get back together. I was a lost soul: I lied, had multiple affairs and didn’t know how much I loved him until I came home one day and all his things were gone. I ask for forgiveness everyday for my transgressions. I am not sure if God has forgiven me. I know my ex hasn’t. He said he has locked me off, and the things I am doing are being done too late, he wants to move on and has asked me to respect his wishes.
    But I believe my God is a God of miracles and forgiveness and compassion. He can see my heart and knows why I strayed. He also knows how sorry I am and how much he means in my life. I pray this Hedge of Prtection prayer and I also pray to St. Jude, the patron saint of impossible petitions. I pray everyday for him to heal me and forgive me and send Neil back to me. I love him and miss him. Though he is surrounded by people who are introducing him to drinking, partying and other women, my God is powerful and will protect his mind from being influenced further and will open Neil’s eyes and show him that despite all, I was good to him and never took advantage of him as these people are doing. What God has put together, let no man put asunder. Believe and have faith, all. And when Neil and I are reunited in Christ’s name I will come back and give my testimony. So be it, Amen!

    This Psalm, I feel, draws seekers. It resonates Jesus’ truth and divinity. It is prophetic and it is evidence of His death, burial, resurrection, and, love for His church.
    I agree with the author of the prayer following the scripture. What has been shared here is an excellent example of the scriptures power to teach.
